On a busy day in Miami, we stopped by Smoothie Spot for a quick bite. I got the Tuna Bowl with brown rice, jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, and corn. It hit the spot! Washed it down with a carbonated seltzer water, and I was ready for the afternoon's adventures. The service was quick (even faster if you know what you want), and there's plenty of space to eat inside if you have time for lounging. Next time, I'm gonna try a smoothie and an empanada. Dropped in for a smoothie, it was filling and delicious! The staff was helpful. While the different options they had all looked good.. I wanted to have ones with specific ingredients.. so they got creative in having me choose the option most similar to what i was looking for and then adjusting the ingredients. There is a wide selection of healthy food options from smoothies to fresh juices to grain bowls and wraps. I only went in for a smoothie but also came out with an empanada. All smoothies come in one size, 24 oz - great portions. The menu is extremely extensive - I came in specifically for a smoothie, but they have both a breakfast and lunch menu that includes items that range from omelets, to build-your-own bowls, to açaí bowls/smoothies and natural juices. Definitely interested in returning for a bowl. The vibe is upbeat and bright, which I really appreciated. Plenty space to dine-in and it's very relaxed. Have been throwing up for hours, feel loss of balance, and the left side of my head feels like someone is pounding and squeezing it. Will never be returning. Normally purpleish in color, this one was as brown as I've ever seen one which prompted me to confirm by asking them if that's what it was. It tasted like they had used spoiled fruit. When I asked if I could exchange it for something else because we didn't like it due to the taste of expired fruit; I was told no. Super closed to the amped gym and the perfect after gym fuel up. Only about 2 minutes away. Never crowded, service is super friendly and fast. The music here is always really good too! I placed an order online and I come to the restaurant and they're closed early. I understand things happen, but if you're not able to take online orders and have to close early, then consider possibly shutting down your online service system during that time. Horrid service the little Spanish girl with the black hair that has the tattoo of a name on her shoulder was giving me attitude from the second I walked in. I ordered a large bowl and my girl ordered a small she gave more food to my girl in the bowl than mine and when I confronted her she gave me attitude I had to ask someone else to finish my order. I used to love this place! Their açaí bowls were my favorite thing ever. They have changed something in the ingredients for the smoothie bowls, that it doesn't taste the same. The açaí bowls are not açaí, it's completely different. We asked if they changed the brand or something and they claim to be using real açaí... idk about that The smoothies are very good though. I think I found my new favorite lunch spot. That's the first thought that came to mind as I enjoyed a delectable steak burrito. The Beacon Center just became home to this gem, Smoothie Spot, and after over 10 years of the same options in the area, I couldn't be more pleased. Smoothie Spot offers smoothies, juices, coffee, and teas as well as breakfast and lunch options. All healthy, of course. I came for lunch and chose The Burrito which seems like the heartiest option (yes, I searched for the most fattening item in a sea of healthy options. Don't tell my wife.) It was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked, medium pink, and the rice/beans/veggies/cheese were all very fresh and full of flavor. The location is clean and welcoming with friendly staff and a chill atmosphere. There were various people behind the counter, all ready to help. They could clearly tell it was my first time visiting a Smoothie Spot and were very friendly and inviting. I hope a sign goes up soon on the building so that passersby can see it. I came today to the smoothie spot where I was very excited to bring the fam. I order my own and an açaí bowl. When I start to eat my açaí I notice there was pieces of glass in my bowl. I asked for the manager she never came to table. She had employee tell me that it part of the new ice they're using. I mentioned .. so your new ice has glass... that doesn't melt. Customer Service: From the moment I began to order, Lisa (if that's even her real name) looked at me as if though I was an alien. Every ingredient I wanted to add to my bowl, was very roughly received as if though I was being a burden because she was nearing the end of her shift. However, I continued to try and be polite, even speaking my broken Spanish for her, despite how she stared at me rudely. I would absolutely recommend an etiquette-consideration course for her to learn how to treat people kindly. She clearly does not understand what it means to work in the service industry. This is coming from someone who has done everything from being a server to being a face character at Magic Kingdom / even scooped garbage off the floor at Disney World. After enduring 'nails on a chalkboard-Lisa (if that's even her real name)' take my order, she then, proceeded to dance reggaetón around the establishment and head to the back with Nico and another young lady to ignore customers and socialize, laughing (clearly mocking customers). This just happened now at 9 Pm. There are more comments I will be speaking directly to the manager about over the phone. I will absolutely not be returning to this restaurant. If you are a conscious, healthy eater, this place is MUST try. I literally can eat this 3 times a week. Amazing smoothies and the bowls are so delicious! I love the fact that each ingredient is seasoned to perfection and together it's a masterpiece. Whenever I'm in the Miami area. I will be here.
