They came to my office today and I'm hooked, I had the best tacos I have ever eaten and I've had a lot of traditional tacos.

I absolutely love Smok'N Cantina! I've always loved food trucks, I think they're so fun, and this one is one of the best! Their Southwestern menu is absolutely delicious, and their service can't be beat! Everything I've tried from this truck has been fantastic. They have lots of appetizers that they call "Nibblers," Quesadillas, Tacos, and more! It's all great; they're quick, and everything is always cooked fresh and served hot! Plus, the staff on this truck are amazing! I have personally worked with them several times for an annual non-profit fundraising event, and they have worked harder, faster, and friendlier than you could imagine. If you see this truck out, you should definitely stop for a bite! I highly recommend them for lunch or dinner any time. My first encounter with this food truck was at the Flea off Market. One of us wanted a taco but didn't want to pay 9-10 bucks for two tacos. At that time, I don't think they sold one taco. This last time that they were at the flea, they were selling individual tacos for 4 dollars. Perfect! I'll have that and the daily special. I'll start with the taco that I ordered. I ordered the Tomatillo Pork Taco. It was delicious although I'm not sure what all the ingredients were. It has corn and beans on it. The pork was definitely there. It was supposed to have tomatillo sauce on it but I didn't taste or see any. While it wasn't the best taco I've tried, it wasn't bad by any means. It wasn't what I expected at all and that's ok because it was delicious! On to the main event: The special of the day. Coming in at 8 bucks, the special of the day was Foxhollow Beef Nachos. I normally wouldn't go for nachos but on this day my taste buds definitely wanted them. I think it would've been helpful if the chalkboard would've said what all came on these beef nachos. The only reason I ended up ordering them is because someone in front of me asked what was on them. Foxhollow Beef Nachos - Lettuce. Jalapenos. Tomatoes. Chips. Sour Cream. Cheese. Beef. When receiving my order I have to say that I was originally disappointed by the other stuff to beef ratio. It totally seemed like more of a salad than nachos. Once I started eating, these nachos were exactly what I wanted. I wish there would've been more beef but as my journey through these nachos continued I found that I had an ample amount of beef in almost every bite. My only other suggestion to these nachos is that I wish the tomatoes would've been full cherry or grape tomatoes. Most of the tomatoes in mine were half cherry/grape tomatoes. That's just a small annoyance. I can understand food truck portions but just give me three or four full cherry/grape tomatoes. To my surprise, I devoured the entire thing! I'm not sure if I'd order this special again but between the taco and beef nachos, I was completely satisfied. While I liked this truck, if other taco trucks are available, I'm not sure if this would be my first choice. read more

Thank you Smok'N Cantina for making the journey out to Otter Creek State Park to feed hungry runners at the 2021 Ragnar trail race! I had the chicken quesadilla and it was fantastic. The smoked chicken tasted great and it was a big quesadilla with plenty of meat and cheese. The hot sauce added a nice finishing touch. This food truck seemed to be mix of Mexican American. As they offer tacos and quesadillas but also offer chicken wraps and fries. The selection is great and so is the food. They were quick with the service and even took the time to explain what came on some of the tacos. Today we ordered the wild bill-which is a buffalo chicken wrap. It was honestly the best I've had in a while. But be warned, it is extremely messy. We also ordered the trail mix bowl. For anyone trying to stay healthy and stay away from the fried, carb heavy options, this is a great choice. You can also add meat to give it some additional flavor! read more

Stellar meal first and foremost. I had the chicken quesadilla with a side of chips & salsa. They took my order quickly but I didn't feel rushed and the food was out in a flash especially considering how many orders they had and with only 2 people working. The good: the chicken melted in my mouth and had a slight sweetness too it, like barbecue. The quesadilla doesnt look like much but it was stuff with black beans, corn and rice which really fills you up. Simply good food, very quickly. I'm glad I visited. The lame: high price (my order came to $14+) but you pay for quality, and the menu doesn't really describe what you're getting in the item you order. Very impressed with the quality from this food truck that was at 3rd Turn Brewing in Jefferstown last night. I tried a chicken and a pork taco and loved both. The chicken had a smoky chipotle flavor and the pork had roasted corn and a tasty green sauce. The chips and salsa were good too. Nice homemade taste. This food truck came to my job and I still might be outside as I speak. I had both their Western Chicken Taco $4 and their Tamatillo Pork Taco $4. Both were extremely delicious, the pork was not dry in the taco and the taco fillings were yummy, especially the corn salsa. The chicken in the chicken taco was equally delicious and my favorite park was actually the pico de gallo. If you see this truck, try it out! read more

I noticed these guys on StreetFoodFinder today, and since I was driving past their lunch spot over at Easton, I decided it was worth a look. It looks like Smok'n is a pretty new entry to the food truck scene - most of their website, for example, is under construction, and right now the truck is just in a basic black matte paint job with a few decals and menu boards. The idea of doing some kind of BBQ taco really isn't new to Columbus (Paddy Wagon, for example, pretty much made their bones with this), but Smok'n is doing a fairly solid rendition. The beef brisket taco with a sweet and hot sauce is a nice bite, especially with the black bean and corn salsa, and I really liked the green chili infused hummus. I was hoping to try the sweet chili shrimp taco, but found out that they'd sold out, so I went with the "North Carolina" pulled pork taco instead. That was a little disappointing. Now, the pulled pork wasn't bad...but it was basically in the same sweet BBQ sauce as the brisket. When you tell me something is NC style, I expect it to be sauced with tangy vinegar or a mustard based concoction - part of why I decided to order that was I was hoping for a nice contrast to the brisket's fatty sweetness with some acidity and bite. That doesn't really happen - you basically just get more of the same with a slightly different texture. If they'd simply called it sweet pulled pork? Fine, no problem, and I'd have been aware. But as it was, just a slight edge of a downer to an otherwise tasty lunch. Service was VERY quick (maybe 5 minutes tops after my order?) and the portion size is good - two tacos and a side makes for a nice lunch. Add back a star on the review if you're not quite as much of a BBQ snob as I am, and give them a try if you see them around. read more

Smok'N Cantina came to my job site and we were given a number to call ahead of time to order our meals.when the truck arrived at the site we were able to pick up our order. We received our meals at the time we scheduled it and it was hot. We only have 30min. For lunch so this was very convenient for us to be able to preorder (The food was delicious) the truck was clean and the servers were very nice. Just had my first lunch from Smoke'n Cantina and it's so good. I could probably eat this every day. I got the trail mix bowl with pork. The pork is some of the best I've ever had - just so much flavor! Also, I feel like the portion is good for the price, and it also was easy to have a healthy, well-balanced meal. The food was very food. I tried the tomatillo pork quesadilla, with a side of chips and salsa, The pork was very tender and i liked the fresh corn addition. I do wish the side of sour cream was a little bigger, or had i known it was that small, i would have requested another one. The chips and salsa were good, fresh chips are always a plus. There was a long wait, and it seems like the food would have come out at a faster pace for what we ordered, but it was worth it.
