Probably the most unsanitary SK I have ever been in. I was completely disappointed with the cleanliness of this location. I am not sure if the employees just didn't care or if they were to high to care! Each blender had about 10-20 fruit flies in it. We pointed them out and both employees looked had a blank stare in their face. Possibly because they were more concerned on when they could take their next hit. I've been going to this Smoothie King location for a while, but today was the final straw of inconsistency. I ordered an Almond Mocha High Protein...waited 10 minutes, and the man serving my order comes up to tell me they have no coffee left. No apology, just asks if I would like something else on the menu. I switch to a peanut power plus with chocolate and after nervous chatter between him and the rest of his staff and some laughing and cutting up...he goes to the register and motions for me to come over...no words. Rings me up at full price as if discrepancy didn't happen...then goes back to finishing my new drink. I go to the car and take a sip. Nothing but peanut butter. Too much ice. No sweetener. No chocolate. Probably the worst smoothie I've ever had or will have. They have lost my business for good. DO NOT waste your money on this horrible establishment....going to the Northpoint location to see if they can get their own menu right...if not..I'll report back! read more

The smoothies are great, service was terrible. Girls were laughing, ignoring customers... One was on her phone (snap chat to be specific) and they had a bad attitude. All three girls didnt seem to know anything about the menu and they giggled and said the computers were down. Over all I'd rather drive to the Hamilton place location then deal with that. Never again. Smoothie King is my favorite. I live closer to the one on Piedmont in Atlanta - it's my regular location. But I was shopping in Alpharetta and was excited to see the location on Winward Pkwy. Sooooooo different than my usual location. It was dirty, the bathroom was nasty and I watched the employee making the smoothies not only lick his finger but also make different smoothies in the same blender- went from chocolate to fruit without washing it out in between. I LOVE(D) SMOOTHIE KING... UNTIL...I went to this location. Now I love it even more. Just to give you an idea of how often I went to this location as well as the location on Houze Rd (who is owned by the same person btw) the handful of awesome employees...I walk in and they all know my "usual"... As I did go there 14-15 times per week. After now frequenting this location for almost 2 years I am SO excited over the acceptable behavior and treatment that I've experienced over the last month or so. I love the fact that the owner Josh hires teens and college students as I am a friend of teens as well and for the most part they are all very respectful. During a couple of my visits, I encountered VERY exceptional treatment by one particular employee named Ryan... He made a smoothie I ordered (I've only had one kind of smoothie there and that's all I order so trust me, I know how it's made) and it was super watery (how it's supposed to be) and just right. They were very busy so, I totally understood that they were in a rush, I get it... But I just mentioned to him, hey can you just tell me how you made this so perfectly, as I was enlightened by the smoothie.. Trying to make light of how good it was...He then copped a great attitude, politely took the smoothie from me (let me remind you there is a store FULL of customers- very good for business) nicely placed it back in the blender, poured it to perfection back in the cup and slid it across the counter to me while smiling and singing the whole time. Other customers were commenting by saying "wow...unreal... Is he that good at making smoothies?" ... And of course, it was still just as good! A perfect smoothie twice in a row! So I just forgot about it bc I do come here so much- everyone is entitled to a good day right?... So I say to said employee, you know what- maybe it's just me but, I'll just take a 18 more.. After a smile and proper use of equipment, he says "I need your receipt".. So I tell him, "you crumpled it up after I paid for my smoothie".... Then he said "oh of course, don't mind me" and he counts 9 dollars and some change out and places it on the counter. Myself as well as the other customers stood there with our jaws dropped. I smiled told him I paid $10.62 (lrg choc lean1 add peanut butter- as always).... He gleefully goes back to the register happy about counting out the difference and throws the remainder on the counter. (There is much more reaction from the line of custs but I will save the owner too much happiness.) I took a pc of paper out of my purse, wrote my name and number on it and asked said employee to give it to Josh for a return call... He said "of course, I will try my hardest".... After a week of going to the Houze Rd location ands still no call from Josh, I happened to come in at a time where it was just Josh the owner there by himself so I brought the situation up to him and asked him if he got a msg to call me- he laughs and says no. I begin to tell him the story.. He gives a couple "wows" and "really's"... Says "Yeah, Ryan is probably our most skilled smoothie maker, and I guess he was still in good form even after his 14 straight hours at the homeless shelter....." I just shake my head.... He literally showed perfect interest in how his employee acted as a representation of HIM, his wonderful business, how he acted in front of other customers or how he treated me- a customer that spends $300 per month between both of his locations. Great experience. I'm an adult, the said employee is an adult and this is a business, there's nothing personal so I continue to go to both locations...I see Josh the owner and he even make eye contact... This past Saturday I go in and Ryan is the one to ring me up- thinking all of this is behind us - Nope, Mr. Smoothie takes my payment and places my change on the counter- yes, again in front of customers. I say out loud "wow I see nothing has changed. You're still as good as usual" In the meantime, I've went to the location in Dunwoody and had alright service however it's a shame that even though the locations are independently owned- they are still all of the same entity- Smoothie King and I hate that I can't give them all the same review I can to Ryan. To sum it up- these 2 locations: Winward Pkwy and Houze Rd. who are coincidentally ran by the same person are very recommendable. I will bring any business to both of them and I will me sure to spread the word about how perfectly this situation (as well as others) were handled.
