I have been getting laser for 8 years and have had more than 100 laser sessions (full body treatment) I don't have much hair left so I'll do occasional touch ups The spot I love has amazing prices and staff and is in Glendale I decided to pay a little bit extra for a treatment here (paid for the area not touch up) The service was wonderful, patient, and sweet I was shocked at how i did not feel a thing during my session.. I said it a few times because i was in disbelief The lady reassured me that the technology was really good and that's why it's so painless Still, she went over the area again just to be extra thorough, which I appreciated I was shocked once more because I really didn't feel a thing. It was like a baby breathed on me I was skeptical but accepted that perhaps times have changed and their machine was so advanced that I didn't feel a thing I waited many moons... but alas, my hair did not respond to the treatment at all Disappointed because I even spent more here than I typically would elsewhere solely for the convenience and I had decided to give it a try I thought that worst case I wouldn't experience results as great as other spots, but at least I'd have treated the area But I was wrong.. worst case was nothing at all happened (I have never had this response to laser in all my years) Unfortunately, for me it was a waste of time and money :( read more

Disappointed with the overall experience with the treatments received and membership I purchased. I received no detailed procedure prep or post-op instructions unless I inquired on each visit. The consent form listed a different procedure and side effects, but staff insisted I sign it anyway, saying "it's always been like that." I was also charged over $500 due to staff failing to cancel my membership, despite multiple calls and confirmations. Be aware: treatments are often split into multiple billable areas (e.g., face = face + left chin + right chin), so what seems like one treatment may actually require several purchases. Minimal differences noted unless doing 3+ sessions. I do appreciate the friendliness and attention to detail that Sabrina did for my treatments, she was very personable throughout the whole process. I did not appreciate the lack of financial clarity prior to purchasing the membership and treatments. read more

I caution people about this place due to subpar services and slight gimmicky practices. First, don't be too fooled by positive reviews, as they offer discounted prices for people who agree to write positive reviews across all social media pages. So not everything you're seeing is truly organic support. I came to smoothMD because I really liked their prices and their website was easy to navigate. They also open on Saturdays which is a huge plus. However, upon getting there I was a bit bothered by the fact that the RN couldn't answer basic questions and had to message her boss on Slack in real time. I literally asked whether the service I bought (upper leg laser hair removal) would include the knees... Considering she was literally minutes away from performing the service on me it baffles me that she didn't know what the exact area to be lasered entails. As for the laser hair removal itself, this was my first time getting the laser type that requires gel and continuous placement in the skin (versus quick zapping). I personally did not like the experience, it felt like there was a hot iron rolling around my thighs. It also yields slower results relative to other lasers. Moreover, their room is not appropriate for laser. They had me in a chair like the ones at the dentist office and it was covered in a cheap paper towel material that rips easily and stuck to the gel on my thighs and took forever to peel off. All other laser places I've been to have a doctor's office examination table and medical exam table paper. At the end of the treatment, I was left to crawl out of that ridiculous chair (she didn't even lower it back down) and wipe off all the gel and paper towel pieces stuck to me. Definitely not a cute way to end a self-care treatment. Lastly, their scheduling situation is absurd. They've cancelled my appointments twice due to issues with their machine and were unable to make an appointment for me at a reasonable time. Laser hair removal is a time-sensitive process and not being able to have consistent 6-8 week appointments derails the efficacy of the treatment. By cancelling on me twice and not being able to see for me weeks longer than expected, they set back my progress. All this to say... go to New Look Skin Center instead. read more

Been coming for literally all their services for quite some time! First started with Botox and Xeomin and then did Clear + Brilliant for dark spots, micro needling for my fine lines and wrinkles. Skin tightening is next on the list! I was hesitant about a company providing a promotional $99 hydra facial, but knew I had to check it out. I've received a few hydra facials before and wanted to compare the services. After my experience, I realized it was almost exactly the same. I think Smooth MD might have even done it better. Although the esthetician was younger, she was knowledgeable about the process and made me feel at ease. I've had such a journey with acne all my life. It was a great facial and I plan to be back for more services.
