Super disappointed in the quality of the food. Did today being their burger special day, it saddens me that they are serving pink burgers. I understandably know there can be a little. But danggggg not the whole inside...especially when they took 15-20 min for my meal to cook....

I saw a flyer for this place at my job and I never thought about it again until yesterday I was craving a filling lunch. Looked it up and it wasn't that far, I was surprised to find it in the parking lot of gas station and the lot was full of cars. I stepped in and the line and staff were friendly and quick with the order. The place was clean and a decent space if you want to dine-in. I got the two meat plate, brisket and turkey with sides of Mac and rice. To be forreal, I came because I remembered they had dirty rice (think they call it jambalaya rice) and if a barbecue spot has dirty rice I'm gonna come try it out. The rice was my favorite part but the Mac was good and the brisket and turkey was hitting to. I'm more into the sides at bbq spots than the meats but this place was good already. Check it out if your near Little York and Hollister there is not much to eat out that way.

The brisket here took me back in time -- the very first bite instantly reminded me of being 7 years old, sitting at the table with family and enjoying true Texas BBQ. Now at 40, that memory came rushing back, and that says everything about the quality of the food. The brisket was tender, smoky, and full of flavor, exactly how it should be. The mac and cheese was creamy and seasoned just right, and the mashed potatoes with gravy tasted homemade. The loaded baked potato was generous and packed with brisket, cheese, and all the fixings. Portions are big, everything was served hot, and the BBQ sauce tied it all together perfectly. On top of the food, the service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming -- the kind of place you want to come back to again and again. If you're looking for BBQ that feels like a memory you didn't know you missed, Smokeroom BBQ is the spot.

    Brisket nachos for $18.50.

Saw the reviews, thought I'd try it out. I was waiting for friends to meet me here, so I got brisket nachos for $18.50! Way too steep of a price for so little brisket. The most flavorful thing was the jalapeños. The brisket was tender but had zero flavor. This is not Texas bbq. I'd put my own bbq against this stuff any day of the week and twice on Sundays. I tried adding some of their sauce- mistake. It is not made in house. If it is, they need to stop. Nice people, loud country music; overpriced poor quality food.

Ooooo baby! This is the best BBQ I've had since living in Houston! The bbq sauce is given in the side which is very helpful. It's not overly seasoned and it taste just right! The meat was smoked well and wasn't gummy or anything! You can tell it's fall off the bone. I ordered through a 3rd party so I never spoke to anyone, which is a bummer because I'd love to tell them how good the food is. The only thing is that they are quite expensive, I paid about 14 dollars for just a burger! ‍ Definitely would go back on my own and sit in just to see how the service and ambiance is.

Tucked next to a gas station--though fully separate and proudly standing on its own--this Texas BBQ joint is the kind of hidden-in-plain-sight spot locals love to claim. Service is fast and friendly. The brisket is the standout: tender, well-rendered, and packing just enough bark to make you pause between bites. Ribs come seasoned to perfection, holding their own without a drop of sauce--though the house BBQ sauce is worth a taste. The sauce is balanced, not overly sweet, with just enough tang to complement rather than cover. Sides: The green beans are flavorful and cooked just right. The mac and cheese brings comfort food energy with stovetop nostalgia, though it leans heavy on the cheese--delicious at first bite, maybe a bit much by the third.

My first time trying smokeroom, highly recommend! Brisket - 4/5 could be more moist but I don't blame them, I ordered from Uber eats and there was a storm, so the brisket was cold from delivery but regardless it was amazing Chicken - 4.5/5 even when I rebaked, the skin was so flavorful, meat meat was soft Sausage - 4/5 just jalapeño sausage Corn bread- 4627281829/5 OMG THE CORN BREAD WAS SO GOOD I WILL ORDER MORE NEXT TIME. Also had dirty rice and potato salad, both were solid and flavorful. I'm very glad that I found this place, will definitely order again! *pictures are taken when there were cold*

The only thing I wouldn't recommend was this French-style side (it looked like a giant turd ). It was a 0/10 for me. I took one bite and couldn't eat the rest. The peach cobbler was just okay. The tator tot casserole is like a hug from the sweetest granny in the land, and the corn pudding and Mac and cheese are pure fire too. Have to say, not much of a fan of tipping for counter service-but this place DESERVES it. Once you sit down with your fabulous feast-there are the kindest servers bringing you everything you could possibly need-from to-go boxes to drinks to desserts and they are SOOO happy you're in their restaurant-had to pull out some extra cash (I did tip at the cash register) because these dudes deserved more for their genuine hospitality and friendliness. Perfectly juicy, tender, and packed with smoky flavor. But what really puts this place over the top is the tater tot casserole. Great sides can make the meal, and this one absolutely does. It's ridiculously good... like I'd happily eat an entire bowl of just the casserole. We ordered the brisket, pork ribs, beef rib, both sausages, and, of course, a whole lot of tater tot casserole. While you're waiting in line, they hand out samples of the brisket so you can decide whether you want lean or fatty. Fatty all day for me. The beef rib was massive and had an incredible smoky flavor, but low-key, I think the sausages ended up being my favorite meat of the day. They were juicy, flavorful, and didn't get overshadowed by everything else. We got there around 11:00 a.m. on a Saturday and waited about an hour in line. It sounds long, but they make it easy with water and drinks available for purchase while you wait. A 2-year Michellin star BBQ joint was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. My friends and I got there around 10am and were lucky enough to grab a number. The number secures your spot in line but don't worry if you show up and they run out, there's a spot on the porch where the non-number line starts. We ordered moist brisket, garlic sausage, and the beef rib. For sides, we went with mac and cheese and beans. Everything was superb! The brisket melted in your mouth, no knife needed. The sausage had a nice snap to it and get great flavor. The bark on the beef rib was *chef's kiss*. The mac and cheese was creamy while the beans had a nice sweet and tangy flavor. Yep, they open at 11am and yep there was already a line. I was shortly approached by an employee who handed me a paper menu and asked if I would like to purchase a drink while I wait in line. It was fairly hot outside but they had fans along the patio to give relief. The inside of the restaurant is not large but also not small, its first come first serve so get in where you fit in or opt to sit outside. I arrived to the front of the line around 12pm so it took about an hour of waiting in line. Ordering was smooth and it took no time for the food to be ready. Staff were friendly, and service was speedy. I ordered brisket(moist), pulled pork sandwich, mac n cheese, potato salad, beans, apple cobbler, and a baked potato. The potato salad was a pleasant surprise! It is not your traditional potato salad, but If you enjoy anything dill flavored, you'd love it! The brisket was moist and flavorful, melt in your mouth good!!! The other sides were just okay, not bad but nothing stood out. The cobbler was a bit too sweet and it did not seem as though the ingredients were mixed very well. It was like they dumped sugar on top and baked it without mixing it. After doing my research and seeing food bloggers post online about this place, I decided to try it! We went on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm - packed! There were no tables available inside and there were people inside and outside waiting for their orders. That's something to be ready for if you come on a Saturday. Our order didn't actually take that long. Or maybe it took a little while and we didn't mind waiting. Either way, it wasn't that bad! Luckily it's located in a shopping area so there's always parking. My main gripe is that they close at 7pm. I'm sure there's a good reason for that but I've wanted to try it multiple times before but they've been closed! I ended up going with the infamous brisket and fried rice. The brisket was super tender - I was able to pull it apart with my fork. I typically shy away from brisket because usually it's tough. But this was delicious - tender and had a nice smoky flavor. Not overwhelming or too salty. The rice had a great flavor too. There were chunks of meat in that as well and the rice had a nice smoky flavor. Not too salty or greasy. It also came with some accoutrements - pickled onions, fresh pickled cucumbers, jalapeños, bbq sauce and bread. The cucumbers and onions stole the show - very fresh and refreshing. We were surprised at the pickled onions - they were soo good! Overall - worth the hype! I'll definitely be back to try ribs, chicken or pulled pork sandwich. I heard everything is good here!!

The environment is super cool, plenty of seating, a bar, private rooms, a dessert bar. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the workers spoke Spanish to each other the whole time until it was time to check out, so there wasn't much engagement. Which lead to a mix up of my order that we had to fix. What we are all here for, the FOOD: Chicken: Very juicy, tender, basic chicken, a great portion. I was grossed out by the amount of blood under the skin. (I KNOW it's an animal with blood but I've never had bbq with that amount of blood on the meat) but I'm not penalizing them for it. Def 7/10! Brisket: Super tender, melted in the mouth, great taste. 8/10 Green beans: Not greasy, tender (not mushy or undercooked). I think they may have spilled the seasoning into the batch they main because holy moly, a TON of pepper and salt. I'm heavy handed with my seasonings but that amount didn't seem intentional. I'd never thought I'd say this but the flavor would've been great with less seasoning. 5/10 Mac&cheese: Nothing special but definitely better than most bbq spots. I enjoy the texture and light flavor 7/10 Elote: Yummy but where's the beloved cilantro?! 8/10 Cornbread: Great flavor, not dry, and had jalapeno peppers in it! Super yummy 9/10. My only thing too, they had only 2 bbq sauce options, a bourbon coffee and their house bbq. To me, they were not good at all. I was extremely disappointed in that. Smashed Brisket Sandwich, Egg roll, chicken sandwich and fries all good. Love the fact that he is using Beef Tallow. Going full organic would be great. First of many Future visits. It's a good bit of a drive for my home but today well worth the trip. I will be back. Give them a try.

The restaurant is always clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the owner is extremely kind and down to earth. They also have a nice dine-in setup with tables and a lounge area, which makes it comfortable to sit and enjoy your meal. So far, everything we've tried has been delicious--the brisket smash burger , chopped brisket melt, and different bowl variations have all been excellent. Our order has never been wrong, which I really appreciate. Because I'm me lol, I asked, and the owner let me attempt to create something. I tried chopped brisket and cheese on my fries, but something was missing. I think if I paired it with their smash burger sauce and caramelized onions, it would be (I don't even like onions like that, but they were so delicious). We've also tried the BBQ brisket egg rolls and tamales from their frozen section, and those have been just as enjoyable. Overall, it's a great spot with consistently good food and genuinely great service. We'll definitely continue coming back.
