My son & I went this AM for breakfast... our usual go-to when he comes home…read more He ALWAYS gets Chicken & Waffles... and I had a breakfast sandwich that came w home fries. Could not even BITE the home fries.... Completely raw, no seasoning. Then my son looked at his, & there was VERY little chicken... looked like 2 chicken nuggets CUT IN HALF. It was so minimal and he hid it UNDER the waffles. We immediately told the server, who promised to have more chicken made. (Which they did & it was ok) We were surprised cuz there used to be 2 full sized pieces of fried chicken w the waffles. Seems the tough economy has trickled down to the Early Bird. (BTW, my egg sandwich was great...) Disappointing!!! Chef Stephen was DEFINITELY not cooking there today!!!

We were a little bothered by couple of things one I ordered a sausage gravy with biscuits and it came up with the gravy on it on top of biscuit, but the sausage was like sliced sausage on like the side and whole fries and unfortunately, even though I asked the girl who was Italian sausage I believe the sausage was chicken because it was very light in color it had no texture to it and I didn't want anything that wasn't mixed in with the gravy already and it was not. My husband had the homemade corn beef hash that was very good and that worked out well however, towards the end of the meal, I has asked to server to bring out the manager like to speak with her. The man came out and took her to one side. I ended up showing her that Walking across my table I had killed a bug she her response as well I think it might have come from the ceiling. I'm sorry she didn't offer us a free coffee or beverage or anything to do with getting a discount meal OK however she's like I said I just want you to know why I took you to one side, I said, but I didn't expect it be dropping on my table cause it was kind of gross. Between the fact that the food was not cooked enough OK and they did not offer to take it back to Air Cook. It was the fact that there was a bug on my table. I'm pretty sure breakfast was not worth $32 plus a tip. I had no problem paying the six dollar tip. The girls are working there. I did, however have a problem paying the full bill when you should be there I'm off of some sort of discount or something to take off like that something take my homemade muffins or something not expected it, but it was pretty disgusting once that happened. We probably won't be back againthere. I went there cause I hadn't gone there in like 30 years and I wanted to try it out and have breakfast with my honey before we went to the mall in Kingston, however but I wish I had gone someplace else for sure.

Did not have a lake view but comfortable atmosphere and nice bar area, lots of tvs for sports. Cool nostalgia on the walls w large black and white pics of movies, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller and Wise Guys...waiter was over quick w water and a decaf coffee. Our food came out quick as well. Great service. I had a side Caesar instead of fries w the shrimp op not wrap. That was an extra $2.50. Not thrilled but didn't want the fries. I loved the salad, portion was big and good ratio of fresh parm focaccia croutons and dressing,, tasty. The wrap was stuffed w flavorful lightly fried shrimp and a zesty creamy dressing w lettuce carrot and tomato, super good! Plenty of shrimp, no skimping there at all. Husband was not impressed with his garden salad and grilled chicken. Chicken had little flavor, small portion, and salad was chopped into very small pieces, not his thing. Plenty of salad but could have been more protein on it. I would go back and hope he would too, but try something else. I took off 1 star because of his meal. Average price food

I am updating my review! An extra $6 for chicken and this is what I got. What the hell???? This entire salad cost me $19 like it's some kind of gourmet restaurant and they give Subway quality chicken. There was no dressing on the salad or on the side. And the chicken tasted off. Almost like a tuna flavor. Truly disappointing meal in every way.

As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of cafes and a lover of unique local spots, I'm thrilled to share…read moremy experience with Slack Tide Coffee Co., a fantastic new addition to Kingston that opened its doors in May. The name itself, "Slack Tide," immediately resonated with me, bringing back memories of Chincoteague Island's pony swim - that perfect, serene moment when the tide is just right for safe passage for ponies through a narrow channel when the tide is neither coming in or going out. True to its name, this coffee shop aims to be "just right" in every aspect, and it absolutely delivers. I've had the pleasure of visiting twice since their opening, and each time has been a delight. My dirty chai was perfectly balanced, offering that comforting spice kick without overpowering the espresso. The London Fog latte was equally impressive, a smooth and aromatic treat. They've clearly mastered their beverage game, using quality ingredients and a skilled hand. Beyond the excellent coffee, Slack Tide offers some truly memorable eats. On their very first day, I snagged one of their limited-supply donuts - a big, brioche beauty that was utterly delicious. But the real star, and a personal favorite, was the Weekend Special Pub Breakfast Biscuit ($9.00) I enjoyed with my goddaughter after a softball game last month (see photo). This sandwich is ridiculously good: a perfectly fried egg, crispy bacon, a savory house-made pimento cheese spread, and a unique red pepper jelly, all nestled on a homemade biscuit. As with all biscuits, it's a bit crumbly; a multi-dimensional bite. It's worthwhile to stay in-store and devour it versus take it on the go and lose some of the magic to your shirt while attempting to navigate your way on MA-27 or to the laws of thermodynamics once you get it home. I ate on site while my favorite kiddo enjoyed a banana and peanut butter treat. The sandwich was a flavor explosion that I'm still thinking about. Also, I sent family members pictures while they were at brunch at some fancy Newport spot and they were quite jealous. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are friendly and efficient. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer, whether you're catching up with a friend or just enjoying a quiet moment. If you're in Kingston or passing through, Slack Tide Coffee Co. is an absolute must-visit. They've quickly become a favorite, and I can't wait to see what other delicious offerings they'll introduce. Don't miss out on this fantastic local spot - it truly is "just right"!
