Patience is a virtue people! I arrived on a Saturday morning about 15 minutes after opening. There was already two people in front of me on the wait list; one who was about be taken care of and the other gentleman who will be waiting. The nice guy working there was pleasant, gave us a registration form and assured that we will be taken care of after his first customer. Thirty minutes went by and then it turned it turned into a little under an hour. I wasn't sure why it took forever. The second guy before gets mad and storms out saying "you have more patience than I do". No problem with me since I'll be going next. As soon as the second guy leaves, the clerk returns finished with examining his first customers vehicle. My car didn't take too long, about 20 minutes. At the time of payment, he told me he had technical difficulties with some equipment that pushed him 15 minutes behind schedule. They have a ten dollar off coupon on their site I was going to use but the guy just took it off for not leaving with the second guy and save the site coupon for another time. Get there early if you're planning on coming here, it's best to be the first one and waiting doesn't hurt neither. read more

Horrible customer service over the phone- I think it was Anthony?, who I spoke with- he made me feel like he didn't want to be there & could care less if I brought my business to them- he was curt & rude & made me feel like I was wasting his time! So I called up Kyle over at Pass & Go Smog and what a difference!! I will NEVER bring my business to a place that treats me so rude! Smog & Go is the only place I'll go from now on, even if they are 10$ more expensive! They currently have 154 positive (almost all) 5 star reviews!! That should tell you something!! read more

I was a walk-in today for a smog test. The gentleman was polite and straightforward letting me know it will be approx 30-40 minutes before my car is tested. One other person was ahead of me and already waiting. His car was being serviced for something else. I was next in line. Once my car was taken back -- the test was fairly quick - approx 15 minutes. I lamented that I forgot to bring the coupon I printed out and to my surprise, he honored the discount for the smog. Total cost including certificate came to a flat $40. Not bad! Again, the gentleman was very polite, friendly and in good spirits. The only thing that I would have to mention is the gentleman was apparently working alone and a little frustrated to keep having to stop what he's doing (working on cars) to come out to the counter. There seems to be a bell or buzzer that rings in the garage that alerts the garage that someone has walked in (or out). This buzzer is not audible to customers coming in. I seem to have triggered this buzzer as I went out to my car to check the odometer as I filled out the paperwork for the smog test with my information and the gentleman had already returned to working on the car ahead of me. He came back to the counter and commented that "The Owner" insists he come check the counter every time the bell rings and not keep the customers waiting. A little while later, some random passerby came in needing to use the phone. The gentleman allowed him to use the phone and made sure it was only a local call. He returns to the back to work on the cars and this random person was on the phone for some time trying to reach someone for a ride home. The gentleman in the back returned to retrieve the phone and muttered that he's just wasted 5 minutes work time because "The Owner" called to state the business phone was off the hook and people were waiting at the counter. However, the phone was in use by this passerby who ended up standing in the doorway. The gentleman working here was otherwise friendly and expeditious - however I believe from a professional point, he should have kept some of his comments to himself instead of complaining/trying to make excuses for how things run. Maybe it was just an off day for him - he's there alone and trying not let the customers wait. I want to stress he was smiling and polite to me and the man ahead of me. He was honest about how long it would be and I can't beat the price. I'm still happy with the service and will gladly return again in the future for my smog tests. read more

I really cannot say enough about how fabulous Travis is... He is there every day of the week, with a smile, and Yelpers did not steer me wrong! My check engine light was on, and instead of taking my money and letting me fail, Travis let me know that I should get my car checked out first... Not only that, he recommended me to an honest mechanic that he trusts - and set it up to squeeze me in on a Sunday... (Side note: Reggie the mechanic is amazing too! He brought me out under my car while it was suspended and showed me, so I really understood, what needed to be done!) Talk about going above and beyond and not taking advantage of a young looking girl! I waited in the smog shop for my car at the mechanic, and I witnessed every transaction... Travis was kind and friendly to every person who walked in... Very refreshing to see :) I ended up needing to come back a few days later to get my smog... He greeted me by name (impressive! I'm the worst with names!), and had me in and out the door in under 15 minutes! I'm not super close, but I will gladly go out of my way to support Travis and his shop... You should too! read more

GO HERE IF YOU WANT THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RATES! Travis is amazing. I called in today (which happens to be a Sunday) and he said he would cut down the price to 55 and I have a 98' Lincoln navigator. I went in and showed him my yelp app with a check in of 10$ and he wasn't annoyed with me being a cheap college student, at all. He was looking to give me the best price possible with a smile the whole time. Best customer service anyone could possibly ask for. I didn't know much about the tire pressure. I asked a few questions about how low the tire/s looked on air to him and he said part of his job was to check it. He went above and beyond, he not only fixed the issue with the tire pressure but personally showed me a sticker on my drivers door (for future reference) that states the pressure my front and back tires should always be at. He is extremely personable. I passed with flying colors and will be referring and coming here anytime I need a smog. read more

UPDATE 11-17-14: This year my vehicle was up for smog inspection, so, based upon my last experience at Smog Shop, I returned here for the test. Upon entering the shop, I was immediately greeted by Travis, the new co-owner of the shop. He and his partner purchased the business not long after my last visit. It was Monday morning around 10 am and I may have been the first customer in. Travis told me that they had done quite a few updates to the equipment in the shop since taking over, and that he expected to have me in and out in less than 10 minutes. And true to his word, he did just that (of course, it helped that my vehicle passed the test). I found the place to be clean, and Travis was friendly, courteous, and professional in every respect. Without hesitation I would continue to recommend Smog Shop if you need a test for your vehicle. One tip: go to their website and check for coupons before you go, because they regularly offer specials and discounts. As good as it gets! read more

I was looking forward on taking advantage of there $10off yelp coupon to just pay $40 with certificate but my little scion Xb was considered a SUV/truck and didnt qualify for the coupon since that only qualify for sedans only. I arrived at 3:30 pm on a Saturday, which was 30 minutes before they closed, and Ken greeted me promptly.
