Today I went to Snappers. Due to covid, you can't go inside so the only way to place/receive your order is to go through the drive thru. The drive thru was kinda short today but it is usually packed so be prepared to wait. I ordered the large jumbo shrimp and fries combo. It was $22. The shrimp was really good. I requested lemon pepper seasoning on top, they didn't give a lot of seasoning but it was still good. The food is usually good so I would recommend coming here if you have time to wait in the long drive thru line. read more

First time at that Snappers. The price on the billboard were not the price when you go and pay. When asked why they haven't changed it - it was simply a brush off. To my knowledge people are purchasing or ordering based on the price they see not guessing what the price could be after you ring up. At no time did the person at the register tell you the price changed. The manager was also not helpful even after I stated that they should go out and put a note for customers that the prices have changed. The service was poor and Customer Service was a 0. Basically they didn't care and that could be based on the neighborhood's clientele. Which should not be the case. People are spending money and should be provide with the optimal service and correct pricing regardless. read more

The food here was actually so bad. This is the worst fish and chicken spot ever. Chicken was tough as hell and they served me nasty limp dick ass fries that tasted like they've been sitting in a hot car for a week. I would only go here for fried oreos, everything else is Booty AND Ass. What makes this place worse is that the food is genuinely expensive, they had me paying $16 for some mid. Update: they have done a 180 and their fries have improved exponentially! I'm so proud! I also love their honey lemon pepper seasoning! I hope they never change that! My favorite is the conch and wings with honey lemon pepper over everything! Trust me it's awesome. Their only flaw now is they never answer their phone and the voicemail box is full and u can never leave a message. SO FRESH! My wife and I went here and just walking through the door we were greeted. I ordered the snapper and jumbo shrimp, shrimp had the honey lemon pepper on it and my wife ordered the honey lemon pepper fried conch. There wasn't a line at all and the food didn't take long especially for it being made fresh to order. The shrimp had a good crunch texture to it and the conch was so good it was gone before we got home. I just ordered a regular chicken wings and fries and lemon pepper seasoning on everything. That is literally the best chicken wings I have ever had. Idk what it was exactly but it was just hot and juicy. The fries were great. That lemon pepper just makes everything ten times better. The next two times I went I got chicken wings with fried shrimp and fries. That shrimp OMG, with the cocktail sauce. So damn good. I could eat this every week if I didn't like trying new places. To be honest this is kind of a random place that I had not seen before. Yo gotta go outside of your way a little on you way in or out of the keys, but I have to say, it was well worth it. There are both an outside and an inside area to the restaurant. I sat on the outside and it was incredibly relaxing to enjoy a meal right next to the water under an umbrella with the sea breeze. They have a great little pier on the side that is the best for pictures and a bunch of little decorations around the area to take pictures of. The service was really good too, not abrasive at all unlike other touristic places down by the lower keys, and they were attentive to what was missing at the table. I went during the quietest time of day, right at opening, and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Amazing to take a breath. The food was exceptional. The alligator bites are my official recommendation.I had them as appetizer and they were really good with the blue cheese dip. Then, as an entree, I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and it was really juicy and tasty. They served it with pickled onions which gives it a slight sharpness and changes the flavor of you usual chicken sandwich. I have to say, though, in terms of portions, it was my choice to get something smaller, because looking at other tables, many items are much bigger that the sandwich, so please ask your server about portions before getting anything that might fill an entire town by accident. Another good choice was the dessert. I had the Key Lime Pie which I guess it's characteristic of the Keys and with how hot it was, it calmed my palate and was refreshing. Full of flavor and you can always tell when it's fresh! :) In each meal they have complimentary slices of bread! The restaurant all together is nice. I have eaten at Snappers here in the SW and NW. I have enjoyed my meals since new management has taken over a few years ago. This pass weekend I ordered a 20 piece Buffalo wing, when I got home the wings where very small and mutilated ( miss cut grade) and over cooked and dry. I stood in drive thru line for almost a half a hour and was not to go back in line to complain. I had there family style wings which are much better they are whole and good size. This place has really good food. However, there were several things that turned me off. No one told me when I placed my order they were out of coleslaw, and they just gave me white bread. Also, the level of cleanliness is very low. the only salt and pepper shaker in the dining area was thick with oily filth. When visiting the restroom, the women's restroom was out of order. In the men's restroom, there were no paper towels and again the room was sticky with oily filth. so I have wet hands from washing and no paper towels to dry, then i turn to find that the door handle sticky filthy. VERY disappointed in the size portions. Granted I knew I'd be getting 7 jumbo shrimp but not a handful of fries. I normally eat Hook's when in Fort Lauderdale. They're pretty similar but now I clearly see the difference. Hook's give larger portions and their food is deliciously seasoned. Snappers offered lemon pepper seasoning on the shrimp but I declined as I don't eat lemon pepper yet the fries couldn't be eaten because they were not seasoned. They had flat screen t.v.'s so my mother and I watched a World Cup game on one t.v. and divorce court on the other while having a snack on our excursion to Family Dollar. There are are several tables and the place was pretty clean. We were there about 30 mins to an hour after they had opened on a Thursday. I'm not sure if this place is under new management now, but I didn't experience any of the issues the other Yelpers mentioned below. After over a year of looking for good soul food in Miami, I came across this unassuming place last night, and my fiancé and I were immediately transported back to memories of the fried fish dinners we thrived on when we lived in Maryland and DC. We got a small catfish nuggets dinner, a catfish and chicken wings dinner, a large order of macaroni and cheese, 2 large lemonades, and a piece of strawberry cake for $32. True, this is more than we would've spent at the corner carry-outs in Maryland and DC, but for Miami, this is a STEAL. Moreover, the portions were huge! For 6.99, I got a regular-sized takeout container full of amazingly buttery and tender catfish nuggets and lots of fries because we didn't want the coleslaw. The container was FULL. And that was a small order. That was the real steal. His container was also full, and we both have leftovers for lunch today. Both of us loved absolutely everything we ordered. We didn't have high hopes for the cake because it looked like it came from a mix, but it definitely was homemade. The frosting may have been canned, but we demolished the whole thing in less than 5 minutes. DELICIOUS. We both agreed that this was the best catfish we've ever had, and we come from very Southern family lines. Being from Maryland myself, I am definitely a crab snob, so I don't know if their crab salad will meet my expectations, but the food was so good that I might give it a try. They also gave us a crap ton of hot sauce, ketchup, lemon juice, and tartar sauce. There were at least 50 packets in our bag. This is a small thing, but it makes a huge difference for us because we are sauce lovers. The only real con was the wait time in the drive-through, but that was because they obviously fried everything when you got to the window. Drove 25 mins and got there before 9 pm and guess what THEY'RE closed almost 2 hours before they're scheduled closing time.
