Picnic tables and working AC highlight this small older building on Hwy 1431 in the main part of Kingsland. Used to be an antique store where I purchased lots of handmade quilts over the years and probably makes a better little restaurant. We'll come back to try something else. For the meat plate, we got the brisket and pork rib with jalapeño corn and pinto beans for sides. The beans are pretty average but the corn was exceptional. The brisket is good, but like some others commented, a bit more fat than I would like and greasy. But we definitely ate it. For the pork rib, the meat didn't exactly fall off the bone, but it was very tender. The pulled pork sandwich was the best part of the meal. They put ample meat on the bun and if you eat it dry without anything else, it's delicious. If you are passing by, I do recommend it. There is better BBQ but if you eat here, you won't be disappointed. As I mentioned, I will surely come back.
