We have been here three times, once when they first opened and they were offering some sort of special in the newspaper. When we ordered it, she had to explain to me how the special works. According to her we had to pay in advance with the newspaper and then come in with the "coupon" to order. I said forget it and left. Then we gave it a second try and not impressed. I ordered cole slaw with my meal and the lady suggested that I try it before ordering because, according to her a lot of people don't like it because of the garlic. So I sampled it and decided not to order it. Third time, got our meal and drove to a side street to eat our lunch. The food was not hot and the sauce was cold. Fantastic!! I was in town for work and wanted something quick but not a fast food chain. I saw this drive thru BBQ joint and figured I'd give it a try. The staff were super friendly and everything on the menu looked good. I went with the loaded pulled pork sandwich (with grilled onions and slaw) with a cornbread muffin and slaw on the side. They even added a homemade brownie bc it was my first time there. The pulled pork sandwich may have been one of the best ones I've ever had. Pork was moist and flavorful and the addition of the slaw and onions (I've never seen grilled onions on a pulled pork sandwich) added great flavor and texture. The roll was soaked and made for a messy lunch but it was totally worth it! The corn bread was slightly on the dry side but the brownie was excellent. Stopped at Smokin' Friday BBQ for lunch after shopping. It's a drive-thru place with a short driveway and little place to park. They have an interesting menu considering it's BBQ with a Buddha bowl, teriyaki plate and something called a Hot Pork Sundae which sounded good and fun. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a Buffalo chicken bowl. The pulled pork was good but nothing special. The Buffalo chicken bowl was good but the rice wasn't very warm and there was cheese and celery so I didn't know if it should be warmed. I took the cheese and celery off the best I could and microwaved it just to warm the rice. It was good, though, and not smoky-which is good for me. Service was top notch. The young woman knew the menu and was so helpful and nice. There is no real ambiance but the place looked neat and the packaging very good. We have been here several times and have always gotten good food but as another reviewer suggested, there's certain food you should stick to. Today I decided to try something different and I ordered the Teriyaki and green bean bowl. I haven't had this bad of meal in a very long time. The "green beans" are canned AND overcooked. The rice (seemed like Minute Rice) was also overcooked and MUSHY. While I would still recommend this place, I do not recommend the Teriyaki bowl. I ate the ckn and that was it for $9. read more

We got the pulled pork bbq and had it been somewhat warm it probably would have tasted a lot better. BBQ sauce was really good here. Not sure if I'd return on my next trip up north. This is a little drive through, with picnic tables and a walk up window if you prefer not to eat in your car. The menu is simple, with a variety of side dishes. I ordered the bbq chicken with green beans and a salad. The serving of chicken was very generous. The sauce was very good, with a little spicy kick. Greens beans were ordinary. The salad was very fresh, a mixed greens with carrots and your choice of dressing. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which he reported was "delicious ". The girls working there were very friendly and efficient. Our meals were prepared quickly and served piping hot. The prices were very reasonable too. Great food and great people! For only being a little corner eatery, this place has some of the best bbq around. Their food is priced to sell and the portions are perfect.
