I placed the order by phone, and it was ready right when I arrived for pickup. I loved that the food came in a nicely sealed, sturdy takeout bag with the receipt attached. Once we got home, the seafood boil smelled amazing. The crab was a great size, and the shrimp were tender and delicious. In town on business and a co-worker was craving crab, so we came in for dinner. I don't do the crab much so I had the fried catfish with fries and sweet tea. First, how do you mess up tea? Way too sweet, couldn't taste the tea itself. The catfish was decent, although I could taste a bit of old oil in it. The coworker said the crab boil was good, I'll take her work for it. The service was kind of spotty, you could tell the server was assigned too many tables, he was all over the place or gone for long periods of time. The ambiance is kind of dated and tired but also very loud. Between the overbearing music and the roar of the crowd trying to talk over the music is wasn't very comfortable to have a meal here. I am a huge music person and the playlist is just on point. Our waitress was helpful and very friendly. It was our first time here so we needed help with the menu. We settled on 1/2 lb snow crab 1/2 lb dungenous crab, 1 lb peel and eat shrimp. It also comes with potatoes and corn (the corn was so delicious, I want to order extra next time!). The waitress brought us samples of the sauces to try and im so glad she did. We were going to go with the boom which is a mix of all three sauces, but it was too salty for our liking. We ended up just going with the cajun medium and it was perfect! They give you bibs and gloves but we just wore the bibs to save our clothes. The food was soooo good the best part was the snow crab is is so sweet and buttery. The dungenous crab is not as tasty but there is more crab meat. The first time I came here was good but this second time, not so much. My waiter took my order. I decided to try their Thursday deals. When I get my drinks, one had less drink than the other cup. On the lemon drop shot, there was a little spec on the rim. I decided to just wipe it off until I realized both these cups were filthy. I got my "All By Myself" special but my rice didn't make it until after I was done eating. I waited half an hour for my rice .... I might as well not have had it but never mind. Took it home. Not the worst. I decided not to make a big deal. I just paid for what I did consume, the waiter did apologize & removed the drinks off my tab. So, Maritza and myself went Saturday evening. They mistakenly gave us a happy hour menu, but decided to honor it, so we got 2 free beers. Conch fritters were on spot. The oysters were good. The boil we ordered was good, and the service was good. My big issue is, for silverware we had 2 plastic forks, no knives, no oyster forks. And Styrofoam plates. I'm not an extremist for the environment, but Styrofoam? I just watched a video showing a prisoner trying to work with plastic utensils. And felt a bit of compassion. Service ok 10-15% tip is generous. My better half wanted white wine but he didn't know what they had to offer. The drinks took about 6minute. Kept telling us our appetizer where coming out but it took over 15-20 minutes for the fried apps the oyster came out timely. Food kind disappointing we had raw and steamed oysters they where not cut free of the shell and the steam one must have shrivels up cause they where smaller. The raw ones did taste fresh. Calamari was good not over breaded. Crab cakes where very disappointing thick hard crust, no crab chunk tasted like something from a chain restaurant bland and boring. I ordered takeout on Saturday night. The restaurant was packed and I had to wait an extra 10 minutes for my order. I ordered 1/2 lb of snow crab legs and 1/2 lb of headless shrimp. The crab legs only had a little piece of meat, like practically empty shells. I have never experienced this. The shrimp were overcooked. I also didn't receive corn on the cob. I am very dissatisfied with this location and I will not return. I usually dine in at the Crafty Crab across from The Falls, which always has great food and service. read more

Do not do it. The food was over cooked. When I called back the Restaurant they really didn't care and a bunch of youngsters who are very un professional. I asked them to add some bibs and table cover in the order and they said we don't do that. So If I eat there they will use it for the table but when you order they dont add it? Very weird. Also you can tell the pound of shrimp is not a pound unless they add the sauce to it. I think they weight it after they add the sauce. Food is amazing! Prices are great for the portions you get. Keep in mind that crab is expensive so you will not leave there without spending at least $30 per person. Only gripe is most of the times I go, I will never see waitresses again after they bring out my food. No refills and have to walk over to bar to ask to pay. Important tip: bring your own gloves. The ones they give are like huge grocery bags. I bring my own and my own crab utensils as all they give you is a cracker and plastic fork. read more

When my husband found out this place was open we were so excited. There aren't to many seafood restaurants in our area of Homestead. On our 2nd visit my husband found a very fine black hair in his crab. How disgusting ! When we asked one of the staff members if hair nets are worn in the kitchen by those preparing the food, it was advised they only wear hats!? Decided to stop in for a late lunch. The place was empty and we were seated immediately. The dining room was clean and they had a full bar. You will receive 1 styrofoam plate and 1 plastic fork per person when you arrive. The plate and fork are dollar tree quality. It's important to note because the fork is the ONLY utensil you will receive. We ordered mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce for the appetizer. It was very generic tasting. I ordered the catfish with cole slaw and sweet potato fries. My friend ordered the lobster boil. The catfish was okay. The cole slaw came in a to go container. It was watery and generic tasting as well. The sweet potato fries were the best part of my meal. The lobster boil left a lot to be desired. The lobster tail was okay. The only other thing in the bag was a potato. That was it. You get a lobster tail, a dry potato and the accompanying sauce on the side in a to go container. Digging the meat out of the lobster tail was difficult given the lack of utensils. We asked for a knife, the waiter seemed puzzled at the request but proceeded to bring a plastic, dollar tree quality knife. I suppose most people douse the "boil" in sauce so there is no salt or pepper at the tables. We asked for sour cream for the potato and they didn't have any. They also don't provide butter. I do not recommend this restaurant. I'm not sure if all crab boil places are the same but I got the impression that they cut a lot of corners to keep their costs down. While our waiter was polite and served us quickly and efficiently, he didn't provide much information when we asked for recommendations. read more

I don't even know where to begin with this "experience." We walked into a restaurant that sounded more like a club at 6:00 on a Friday. The music and bass were so loud I couldn't even hold a conversation with my husband. On top of that, the music playing was filled with cuss words, including Cardi B talking about her pu**y. There were kids eating there at the time and I was shocked. I thought this was a family atmosphere, not an 18-and-over club on South Beach. Next, we were served with styrofoam plates and cheap plastic forks. I would expect this from maybe a fast-food chain, but not from a place that is charging me $27 pp for an entry. The crab and shrimp were chewy and just okay. When I complained to the "owner" he pretty much started arguing with me. The problem was he didn't see a problem. He said this was a franchise and he could basically run it as he saw fit. He offered me 10 percent off my meal and I pretty much laughed. If you have kids do not go here unless you want them to hear profanity blasting in their ears and you want to try to cut your crab open with cheap plastic forks. Terrible experience.
