A pretty good restaurant at fire keepers! Our favorite is Nibi but this is a good second and definitely more reasonable price point. The food is fresh and comes out quickly. The seasoning on the blackened chicken is one of my favorite. Good homemade ranch as well. The clam chowder was a very large portion and very good! Fried green tomatoes were cooked perfectly and the top chipotle sauce was the perfect pairing. Quick service and don't need reservations. This is our favorite restaurant at the casino. Prices are reasonable for a casual upscale meal and service is always great. The last time I went my mom and I split the crab cakes and Michigan salad and both were amazing. I don't know if I'll ever order anything different! Portions are huge and big enough to split. We had about a 30-minute wait despite most of the tables sitting empty, which was frustrating right from the start. Service didn't improve once we were seated--only one person in our group got a refill, and that was only because he asked. Our server was hard to track down the rest of the meal. The food was also disappointing. The mac and cheese was so cold it had started to stick together, the hamburger was undercooked and tasted like a frozen patty, and the pulled pork sandwich was supposed to come with sauce but arrived completely dry. We couldn't get the server's attention to fix it before the food got cold. The best thing we had was the crab cake--and unfortunately, the burger (even tasting like a frozen patty) was still one of the better items. Went here to take out my wife's father for Christmas. There are not many restaurants open for Christmas, hence here we are at Smoke & Fire at Firekeeper's casino. If you go, make reservations. We arrived on time and they were letting walk ups know it would be a two hour wait. We were seated immediately and our server was always attentive. My wife and I had the Christmas Special which was a huge Prime Rib with twice baked potato and broccolini. It was great, we both had to take some home. Bill had a full rack of ribs and two sides. We went here the morning after enjoying a great evening at Firekeepers. Although they are best known for their BBQ do not overlook their breakfast menu. Great quiet and well decor rd modern ambiance with extremely attentive service. Although our waitress "V" did a great job there were others to always keep that coffee cup full of there house blend. Too bad I could not buy it! My wife had the Butter pecan waffles and I enjoyed the egg omelette that was huge in portion, great in taste with mixed sausage, cheddar cheese and bacon. First of all the entrance is on the hotel side. Go in the hotel entrance and the restaurant is to the left. The atmosphere here is very casino. Shocker, it being in a casino. Everything thing is very colorful. That's not a bad thing, just a little in your face. I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16). The Sandwich consist of Spicy coleslaw, house-made pickles, fried onions, house-made bbq sauce. The Sandwich is a pretty sandwich. However the taste left a lot to want for. It's not a bad sandwich it's just very average. The bun was a cheap bun that easily falls apart, it does taste decent though. The spicy coleslaw was ehh and fried onions untastable.the bbq sauce doesn't stand out. The pulled pork was tender and again tasted average. I upgraded the side for $2 to the Carolina Baked Beans. They were not good. Maybe it's the carolina. I LOVE baked beans and I didn't finish these. By far the best thing was the pickles. Slightly spicy and delicious. The service was excellent. Super friendly and efficient. They did a great job keeping my drink full. Overall a 3 star review. It could have been a two, however service was excellent and the food overall was average, so 3 seems right. Would I return? No. I don't live close and while the other food is probably much better, if a bbq place can't do a simple pulled pork well, it's a pass to me. read more

Was here spending a weekend at Firekeppers Casino Hotel and came here for dinner. At first walking up we were greeted by a gang of waitress just standing at the hostess desk putting lip gloss on and looking bored. We were seated immediatetly and offered drinks while we reviewed the menu. So let me just get to it......I wanted shrimp added to my entree but they don't allow it, you can only get shrimp as an entree. I ordered the filet migon with mashed potatoes and baked beans, my husband had the bourbon chicken with fries. Since I could not get shrimp added on I ordered the shrimp entree with mac n cheese and collard greens. The food was all really good, everything was flavorful and nice portions. read more

We both sat down and looked at the menu . It didn't take long before I knew exactly what I wanted. When the waitress came I ordered the house salad with ranch to start, then for dinner I got the St. Louis Ribs, and my two sides were Carolina baked beans and mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy. My husband ordered the chicken tenders with seasoned fries and corn casserole. We were sipping on the cocktails we ordered when she arrived in about 17 minutes with our food. It was PIPING hot and so amazing. The ribs were cooked to perfection, the baked beans were so good, tangy and delicious, the mashed potatoes were absolutely perfect! My hubby loved his tenders, the fries he said were so delicious and the seasoning on them were perfect, and the corn casserole was to die for! I like to think of myself as a "Ranch Connoisseur " and the ranch here is pretty top tier!! If your in the casino and don't know where to eat, this is definitely the place to be! Went Sep 24, 2025 made an order to go, As I got home my order was missing the two sides, I only had the meat, no big deal I thought, mistakes happen. So I went back the next day and informed them of this, so the very nice young lady went to get the manager (Jackie). The manager came and asked what had happened, so I explained it to her, her response was repulsive...She asked me "when I go to McDonald's do I check my order". I asked her what McDonald's have to do with them, and that I don't eat at McDonald's. I was amazed hearing this from a manager, I just smiled and told her "It's ok, I'll just not come back. However she insisted on refunding some of the money back on my card. I told her no, it was ok, but she had my card and insisted, so I just waited till she was finished and thanked her and left. I will NEVER eat there again. Being a business owner myself, I can not even imagine myself speaking to a regular customer like that. The correct way would have been, we are so sorry this happen, and I understand that may have made your dinner unpleasant. What would you like us to do to correct out mistake? Engage the customer, make them feel valued, not imply it was their fault. Four girls standing at the podium when we arrived about 745 am, and not one said hello. We were sat in a booth and did have a nice server. The girls at front podium area were laughing loudly our entire visit, however. When our breakfast was delivered, my toast was burnt and I immediately asked for it to be remade because I would like to enjoy it. The fact that it was set down in front of me was insulting. The plates were small and portion sizes were small. Presentation was lacking. Two sausage links to an order and they were not a premium sausage choice by the restaurant. Potatoes - small portion. We stopped for late lunch and was very pleased with food and service. We ordered the fries appetizer and found it to be yummy. It was a treat for us as we normally do not order fries. Had a really good pre-concert meal at this casino restaurant just steps off the Hotel lobby and a minute stroll to the gaming floor. Firekeepers Casino Hotel, owned and operated by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi tribe, sits right off I-94 between Chicago and Detroit. It is officially located in the Cereal City, otherwise known as Battle Creek...home of Kellogg's cereals. Although the ambience of the dining room of Smoke 'n Fire is pure vanilla and lacks imagination, the enthusiastic and hard-working servers and most importantly the quality of the food made up for the lack of atmosphere. We started out with a side salad and shared a plate of their highly touted Nachos. The salad and appetizer were very good but our entrees were over the moon. My wife and both opted for the Maple Plank Roasted Salmon glazed with a lightly delicious Thai Chili Sauce for our entrees. The dishes were served with generous portions of root veggies (carrots and parsnip) and velvety mashed potatoes. This salmon dish was one of the best I've ever had anywhere in the world...it is highly recommended. After an outstanding dessert of their luscious Chocolate Cake, we strolled down to Firekeepers' Event Center. The Fab Four (tribute band playing authentic 1960's Beatle music) was performing. Just like our salmon, the Fab Four, imitating the most influential rock band of all time, blew me away with a fantastic show to a sold out house. Overall, Smoke 'n Fire and Firekeepers' Event Center gave us a most memorable Saturday night. It is my recommendation to the Firekeepers Management team to leverage the culinary strengths of Smoke 'n Fire to invest in improving the atmosphere of the dining room to compliment the overall dining experience. It is the only thing holding you back from a 5-star review. read more

Nice little spot inside Firekeepers Casino. It's a higher end restaurant with a pretty good filet! It comes with broccoli and potatoes. The sides were delicious! They cook steaks a little more on the done end. I ordered medium and it was more on the medium well side. It still was good I just had to use some A1 sauce. We also got the shrimp cocktail appetizer and it was pretty good. Not as much of a horseradish flavor as I usually like but it was still fine! read more
