They no longer have a masseuse - rather it's a water message bed.

Can I give 6 stars? This gym is amazing! The vibe is…read morenon-intimidating, supportive, and fun! The instructors are skilled and hilarious and somehow make doing planks fun. They also make everyone feel welcome. I've only been for Pilates classes but have been to several of them and loved them all. Pilates classes tend to draw a female crowd which can be intimidating but this studio couldn't be further from that. Everyone is welcoming, no one cares what you wear (Lulu who? Wear your favorite t-shirt), and every skill level is accommodated. They have 4 reformer machines so for classical reformer classes, they have 4 spots. I typically go over lunch and book ~5 days out and usually don't have an issue getting a spot. They use the MindBody app and have their own app as well so booking classes is easy! They use a waitlist and most times I've been on the waitlist, I get added to the class. The instructors mix things up and keep it interesting with fun music! I've been to reformer classes elsewhere with soft, soothing music and it nearly put me to sleep. Not here! Expect 80s jams from Jean, Lizzo from Andrea, and the Doobie Brothers (or Beyonce!) from Ruth. They have a Pilates Circuit class that combines the reformer, jump board, tower, chair, mat, TRX, and more. I haven't done the same workout in a Circuit class once. Circuit classes can have 12 (or maybe even 16) people in a class which is super fun and keeps the energy in class moving. The studio has cubbies for your belongings, a bathroom, towels, and a shower. They have a parking lot with maybe 10 spots and tons of parking spots along the street. I haven't had an issue with parking but they are next door to Psycho Suzi's so on a summer Saturday, give yourself extra time to park. Upstairs they have the "Treehouse" where they hold barre, Pilates, and yoga classes. The back wall of the studio is all windows that face the Mississippi. They also have the "Basement" where they have open gym and weight classes. They even have open gym times in the "Treehouse" with the Pilates equipment! Their prices are wonderful! Your first week is free so definitely try that. I did and 6 months later, am still going to classes. Your first month of unlimited classes is $59 which is INSANE for Pilates. Their memberships get you any class - reformer, yoga, kettlebells, whatever! PLUS unlimited access to open gym times. After the intro month, their prices and membership options vary but are still some of the most affordable options I've seen. They have a 12-class-a-month option for $135 which means each class is $11.25 - for reformer classes! I've seen studios charge $35 for one class. They host free outdoor workouts in the park, bike rides, and "Planks & Dranks" events at local bars. If you're looking for great workouts, a supportive workout community, and affordable classes, try a class at NE Fitness. I suggest the Pilates Circuit Class with Andrea to get you started. See you there!

He failed and was told he could not continue. The tests were done in a punishing way and under threat of failing. He has passed the brick test at three other locations with plenty of time. The instructor did not have any empathy or customer service. Pool does not have any natural light and is colder than normal. There was mildew on all the caulk around the pool. I love that they don't charge you joiners fee and you can buy your membership several different ways. You can pay for a day pass, punchcard (certain amount of times), or by the months increments (1,3,6,12). A day pass I think is only $5. They also have free nights for anyone who lives in Brooklyn center on Saturday evenings. You are able to use both the pool and the fitness room it's from 5pm to 7pm. I originally bought a 10 inch pass. I liked it so much. I'm planning to now getting a year membership. It's a lot less crowded than other gyms . At least in the evenings. I've never been there other times of the day. I haven't had chance to do the group fitness yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm also planning to sign up for some swim lessons this year. I would love to learn this would be for summer.

The staff was super friendly and helpful and I was able to work out a few days this week. The gym itself is ultra-clean, which has always been a priority for me but even more so in the age of covid. From a size perspective, North Loop Fitness is perfect for me: bigger than a typical trainer-only or crossfit gym, but smaller than a big box gym. The equipment is modern and well maintained and they have a strip down the middle of the gym for sleds (!). I wish, wish I could find an exact replica of this gym in Omaha.

They cut out a lot of the crap that you find at some of the bigger gyms in town and replaced it with a "back-to-basics" sort of work-out attitude. Machines, cardio equipment, free weights, and more, are nicely complemented by some effective gym class staples like medicine balls, climbing ropes and jump ropes. The personal training is top notch and though I have yet to take a class, I am told their offerings (boot camps, kettle balls, yoga, etc.) are great. In addition to great equipment, flat screen tvs, clean showers/locker-rooms, tanning, and a knowledgeable and attentive staff, NLF is open 24-hours a day. What more could you ask for? Hmm...... maybe free liposuction and somebody to come drag me off the couch and to the gym every evening?

Los Campeones - Brooklyn Center: My Take on the New-Age Bodybuilding Mecca of Minnesota…read more As someone who has been actively bodybuilding for over a decade in the Twin Cities, I've spent years searching for a gym that truly checks all the boxes--high-quality equipment, ergonomically smart machines, and an intense, no-frills environment rooted in traditional bodybuilding culture. I've held memberships at multiple gyms--including Anytime Fitness, Lifetime, LA Fitness, Minneapolis Bouldering Project, university gyms, and even Planet Fitness (lmao, only for tanning during show prep)--plus other Los Campeones locations. I also travel to different states to check out new gyms just for fun. I currently hold three active memberships to support my various hobbies and training styles, and I can proudly say: Los Campeones Brooklyn Center is easily one of the nicest gyms I've ever trained at. I'm thankful to have it in my own backyard. This location feels like a culmination of everything they've learned from other gyms--built specifically with serious lifters in mind, especially those in the bodybuilding community. The variety of machines and cable setups allows you to train with precision and purpose. If you know what muscles you want to target, this gym gives you every tool to do it right. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and the staff regularly walk the floor to keep everything in top shape. On the rare chance something is down, it's typically fixed by the next day--that kind of responsiveness is rare and appreciated. There's a posing room, more machines, racks, and cables than you could ask for, and enough space and equipment to support any discipline--aesthetics, strength, mobility, or general fitness. They even offer a designated fridge and area for post-workout meals, which is cleaned weekly (currently Fridays). It's small details like this that show the gym is built with intention and care for the people who train there. I've been a member since the soft opening, and it's been amazing to watch the gym grow based on real community feedback. It's clear the staff and owners genuinely care about building something great for everyone who walks in. Only downside? The parking spots are tight, and it can be a bit of a squeeze getting in and out of your car--but honestly, that's a small price to pay for a gym that delivers so much. Pro tip: Evenings can get busy, but if you go early morning or during off hours, you'll have more than enough space and equipment to yourself. More photos to come, but if you're serious about your training and want a space that matches your intensity, Los Campeones Brooklyn Center is the place. TL;DR: A true bodybuilder's gym with high-end equipment, clean facilities, and a community-driven vibe--Los Campeones Brooklyn Center is one of the best gyms in Minnesota.

The staff is friendly, and I especially like the bright, well-done lighting. The location also has a posing room and an MMA room, which is a great bonus. At times it can get a little crowded, and you'll often see influencer-type gym goers, which isn't necessarily bad but something to keep in mind. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a gym in the area.
