The restaurant itself was pretty standard in terms of seating, similar to a subway. We ordered at the front and mentioned how the gluten free up charge was a bit high, at almost $4 extra for gf bread. (Usually up-charge is closer to $2) We were told this was because they make nearly no money on it by the cashier- understand it takes more resources- but this comment confused us. I got a gf BLT with cheese and onions added, and was really pleased with it. I was torn between which sandwich to get and the staff was kind enough to help me make a decision. We tried the mother clucker and the French dip and both were delicious! The mother clucker was unexpectedly flavorful as it has honey and seasoning which made this sandwich so so good! We also tried the French dip and it was also very good! It came with au jus and dipping the sandwich into the au ju was amazing! I can't wait to come back and try different sandwiches again! I've tried to get a sandwich there two days in a row. I know I am gluten free, but if u promote it on your menu, I wouldn't think it would be an issue. When I ordered with the girl at the front (who was very nice) the guy doing side work or making the sandwiches seemed PISSED I asked about gluten free and how he had to go find And then they didn't have turkey prepped. So I left. Came back today bc my husband loves their stuff and I wanted to give them another go. Walked in at 8. They close at 9. As someone in the service industry an hour isn't too bad. Simply, cause they are pretty good. Their italian sub has actually been one of the subs I have had at a shop thay was actually as hot as I would want it. And that cheese was super melty and delicious. The price is a wee steep, however, but not too crazy. The service was pretty blunt outside the lovely cashier girl. Slam the sandwich on the table, and done. They also had the music playing too loud for a near-empty dining area, which made it echo and distracting from out own conversations. Snarfs is a Colorado tradition that you just have to get every now and then. This new location in Arvada is really convenient to a lot of activities in Arvada and right off of I76 and I70. The location is bright, comfortable and very open. Snarfs always makes a great sandwich so you can't go wrong. I had the French dip and really enjoyed it with Zapps bbq chips. I requested toppings on my sandwich and they were left off but the sandwich really didn't need toppings. My daughter enjoyed a Cobb salad with creamy Parmesan dressing and loved it. Finally able to give Snarf's a try since I moved here! Thanks Matt and Yelp team! What a nice location with plenty of parking. I have seen this sandwich shop all over Denver, but never had the chance to stop by and now....I have. The shop was nice and open, very spacious and welcoming. I had been on the vegetarian side of things these days and was a bit hesitant ordering a veggie sandwich. Fortunately, they have a portabello sandwich with great typical fix'ns for me and I added extra mushrooms since they didn't have anymore sprouts. The staff was very welcoming and making sure I have everything I wanted or need on my sandwich and snacks. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to give every little department a try! I also ordered the Brisket sandwich for my boyfriend - 16". That was a huge sandwich, I only had the 12" which was more than enough for me. I was offered a snickerdoodle fresh cookie, which was delicious and soft. Loved it. I didn't eat there as traffic was getting heavy. Unfortunately, my sandwich was quite "wet" with all the fixings, BUT it was still yummy! It hit the spot. My boyfriend devoured his 16", so there's your answer to that lol. I walked into the new location and I was very impressed at how clean it was. It was quiet in there, so if you wanted to sit down and have a conversation with somebody, there was not music playing in the background, I was greeted immediately when I walked in, which I really like. I proceeded to check out the menu. They had a very large selection of a lot to eat..... so I asked the server what was his favorite to recommend to me it turned out to be the Italian, lots of meat, peppers, pickles, lettuce, and of course the bread. The only thing that threw me was the bread was a little too hard to know if it was old or if, it was toasted too long. Other than that it had a great flavor ! I have already recommended this establishment to several family and friends. Totally worthy wait as their sandwiches are pretty great. The patient and friendly cashier recommended the 1st sandwich on the menu- the Italian sandwich with all meat. Fun crunchy Zapp's chips are also great! 7 inch sandwich is pretty good amount of food (got "everything" as toppings) and you could easily make 2 meals with a side. Self-service aka unlimited refill fountain drink includes soda and unsweetened tea (also raspberry flavor). We were in last night for their training night. We've done a couple of these in the past, but this one definitely stood out as far as staff friendliness and an efficiency. I tried the eggplant Parmesan sub for the first time and it was so good my normal favorite is the turkey Swiss, which honestly I still like better but it would definitely do the eggplant again, Mason was thrilled that they had the tomato basil and Doritos. We were looking around for another place to get sandwiches and realized this place had just opened not that long ago. Snarfs has an app so I downloaded it and placed an order. By signing up we were rewarded with $5 off any order of $10 so that was nice. They emailed us how to redeem it when I was placing the order. From prior reviews this place seemed to be great. It was clean, attractive, with many photos and the app was easy to use. I ordered the pastrami and Swiss sandwich on white bread and also my spouse ordered the French dip on white. This was a pickup order. When I showed up I liked the inside and there were many patrons dining there but it was not crowded at all. Plus our food was ready for pickup in a timely way. The people inside were friendly so appreciated that! I only took one photo of my sandwich and it was pretty decent. Both sandwiches were decent enough and I noticed they had a nice selection of salads too. All in all a decent place to go especially if you're tired of Subway and want to try something else. BUT...the feedback from everyone no matter which 3" sandwich they chose was that the bread was dry and hard in spots. I'm a bit of a food critic. I've been a professional cook and restaurant owner/manager for 30 years and I'm picky about what I buy. So many times I order something for take out and get home to be disappointed. I have my favorite sandwich shops but Snarfs just popped up 2 minutes from my house on 52nd and Wadsworth and here's what I think. It's a new establishment in a busy plaza with plenty of competition. My wife and I walked in and the store was clean and interesting to look at. A young woman and young man were behind the counter and they greeted us and answered our questions. They were actually more friendly than most people we run into and not dismissive at all. I ordered a 5 inch Spicy Italian. I got home and it was juicy and fragrant. The bun was sturdy and held the ingredients perfectly and yet it was easy to bite into with no filling shifting out of it. The meat, although the staff couldn't tell me the supplier, was tasty and fresh. I had their Italian dressing on it and there was an adequate amount of Hot Giardiniera. I usually like vinegar and oil but this place uses Canola oil, which I will reject at all times.. They should switch to good, old fashioned olive oil the healthy option. Now I wonder what oil was used in the Italian dressing I had. I will return to try more of their menu, maybe I'll meet more of their friendly staff. read more
