Gym is about 5 mins away from my house and I decided to join. I just found out they are canceling my membership because my bf got in argument with a man over equipment. And I had nothing to do with , matter of fact I was in a different part of the gym minding my business. Man that took his spot was super rude ,instead of saying that he is still using equipment he acted entitled and sat on top of it before letting my bf know he was still using it. He was working out on 2 diff.machines far from each other Obviously someone will take your spot if you're not there and all you got to do is ask. Since it turned out into verbal argument his brother was there too and my bf came up to his brother to apologize and explain the situation of why he was mad. To which his brother cut him off and said " I don't give a fucking fuck , you know what, Fuck you! " Owner Curt calls my bf a day later and tells my bf it's all good as long as there is no further arguments he is ok , and to stay away from each other he just wanted to reach out and hear his part of the story . Today he gets a call with a voicemail saying his and my memberships are canceled. what a joke of a place Anyway since I'm not envolved in argument I will say this Water filter has been out ever since I've joined It's actually against regulations and makes you sick if you drink it. Bathrooms are disgusting ,especially men bathroom my bf kept bringing it up it smells like urine badly and he sent me pics of urine on the floors They just shake it off 0 care for people that actually care I mean look at the replies to previous reviews Someone is leaving a feedback and yall say " are you even a member here" To reply to that review bathrooms are still nasty. Consistently when we show up there are dumbbells, 45lb plates, random deadlift bars, etc all over the place. It's incredibly clear not a single person, staff, or member, cares about the quality of this gym. Plates are never reracked, always left in the bars for you to pick up after someone. It takes 5 minutes just to find a 5lb plate. It's just an all around mess. Not to mention when we signed up we were lied to straight to our faces. We were told there was free garage parking with our membership... lol nope. I've also never been to a gym where there's not a single employee there even after 6:30am. The bathrooms barely work, smell, and are just as unclean as the gym itself. Also they haven't had a working A/C in months! It's middle of the summer and it's consistently 80-85 degrees inside the gym. Do not go or join this gym, it's an absolute scam and the people who run this business should be embarrassed. I promise you these pictures don't do it justice just how cluttered and disorganized this gym is.

I was a member there from 07/2019 - 02/2020. I will detail my experience: At first it was a great environment to be in, but it went downhill FAST. It started with Gaylynn being a gossip and sharing a story about a woman who no longer went to their gym. Knowing the woman today and having heard her side of the story, what Gaylynn said about her was absolutely cruel, slanderous, and potentially reputation-ruining. It kept getting worse after this. I would regularly witness JD have full meltdowns directed at a few members, screaming and yelling at them. According to my records, the first time I saw this behavior was the end of August 2020 with him ending the argument yelling, "you'd be nothing without me". This member has since left, as well, and is at a reputable gym further north doing AMAZING. The yelling only continued and eventually made its way to the group of girls I trained with. (There is also a Yelp review chronicling this exact behavior). My group of girls had a group chat on Facebook that we would regularly talk on about random things from clothes, to what time we'd be at the gym, to, and mostly notably, JD's meltdowns. I'm sure it's not the first time, but the first time I have in my own records, but at the end of December 2019, he screamed at a mother over the phone because he was watching the cameras and the child was out of the play pin. He has known the father for a much longer time and had a very good relationship with him when this happened. I had heard previously that JD has a problem keeping women powerlifters in his gym, but experienced *why* for myself during this time. During the time I was there he offered scant coaching, from my perspective, to the girl group. I'm not sure if this was intentional or if he truly thought a group of very inexperienced powerlifters were coaching each other appropriately and offering good cues. While I was there, I also experienced JD's constant conspiracy theory talk and hateful rhetoric. Although he does not post conspiratorial issues on his social media accounts for FSC, he does post about them on his own social media and frequently talks about them in the gym. I'm glad I (accidentally) didn't sign a 12 month contract with him. When I left, I left a professional note (attached) about why I was leaving and the key. I paid him what was due. I was not disrespectful to him or his wife. I am way better off physically, and mentally since I left this gym. I have added over 200 lbs to my total and am at a gym that does not have these types of issues. Even with what seems like the ideal way to leave a situation, JD still surprises me with his maliciousness. I have been coaching a young girl (130 lbs soaking wet, happy, unassuming, and timid) who has become a friend to me for around 6 months. After her first competition, she, on her own volition, decided to put her trust in this man and join his "open gym" which includes bringing your own programming for $40 a month. She was on a 3 month contract. Spoiler, she only made it to a month and a half before he kicked her out: We were in the process of switching her training from linear to a more conjugate-styled training. I am a new coach, she is a new lifter, so there are bound to be mistakes in set up which we tackle head-on as she sends me videos via text in real time. JD even helped her set up one day, which I was relieved about. A few days later, my athlete texts me saying "he knows you're my coach. He's saying you're trash and good luck with my total" in addition to "he intimidates me" and "I'm pretty sure he hates me". I messaged him a very professional letter (attached) and he blocked me from both Insta accounts. The very next morning, she called me crying saying he kicked her out saying her "set up was dangerous" rather than finding a logical solution. He also stated that she was disrespectful which I've never known this girl to be.

The things you work out with are natural items such as ropes. You are able to strengthen your body without the use of machines like it used to be long Ago. Quit going to the gym that have beauty contest people standing around gaulking at you. Try a simpler time when you use your body to improve your body. Everyone has forgotten that you do not need the thousand dollar gym or weight machines to build muscles. They do have after hours where you can work out at your own schedule without all the people messing with you.

Ever since last October, I've gotten the "barre3 bug", and have proven to myself that I can stick with a workout regimen between 3 to 5 days a week for almost a full year now, and not get sick of it. The instructors are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and diverse, which allows a full range of people to attend any class that is offered and feel as though they are successful upon leaving. It doesn't matter if you're a life long athlete or never been physically active, these classes offer many variations of the same movements to accommodate anyone. I've lost almost 17 pounds since beginning bar classes almost one year ago, and truly appreciate the value these classes have brought into my life. The owner, Jess, is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming, so even if you've never taken any sort of barre class, you won't feel out of place or uncomfortable, no matter what class you decide to take... Well, you may be uncomfortable, but that's just because the workout is so good! They even offer childcare for those who need it and options to stream classes from home, which I take advantage of most of the time. When I've gone into the studio, the instructors are so friendly and nice and act like I'm coming back to see an old friend. For someone who has a tendency to be self conscious OR for the most confident person ever, you can rest assured that when you visit the Ft. Thomas Barre3 studio, you'll have a positive and challenging experience, which allows you to leave the studio feeling better for having come in. I promise!
