Our pickup was at 10 a.m. in Alpine. We grabbed two briskets and two racks of ribs, tucked them into a cooler, and wrapped everything in a blanket for the drive home. By lunchtime, the meat was still hot. The brisket was perfectly cooked--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, just the way they should be. The baked beans were solid and rounded out the meal nicely, though I wouldn't have complained about a little extra BBQ sauce. Surprisingly, the brisket was even better on day two, probably because it had a full day to rest and soak in all that flavor. Overall, the food was excellent and absolutely worth the money. We'll definitely be back.

The MELENZANE RIPIENE (eggplant stuffed with ricotta, parmesan, and cherry tomatoes) was incredible: rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The calamari fritti was crispy and delicious, and the TONNO ASIATICO (seared ahi tuna with sweet chili glaze, ginger, teriyaki, and wasabi) was a huge hit at the table. We also had to try their house-made mozzarella sticks, don't skip these...the cheese pull alone is worth it For the mains, we had the CAPELLINI ALLA CHECCA and the RIGATONI ALLA NORMA, and both were fantastic. You can really taste the difference, the pasta is imported from Italy, and it shows in the texture and flavor. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus a large bar with a full menu. Our daughters even ask to come for the bread alone. Unfortunately, our experience this evening was unlike anything we've encountered here before. From the hostess, to our server, to the owner, every interaction felt unfriendly and dismissive. The only bright spot was the bus staff--they were kind, attentive, and appreciated. The food remains wonderful, but the service was shockingly disappointing. There's really no other way to describe it: rude. We sincerely hope this was an isolated experience because this has always been one of our favorite places to visit.

Brian is very friendly and professional and is willing to work with you as a client. His prices are also really competitive, which helped our budget (not that the food tastes budget at all!) I was able to take parts of his regular menu and turn them into appetizers, which he and his staff served separately and were well-prepared to do. For those interested, we had mixed fruit and lumpia trays with spicy sweet and sour sauce. Our mains were Kalua pig with cabbage, Hawaiian BBQ chicken, pancit, macaroni salad, and an Asian garden salad. I was getting compliments left and right (not that I deserved them- Brian and his cooks and servers did) about the quality of the food. Everything was delicious (especially the meats- oh my goodness the slow cooked pork and the flavors on that chicken!) I saw a few guests clutching his business cards as they left like they wanted to keep him as their own little secret. I was the sole event organizer, and I really liked that Brian made a point to contact me at least twice leading up to the event to confirm and hash-out every detail of the event's proceedings. The team was back a couple hours before party time and by the time my guests arrived everything was ready to go. The presentation was gorgeous and the food was exceptional!! Everyone was raving about it. The best part for me was the full service from set up to clean up. By the time they left, you would never know they were there... except for the neatly boxed leftovers!!
