What a great toy store! We were all in wide-eyed, open-mouthed awe when we set foot in Snapdoodle Toys. Bright, colorful, vibrant, welcoming, and something for EVERYONE. I imagine no one walks out empty-handed; too many enticements. Our favorite toy of the day: Vespa's! Real Vespa materials on a ride-on toy scooter. Cute, fun, perfect. Staff are very friendly, and available to assist any time it's needed; not at all pushy or in your face. My daughter had her 7th birthday party here and her friends and her had a blast. The birthday party was easy to arrange and schedule with Megan the manager of the store. We picked one of the 4 activities they had as an option for the party (painting of initials/negative space on a canvas - turned out awesome!, other options included slime making, making bath bombs and lip gloss, and tea party/making paper flowers. There is an option to add face painting or balloon art, and we chose face painting! Jordan was great and so patient, painting the faces of all the party goers! This is a review for The Salon at Snapdoodle. (The toy store is incredible and I would also give it a 5/5 star rating.) I have taken my son here twice for a haircut since they opened. He is 3 years old and really puts up a fight to get his haircut. Charity has been wonderful!! She is so kind and patient with my son. She instinctively knows when to let him drive the process and when to quickly get through a section. She shows her years of experience as both a hair stylist and a mom. My son's hair always comes out looking so cute! I am so happy this place opened up. I would highly recommend them! read more

Upon the death of Toys "R" Us I had to find a new place to take my money. Used google maps and "X" marked the spot at this large toy store in Kenmore, Snapdoodle. My first impression of Snapdoodle Toys was it was just going to be another boring educational toy store. Instead, I was treated to a wide variety of educational and unique toys you won't find anywhere else. Most likely you will not find any toys that the Disney store sells, video games, Barbie, wwe, and action figures. You will be delighted to find legos, train sets, science kits, outdoor activities, crafts, and much more. Snapdoodles book section is like a vortex into a child size rabbit hole. Once in the rabbit hole you will find an array of books to grab your attention. I found a vast number of books from my childhood and new ones that I bought for my child. Great customer service. All I have to say is that one of the employees made me a free cup of coffee while shopping. read more

On every visit I've found eager, friendly staff eager to help find the right toy, even if I don't know what I'm looking for. I asked for a gift for a 5 year old boy who I don't know (a daycare birthday party). The staff took me to an area of the store and told me about the most popular toys without forcing me to look at the most expensive toys. I made my selection quickly, and the staff offered to gift wrap the toy for free. While I was checking out, the gal even told me about the parties that are held there at the store (for ages 5 and up), where the kids have a craft hour and then a party time. Sure sounded like fun, and something we may take advantage of. Snapdoodle Toys is worth going out of your way to visit. read more

I was on the hunt for Ravensburger jigsaw puzzles. Most sites were out of stock; some sites had prices two-to-four times the cost of the puzzle (during normal times). Snapdoodle had a puzzle--at regular prices! I had a choice of store pick-up or delivery (for only $5.00!). I chose delivery and it was on my doorstep the next day! Wonderful selection and service. This is a good, old-fashioned neighborhood toy store. Sure, the prices are a bit higher than what you would pay if you ordered from Amazon, but there is no substitute for the magic of a brick-and- mortar experience when it comes to toys. The ability to look at/touch/read about them before buying is all part of the fun. The selection here is pretty far-reaching (the space inside is much larger than it appears from what's visible from Bothell-Everett Highway). In particular, they have a wonderful board game section; the staff is very knowledgeable and can steer kids (and adults!) towards new, unexplored options. read more

The week before Easter, during the COVID quarantine, I called the Kenmore Snapdoodle and asked for help in putting together 2 Easter baskets for my kids. Not only did they travel to another store to procure the items they didn't have, but they boxed them up and HAND DELIVERED them to me the next day! It's been a very long time since I've experienced customer service like this and I will not forget it. We love getting presents and toys from Snapdoodle and now we will not shop anywhere else. I have been shopping at this store for years, but today there were several kids without masks running around, and not toddlers, more like 6-12. I asked, and they told me they require masks for 12 years and up, and I'm not really a fan of that policy so we left. So, if you are looking for a place that will allow your kid to run around without a mask, here it is. If not, there are other locally owned toy stores in the area. Magic Mouse (amazing), Curious Kids Stuff, and a few other smaller stores. I don't know about the other Snapdoodle locations, I'm hoping the Seattle location is a bit stricter. 3 stars because at least it's not Amazon, and it's a nice store. read more

Needed a gift on the fly because who the heck says gift cards aren't a great idea. Anyway, we found this place thanks to yelp, (Yelp saves my bacon yet again!) and I couldn't be happier. They have an excellent selection of toys (now I don't have any kids so take my expertise for what its worth!) and the service was stellar. The salesperson helped me pick out a toy for a 2 year old and she listened to my rambling with an obscene amount of patience. When i thought it couldn't get better she offered me caffeine. OMG 5 stars just for that. Heck at that point I should have asked her to marry me and moved in to live here! Oh and they also wrap up the gifts for you, so now it looks like I spend a long time picking out a thoughtful gift. Yes!!! And here is the best part, the little kid loved his gift. I mean honestly that's all that mattered and I couldn't have done that with a gift card , and I cannot thank snapdoodle toys and their awesome staff enough. I used to love this store. Every time I received warm welcome and helpful direction and tips. But not today. Today one of the staff made me feel so not welcomed there... and so helpless... Today I went there with my 16 month old daughter to get a birthday gift for a friend's daughter. I've never seen the two staff. No greetings or even eye contact which is fine because I'm not here to receive greetings. After searching over the store for a while without anyone asking me what I was looking for, I stopped at the LEGO isle. While I was trying to decide which one to get, my 16 month old started picking up lower shelved boxes and putting them on the floor one by one. A silver short haired female staff said to me "make sure she doesn't step on them, she'll break the legos". I immediately started picking up the boxes and told my daughter to "cleanup". But as I was picking up the boxes my daughter would move on to the next one. The same woman talked to me again "can you let her play over there, not with the legos?" Now I felt helpless and confused. She wanted my 16 month old to stay in a certain area in the store while I have to pick something from another area of the store?! At that point, I just felt so unwelcome and left the store without buying anything. As much as I want to help local business, even though they price 20% more than Amazon, I felt they could have handled this situation differently. This is after all a toy store. read more

Terrific selection. Amazing, friendly service. Free gift wrapping equals an amazing experience you don't get anywhere else. Certainly you won't experience, the long, dreary lines of the largest toy chain--an experience I despise. Or the nearly illiterate, creepy clerks I don't want my kids interacting with at some of those big-box stores. Things may be the same price or a small percentage more and I say WHO CARES! I drove by this place for 3 years and finally decided to stop by to get a little girl birthday present. Wow. what a surprise this place is. So many educational toys, all arranged with ample aisles. WARNING: its so easy to loose track of time in this place. So if you are short of time FOUCUS!! But I do recommend to come back a day that you can browse around to see all the great stuff the have. Keep in mind that this is not the typical main stream toy store. These are great quality tested toys, well made and most of them with a mix of fun/education. This is the only place I buy gifts for little kids. I love their toy standards - nothing cheap or potentially full of lead. Also, there are so many unique toys! I especially love the science kit area and the building kits/thinking toys area. Heck, I want half the stuff in here! It's got a great selection of stuffed animals, puppets, art kits, board games, outdoor toys, and toy vehicles as well. The only kid I had trouble finding a great toy for was a super girly two year old. Their dolls and book selections are a little lacking. However, if you are shopping for one of those kids that likes to get his/her hands a little dirty, you can definitely find something extra special and tailored just for them! I love the Rewards program they have - every $100 you spend, you get 10% off the next purchase. No card to carry, nothing to keep track of. I swear it's like every other time I shop I have a discount! Things can be a little pricey, and you could probably find some of this stuff on-line for cheaper, but going into this store is like a dream. There are toys galore, lots of things to touch, and it looks like they have classes and fun activities on certain days. This would have been the place I would be begging my mom to take me to every other day as a kid. I don't have kids, but I highly recommend this is the place to shop for them when you want to find something fun and special. Love this store! Great selection of Playmobil toys and pretty much anything else you can think of. There's big, clean bathrooms with changing tables, always a plus. There is seemingly something for every age 0-12 at least! They have a back room which seems to house craft (?) classes. Employees were helpful and knowledgeable but not overbearing. Wow! Imagine walking into a toy store with your two year old (scary because you know there will be tantrums), and seeing a vast array of unique and wonderfully displayed toys. A salesperson comes up and you immediately get a great feeling from their demeanor. They ask you how you are, do you need help finding anything in particular, the usual. Then, "Would you like some coffee or tea while you shop?" What??? Yes of course I would! So then you're finding all of these amazing toys that you can't find at Toys R Us or Target, and you actually get to shop in peace because your wild two year old is busy happily playing with trains at one of the toy tables (for that purpose) set around the store. You feel very comfortable because the ladies working there are available but not pushy and very nice to interact with. You can tell they enjoy their job and care about the store and you as a customer. You find the gift you were looking for and a few other cute things and one of the kind ladies asks you "Would you like any of these complimentary wrapped?" Yes! "Christmas or a birthday?" "Boy or girl?" And while one of them rings you up, the other presents a beautifully wrapped gift you can bring as is to the birthday recipient! Finally out the door with no tantrums and minimal whining. I can't recommend this store enough! We will definitely be back. I don't know for sure that this store is independently owned but it feels like it. If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping in. I have never enjoyed myself in a toy store more. read more

I concur that the selection of toys is great, for all ages. It's a fun store. But... the prices are high for what you get. They have bins and bins of small unpackaged toys... they feel like they should be $1-2 each, but they are generally about $4. Everything seemed pricey to me. I certainly preferred being in the store compared to a Toys R Us, but just don't feel like the value is there. If cost is no option then by all means this is a great toy store. read more

I love this shop! Local "mom & pop" feel with prices comparable to chain stores. They have lots of different and unique toys not found in a toys r us and demos/displays to try out. They also have small play areas for the kids and coffee/tea which I assume are free as well? (you have to ask, but I didn't lol) And my favorite part is the free gift wrap at the end! Not shitty gift wrapping either...nicely done with ribbon attached! I really like this place because although it is a little crammed it is small enough to feel homey and I don't have to worry about loosing my son when he runs off all excited to look around lol read more
