I've been waning to go to Workman's since they moved to this location. Finally got there when I went to the Community Market in their parking lot. I regret not trying it before!! The place is huge. They have music and have a big dance floor and enough seating for a big crowd. The servers are fantastic and make the atmosphere fun & like you're part of the family. The food was excellent and the serving size huge. We had a pulled pork sandwich and chicken strips. The chicken strips were excellent. So much better than what you normally get. The pulled pork was excellent, too. And, the bun was filled with the pork. I would go back. I'm good going for lunch when it's quiet. Though, the reviews from Kevin K and Michelle K -Thanks! Taco Tuesday tacos are pork or chicken tacos are 2 for $8 and Tri tip or fish are 2 for $10. The fish tacos are very good. Margaritas tonight were a no go. Haven't sent back a drink ever. read more

Talk about hit and miss. Last couple of times I ordered the cheese steak sandwich. $23.00, but at least it was really good, and I felt the best in the area. Lots of hot moist meat and a great beer cheese that melted into the meat. Went in yesterday to experience the same great meal, and it was a disaster. There were only three other couples in the place, but it seemed everyone had to wait half an hour or more for their food. The waitress took her time getting around to us to take our order, but when she finally couldn't ignore us any longer, she sauntered over and we ordered the drinks and food at the same time. 10 minutes or more after taking our order, I had to go up to the bar to request our beer order which she admitted she had forgotten about. Once we got that out of the way, the wait was on. Easily half an hour or more later, the food arrives. My usual great sandwich was about 1/3 the usual amount of meat, and she brought a basket of fries smothered in cheese with some bacon on it, which I did not order. Not only was the sandwich way too small, it was warmish, and the cheese had skimmed over due to sitting out, I assume, on a warming shelf too long. I told her to send back the fries basket and send out the regular fries which I had originally ordered which comes as a side. The fries arrived just as I was finishing eating the sandwich which didn't take long. The meat on the sandwich was not the same, which usually has a nice smokey flavor and tender texture. The was lumpy, and when you bit into the sandwich, would slide out leaving behind the bun with what was not the same cheese as usual. In hindsight, I should have looked at it and sent it back and left. It was that bad. Also, when the food arrived, she brought with her two forks and some square cocktail napkins instead of real napkins, but no knife to cut the sandwich with. She didn't seem to care about my concerns when paying for the meal, but, she didn't seem too concerned about us the entire time we were there. The last couple of times we were there, the waitress was more than great, and the older woman who I think was the cook that day came out to see how we liked our food. I'm pretty sure she wasn't cooking yesterday. It took and hour and a half from walking in to walking out. I'm afraid this experience my be my last time going there. $30.00 total for lunch. I felt ripped off frankly. Was this the worst lunch I've ever had eaten? No. It was the second worst ever. read more

Seems like they can make a good smoked meat, but the sides were absolutely terrible. Cole slaw, zero flavor. Potato salad, looked like it was going to taste a lot like dill but instead something was overpowering and just didn't mesh with the other flavors. The baked beans was probably the best out of the 3 but still had some weird flavor. Until the sides taste good, I wouldn't waste the money. This is my second review and while the new location is nice & the food has improved, I wasn't impressed by the bar managers treatment of a customer. The customer was playing one of the lottery machines and the manager went over to empty out the cash in the machines, interrupting the customers game. When the customer tried to tell him he was playing the game, the manager told him something along the lines of it not effecting the game, and kept back talking the customer. When the customer told him "I don't like your attitude" (the manager WAS kinda snarky), the manager told him "I don't have an attitude, YOUR the one with the attitude". The customer and his wife had ordered food and once this all came down, they cancelled the order and left. We finished our food and left and probably won't go back. read more

I have been going to Workman's for years, and let me just start by saying: BEST BBQ I've had here! Great smokey flavor, moist and delicious! I love the variety they have: sandwiches (OH, Ya!!), nachos, chicken, pork, steak, ribs, tri tip, salads/wraps, soup (OMG, if you like clam chowder, ya GOTTA taste their Smoked Clam Chowder on Fridays; but get there early cause it sells out quick!), soft pretzels with creamy beer cheese for dipping...OH, I forgot the sides: potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, fries, to name a few! The adult beverages are delish, and the bartenders are always friendly and helpful! They've got something scheduled most every day of the week: trivia, line dance lessons, live bands and more! I go there often! I love the place! While new to town, I went there first to go dancing. Every week, they have live band music. The bands they get are pretty good :) They draw a large crowd. The locals are nice and made me feel welcome. The staff is very welcoming as well. From security to wait staff, it's always positive. Even the owners have stopped to chat. I been there for trivia, line dancing, and even karaoke. I took my parents to lunch, and they are looking forward to going back. The staff is always down to Earth, I love that! From a previous review, I thought I would try the chicken breast sandwich. It was really good! There was a blanket of bacon on it and a generous amount of jalapeños. I admit, I had to take some off. The chicken breast was cut up into small pieces, but to me, it was so much easier to eat. Each place has there own way of doing things. To Me, it proved that it wasn't frozen nor breaded. The fries were good too. My favorites are the Jalapeño Mozzalla Sticks and the Pastrami Dip. So delicious! Now I'm hungry! If you are ever headed to Roseburg, Oregon, you should stop in. We went for dinner on a Friday night. It took about 10 minutes for a server to come to our table with menus. I ordered the half rack of ribs, and my Wife ordered the BLT wrap. My side salad came first, and it was really fresh and good so we thought everything would be the same way. When the ribs finally came they looked really good but they were dry, meatless and over cooked. My Wife's BLT wrap was like a salad with bacon bits. We ordered two beers with dinner and then we were abandoned by our server. She never came back to ask how things were or to offer us another drink. The Aviance was great, and bathrooms were clean but that is about it. We may give it one more chance, but it will be a while before we ever go back. read more

1 SLOW guy as cook, bartender, cashier... He didnt was his hands, used his fingers on meat & buns & $$. Took 1 HOUR to get the special & tri tip sandwich. Buns burned. Au jus just salty canned soup, potato salad watery & i edible. Took an HOUR to get food I had already paid & there were 5 good old boys needing constant beers. I was VERY uncomfortable. I've only been in here once. I had heard great things, but my experience was far from great. I ordered a whisky sour, and the bar tender poured me sour...no whisky. Then she hid in the kitchen for 13 minutes. I ended up leaving and going to willies down the road because there was no service, and no alcohol in my glass. This place needs to be shut down. Theyve had 2 encounters with law enforcement in the last month over fights with the bartenders. They let people smoke pot out in the smoking area. I'm turning this business into the liquor control board because it isnt safe. I was there the night before this incident happen as well and there was a bartender named Clarence that was there off duty drinking and he was violent and slammed and bashed the smoking area door. his eyes were dilated and his face was pale white and I was scared of him. This place isnt safe and hopefully wont be in business for long. read more
