I've been to Anthony a handful of times for the removal of a tattoo on my arm. So far I've seen a big improvement on the removal process and I think I've only had 3 sessions so far. Anthony applies a numbing cream that reduces the pain by at least 35-40% which is a must for me as my pain tolerance isn't the greatest. I actually plan to reach out to him very soon to Continue the removal process. I'll post before and after photos once the tattoo is fully removed. Smooth Skin Laser clinic is awesome! Their staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and skillful. All the other offices are just trying to sell you their services - the more the merrier! I have been burned and lied to before, but not in Smooth Skin ! Antonio is unbelievably diligent and honest. I've spent enough time in that office for different treatments to see that he never recommends the treatment that won't help you. I've never seen an integrity like his in any other place! Now I go only there, because I trust him and his nurses. The place in unbelievably clean, he has the latest equipment and knows how to use it, his nurses are well trained. Had to find a Dermatologist quick for my 94 year old Grandma "G" someone who would be Persian/Armenian, with a 5 star rating from multiple people and be in Glendale. HAHAHA found him! Dr Anthony is amazing! He and the staff are so very kind and gentle, exactly what my grandma needed. He took his time, talked so very long with her. She loved him! My whole family needs a Dermatologist and I'm so happy we found Dr Anthony. He is now part of our family. My grandma has Kaiser Insurance and I suggested we put out the money and go somewhere else as it takes a good three hour wait at Kaiser and then you see a hack doctor. This review is absolutely necessary. Perhaps this review will help someone find Antonio in that I will explain what he did for my daughter. Antonio and his staff are AMAZING!!! My daughter has teenage acne but it was bad and starting to scar. She did the whole Proactive thing. It did not work. As I saw her scarring growing worse, I was desperate to find something for her. I didn't have much faith in facials from personal experience, but at this point, I had to try. First off, Antonio does not beat around the bush or try to push unnecessary products! He is very straight forward and tells you EXACTLY what you need to do to improve your skin. He knows what he's talking about, believe me. And, he tells you right off the bat, if you don't like the treatment or progress then no problem, you don't have to go back. Simple truth right? And, his prices are INCREDIBLE. My daughter began weekly visits for a facial, extractions, laser treatment, light therapy and microdermabrasion - all in one treatment. The change was almost instant. She left the first day with a red face BUT less raised acne bumps. She said it was a little uncomfortable for her, but she would have tolerated anything to make her face look better. I can honestly say that after the second session, her skin looked 100% better - it was not perfect - but it was so much better. No more raised swollen bumps, no major new breakouts. She was VERY happy. The sessions were weekly for a month and then it went to twice a month. And at the initial consult with Antonio, that was EXACTLY the timeline he said it would take for results. I cannot express how great this place is. The only reason I stopped taking my daughter here was that getting to Glendale became difficult. Now, that she has stopped going, her acne is back and so are the bumps and scarring. I have searched all over thru yelp for a place comparable to Smooth Skin Laser, but have found none that provide these same treatments. Many places want you to do the regular facials that take 6 months to see improvement and as I have SEEN for myself with Antonio, it does NOT have to take six months for improvement. I think that we will be returning to Antonio. This time, I will be posting before and after pictures. And, they are very busy, so you may always get their answering machine but trust me that it goes directly to Antonio and he will return your call. He will provide you with the same courtesy that you provide him if you show up to your scheduled appointments. I can tell you that no one wants to lose money on a failed appointment, and that also takes away from a potential client getting in to see them. Offering a discount to mention an honest negative review by name is far from professional. Acne exams ARE covered by insurance if they are done by licensed medical professionals !! One reason I called the "clinic" was for a TOPICAL acne medication that was covered by insurance. You're just assuming I need antibiotics or stronger meds? Not the case. But thank you for the advice. I have paid out of pocket for laser treatments and did NOT insist on having my insurance cover aesthetic laser treatments. Silly rabbit! How unprofessional to purpose I tried to do something "illegal". Very dramatic and makes for a good yelp review.... Again, he NEVER left a message asking me to confirm. Perhaps he called and left a message with another client?? I only received a message while I was at work saying my appointment was cancelled. Go to a reputable dermatologist. Please take note, change does not happen in one day! However, smooth skin laser clinic definitely changed my skin and my life pretty quickly for the better! I am a definite satisfied customer who will continue this regimen, until I am told it's no longer needed. I never had an issue with breakouts in my adolescent years. I started to develop adult acne which was very depressing. I tried a lot of acne treatment products and went to different skin clinics but nothing worked for me. Ok, I am not one to take the time and write reviews unless the place is either really, really outstanding, or super sucky! LOL! With regard to THIS place, I gotta say, it is a wonderful, competent, efficient place. Antonio is fantastic. Never tries to sell you anything in addition to what you want and is a calm, happy soul to deal with. Once you walk inside the unobtrusive office, you get a good feeling and know you can relax. I believe they do a lot of laser/IPL hair removal here, but my purpose was to erase sun damage on my face and spider veins on my legs. The treatment is fast and after 2 to 5 sessions, there is a tangible difference. I am very happy with the results! Also, the prices here are INCREDIBLE! I was a bit afraid at first because the prices were so much lower than other laser places....but, there is no catch...the service and results are legit! Yay! My experiences at Smooth Skin Laser Clinic have been very positive. When I went there for the first time I was doubtful that laser therapy could help my acne. The staff and nurses were all very knowledgable and professional. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. I noticed a difference in my skin after only one laser treatment, but now a couple months later there has been a major improvement of my acne. It was a miracle! Antonio did laser treatments on my face that targeted the wrinkled and severely irritated skin under my eyes . It's amazing transformation only after the first treatment. This is a TERRIBLE place! Just finished my third treatment for vela smooth laser for upper Arms and full lower body. The full lower body package is advertised as $150 on his web site...he tried to charge me $250 for it and only when I showed him his own web page did he agree to lower the rate to his advertised price...that should have been my clue to leave but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.I have had 3 treatments and today when I went For my third treatment I told him I had some minor broken capillary on my back he said "no problem" he would look at it tomorrow when I came back for my 4th treatment. When I got home tonight I discovered that I now have broken capillaries also on both arms so I call the owner and tell him about this and that he will need to fix the arms as well tomorrow.instead of apologizing he says he is going to charge to fix the damage he has caused! Also BEWARE as he charges an extra $7.00for the privilege of using your visa and he does not take all credit cards as advertised!!! Also 2 of three appointments he was late for! This place was great. Dr. Antonio explains how all the technology works, the facility is super clean, the RN who worked with me (Zara) was great. This was my first time going to a skin care/med spa and it was a really good experience. I liked that while there are a boatload of services offered here, there was no upsell, just a thorough conversation about what my skin needed and how to get the results I hoped for with the technology they have in the clinic. Went here several years ago.... they did IPL yes IPL, then microdermabrasion RIGHT AFTER. I did not know any better and let them do that, which resulted in major hypersensitivity and scarring to my face. I also developed a cyst the size of a quarter on my cheek!!!!! I was told at another laser institute that the guy poses as a doctor... scammy place! Go to a plastic surgeon or cosmetic dermatologist.... can't afford it? I went to smooth skin laser clinic in London (with a really cheap voucher from living social.) because of the price I did not expect that much, but what I got was like a joke. I do not think you can get pounds for pennies, but this is such a rip off that is not even worth going there at all for what they do. It is even a waste of your time apart of your money. They book you for 20 minutes for a large and medium area what again is fair for the price , but they do not even do 5 minutes.They are unfriendly(which I do not mind is their business) to book an appointment is like mission impossible.Not to mention that I had not had any hair reducion at all! Really I am not even bothering to go back. I had some friends waiting to see what I thought to book with them , luckly they did't!!
