Overall: Quick, efficient and GREAT customer service. I am so happy I found Haik and Smog Zone! I was registering my SUV at the DMV and I didn't have an updated Smog Certificate. I quickly searched my iPhone for local smog centers and this came up. I called this place and he said he could get me right in and it was only $50...they were offering a $10 discount. Another car had arrived before I did but I didn't end up waiting very long and the smog check itself was quick. He also helped me maneuver my car on and off the street because parking is tricky. I couldn't get over helpful the customer service was. I highly recommend! Smog Zone is opening up a new location across the road soon. It looks like there will be more parking and I was a told, a better waiting area. Although as far as smog centers go there is nothing wrong with the current wait area. read more

Finding a gem of a place like this is why I LOVE Yelp so much. I needed a smog test for my registration renewal. There are so many smog check stations. It's hard to know which ones are reputable unless you have a recommendation. I also wanted to find a place that would do it quickly so I wouldn't have to wait around. Yelp is such a great source for recommendations when you don't have one from a friend. I came first thing in the morning, when they opened and the guy (who was very nice) took my car almost immediately. My total time there was all of 10 - 15 minutes. Unfortunately, my car didn't pass the smog check. However, the guy was very knowledgeable and told me this probably happened because I hadn't driven the car enough after having an oxygen sensor replaced. He suggested I drive on the freeway for about 30 minutes or so to allow the sensor to reset and come back for a retest. (Retesting is deeply discounted -- $20-ish instead of $40-ish for the initial test). When I returned, the car still didn't pass, but the guy said he was pretty sure it just needed to be driven a little bit more, as the test wasn't showing any malfunctions. Sure enough, he was right, and the car finally passed -- and he didn't charge me for the second retest. Bottomline: Great experience in every way. I will always go here in the future. read more

This is my 2nd time coming here for a smog test. I had a good time last time checking, so this time I came back again. During Covid 19, they were keeping a station very clean and also making sure every customers were feeling safe and comfortable. I really appreciated they are doing their best to keep everyone safe by having enough space for waiting spaces. They also set outside with some seats and a canopie, inside waiting area is spacy and windows are open. Air is circulated well through out the shop and very clean and tidy. Also, they take $10 off when I checked in! People work here are friendly and professional. It does not take long to get a smog test done at here unless if they have other people ahead of you. Make sure to call them before you head out during a Covid time, so they can give you what store hours during weekend. For labor day weekend, they told me they were taking a long weekend, so will be closing early by 1130 on Thursday. read more

The first time I came here was about 5 years ago. It was fast and reasonable price. But my best experience was a week ago. Went to AAA to pay my registration and didn't notice I needed a smog check. Rushed over on a Friday just before 5 pm. The garage door was down a bit and I peeked my head inside and asked if they were closed. Unfortunately they had just shut down all the computers. They asked me if I could come back tomorrow. I said I couldn't. One of the guys took my paperwork and asked one of guys in the shop next to him if he could do my smog test. The guy agreed!
