    Mermaid lemonade

I ate at Liv today after a very long time. It was fabulous. The reason I didn't go for a while was because of a health issue that affected my mobility. I use a cane now, and Liv was the first place on my list of faves to inquire about accessibility. They responded quickly, with kindness and reassurance, and I immediately felt comfortable venturing there. Candace, the server, was awesome. I had the Mermaid Lemonade, oysters, tuna tataki and the Firecracker Shrimp. Oh my!!! Oysters were perfect, I always get the kimchee (which is house made by the chef/owner). The ponzu sauce on the tataki was so good and the delicate little hot peppers on top were the perfect touch. And the shrimp!! Go! Run! Have it! The sauce HD notes of honey, lime and sweet chili. If no one was present I would have picked up the serving dish and poured every last drop of it into my mouth. To add to my experience- Candace recognized me, told Tom, and he came out to say hello and thank me for coming. PS - The shrimp is seasonal. Please go there and convince the owner that it needs to be on the menu all the time.

My fiancé and I came here for her birthday and we were truly blown away at how good the food was. Our favorite was the calamari and the pork belly with kimchi fried rice. Ryan was our server and he made sure our meal was enjoyable as possible. Can't recommend enough!

This is a cozy place with a very friendly, neighborly vibe. The bar seemed like a popular spot for local-seeming folks. I should start off by saying our service was absolutely excellent! Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. She answered our questions with great patience and knowledge. I also appreciated that she provided service without acting fake or overly "sweet". It just felt really genuine and like she was being herself. We trusted her completely. Now, to the food: - warm bread + oil: not worth it. it was only $2 but the rolls, while tasty, were super soft. we just were expecting something more rustic and homemade-feeling. - crab cake: delish! two medium sized crab cakes served with yummy sauce and fresh micro greens - fish and chips: amazing! so fresh! the fish portion was huge and the breading was crispy but verrrrry thin. so perfect. served on a bed of shoestring fries that were fine/meh and a "kimchi coleslaw" that i didn't really like (though i had been excited for it as i love kimchi and coleslaw) - grilled chicken sandwich: very tasty! fresh ingredients and lots of yummy toppings. served with fine/meh shoestring fries The menu was really diverse and if I lived in the area I would certainly frequent this place. The outdoor patio looked inviting and would have been lovely on a warm evening!

What a hidden gem! Thanks to @danfelixmusic for recommending it to us (bonus was him playing there tonight/Wednesdays!)- we had the cheese board, seafood martini and the Parmesan truffle fries - everything was fantastic! Ryan was our server and he was also fantastic. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

I really, really wanted to love this place. Maybe I had set expectations that were too high? So to start, I got take out. I called, as I was driving in the rain. I asked about the specials, and was told they were online, to look. Just a note here, if someone calls and asks, they probably can't look online. So, maybe just tell the future customer. Also, you have to go through a huge menu of drinks before you can even find the food on the online menu, so...Moving on... I ordered some tapas special soup...I have no review on that....I then ordered buffalo cauliflower, and a caesar salad with steak. Now, I have had buffalo cauliflower, and variations thereof, countless times, in multiple restaurants. I know they can be different, I haven't met one I don't like. Until tonight. Just butter, buffalo sauce, maybe spice, and soggy cauliflower. No thanks. The caesar. I was excited, brioche croutons, and marinated anchovies. The TWO croutons were great. Yes, two. Oh well, I would have anchovies, right? Yeah, no...Those weren't there either. Not a one. Oh, and the dressing was...meh... (As a side note...I did mention I had an hour drive home, so I wanted to make sure everything was in my bag, in case something was missing). The one positive? The steak. Thank goodness I ordered it, I almost didn't! It was the best thing I got. Excellent in fact. Hence the third star. I know, I am picky, but for over $40, I expect more.

What a treasure. A-Z perfection, and I mean it. No. I'm not a paid spokesperson for Liv; you folks know I'm direct, straight, and honest. St. Patrick's Day 2021; lots of choices; just great to get out of the house after the previous year. I took my Mother for the 40 minute drive it took us to get to Liv, and it was definitely worth the drive. We were very skeptical as we pulled into the small strip mall where Liv is located. Not the most attractive plaza, but Liv had a nice outside sign. We forged ahead. Inside we met Bobby. Welcoming, friendly, professional, happy to see us. Gave us a great corner table on the window; very comfortable. We noticed all the COVID precautions. On top, we were the only ones there; around 2. After lunch; before dinner. Irish music going because of the holiday; we were in heaven. Bobby doubled as bartender as well as server. The drinks are unique, special, and delicious; all super fresh ingredients. Paloma Spice was a great drink. The whole menu is welcoming. We chose the Buffalo Nachos, and the BBQ chicken flat bread. We split the Beef Stew. All ingredients were super fresh, dishes plentiful. Perfectly spiced. I honestly can't say enough. Everything tasted truly homemade. For desert we had the s'mores treat. Baked right in your own mini cast iron pan. The real treat is the peanut butter bottom you'll find. This place is a refreshing welcome to such a challenging year. Superb customer service is hard to find as well. Bobby was on point, he made us feel like family. Then to top it off with the most freshest delicious food. Homemade food with a modern vibe. What a home run!

The chefs are true artists, imagining and executing haute cuisine with skill, precision, and personality. We opted for the optional caviar starter course, which was brilliant. The caviar, served with Pringles potato chips and tangy egg salad, was an exquisite introduction to the tasting menu. The house-made sourdough focaccia with homemade butter may have been the best bread we've eaten. The dayboat scallop was pan-seared and paired with ginger whey-poached pork belly, Anson Mills Carolina Gold lobster congee, and a sake-soy veil. It was incredible. The peas and carrots course of Thumbelina carrots, sweet peas, whipped coconut, and carrot-mint consommé was unlike anything we've experienced before. It was inspired. The fluke was sorrel brioche-crusted and accompanied by razor clam escabeche, sauce romesco, and sea beans, was magnificent. The chef spoke about harvesting the local sea beans himself, and the razor clam purveyor happened to be dining alongside us. It was a memorable and distinctly Cape Cod moment. The intermezzo was a cranberry membrane filled with a refreshing burst of vodka, and delightfully cleansed the palate. The optional foie gras bonbon, encased in milk chocolate, was another triumph. We agreed we would have missed out had we passed on it. It was one of the finest foie gras bites we've ever enjoyed. The tri-tip sirloin course featured American Wagyu with sweet onion soubise and toasted ramp-and-vinegar gnocchi. "Amazing" hardly begins to describe it. The Humboldt Fog cheese course was dramatically torched tableside and served with blueberry shallot jam, toasted milk bread, and smoked almonds. Sublime, artistic, and utterly delicious. The included dessert course featured caramelized white chocolate, lychee, pink guava sorbet, macadamia toffee, white chocolate gel, and olive oil sponge. It was unbelievably good. An optional dessert accompaniment, ordered by every diner, was a layered chocolate, shortbread, and banana tart topped with caviar was a playful and fitting finale. The charming atmosphere, attentive staff, and excellent music had diners on their feet dancing between courses. We finished with their homemade Mignardises and were given a lovely packet to take home which included a homemade scone. This restaurant is wildly civilized. Many courses were served on beautiful handcrafted pieces from Scargo Pottery in Dennis collaboratively designed by the chef and the talented Scargo artist Tina Holl. I offer only praise and gratitude for the extraordinary food, welcoming atmosphere, talented and artistic staff, and a dining experience that reminds us how exceptional Cape Cod dining can be. Clean Slate delivered one of the most memorable meals we've had anywhere on the Cape.
