We stumbled upon Lloyd's while walking in Old Town Arvada, and I was very much in the mood for a good sandwich. We popped in and checked out the menu. It took about 5 minutes for us to be greeted by anyone working; there were two employees working behind the counter, both were busy making sandwiches. Eventually one let us know it was going to be a few more minutes before they could take our order, to which I didn't mind - I recognize it takes time to make sandwiches. We waited for a bit (probably ~10 minutes), and then decided to place an order with them online and continue walking around while we waited. It took about 15 minutes for our order to be ready, so maybe this is the best way to go about ordering so you're not just standing around. To clarify, I didn't mind waiting but it also made sense to place the order and then walk around while waiting. I ordered the North of I70 Italian sandwich, and indicated that I wanted mayo, mustard and oil + vinegar. My wife ordered the sweet baby turkey, and also asked for mayo and salt + pepper. Neither of our sandwiches had any condiments on them (pic included). Each sandwich cost $20, and while I realize that the price of good deli meat has gone up, it was definitely a bummer to not have exactly what we ordered on a sandwich that costs so much - $40+ for 2 standard size sandwiches. The other thing to note is that the mushrooms are not fresh - also included a pic of the mushrooms which I assume come from a can/jar. Had I known the mushrooms were not fresh, I would not have ordered them. Solid sandwich shop in Olde Town! I didn't have any issues with the wait like some of the reviews I've seen mentioned, but they have darts and foosball to kill the time if it's taking awhile. It is definitely a little pricey- $25/person for a sandwich, chips and a beer/seltzer- but the sandwiches are good and are big enough that it left me stuffed so it's a decent value. read more

My Italian sandwich was amazing. I went with just a half and it was perfect. All ingredients fresh and the sandwich was made with perfection. The bread was stellar too. I'm so glad I got to try this hidden gem in the old town area! We got in 20 mins after opening and looked like we were 1 of the 1st customers. Shortly after a lot more people trickled in. It's a small deli bar that has a very hospitable feel. The ONLY 1 girl who did everything; (bless her heart) took orders and made all the sandwiches on her own was amazing. I watched her make about 8 sandwiches in 30 mins without breaking under pressure. She deserves a raise! All heroes don't wear capes! We ordered 2 full sandwiches which are very generous portions! It was about $30 for both which is pretty reasonable. They are so big and filled with deli meats! You basically choose your style of sandwich or can build your own. Sounds weird but even after choosing your base sandwich, you still have to choose your veggies and sauces which I thought was odd but then was sort of glad since my sandwich came out so bomb! We ordered the Gus and Colorado Club they were so delicious and 2 people can easily share a sandwich. Was searching for a quick and yummy sandwich place today and stopped here because of its great location. We both ordered a turkey sandwich with bacon and ranch. One of us got a wrap and one of us got the sandwich on wheat bread. It was weird because the wrap in the sandwich, which we both paid the same for and got the same kind, we're completely different sizes. The wrap was much smaller than the sandwich. They did have good bread bread as it seemed super fluffy and huge. The sandwiches were piled high with meat and veggies. However, the service wasn't great, and the food was less than memorable. We couldn't even taste the ranch on the sandwiches, and the whole thing was pretty darn flavorless. It needed like salt vinegar or something. There was just no flavor. Maybe even offering it toasted? It just seemed like so plain and boring, especially for the price of almost $20 a piece when we got one sandwich a chips and a drink. Welllll...this USED to be our favorite way to finish up our weekly Farmer's Market trek but sadly, no more. Eleven a.m. on a Sunday and you're already out of tuna salad when I can see a giant can sitting behind the counter? Ended up with a just ok pastrami but not able to get it on sourdough because they now only have white, wheat and marbled rye? And my husband ordered a half roast beef and ended up with a whole turkey sandwich not even close to the one he ordered. He took it to the counter and no apology offered or any kind of adjustment and 3 other orders came out before his replacement. And the one employee making sandwiches had her long hair in a ponytail with long swoopy bangs that hung around her face. By CO law, establishments are required to have employees have their hair contained with a hat or net. No one likes hair in their food. This sandwich shop has been in Arvada for little while and I've been meaning to try it out. I was surprised to find it wasn't entered as a business on Yelp already. I had the North of I-70 sandwich with provolone on wheat. A classic Italian sandwich but I tried to make it healthy with wheat bread. It was really good! Fresh bread. Lots of options for vegetables and sauces to add on for free. Fast service. She answered all my questions. There was a pickle bar at the end of the counter with tons of different peppers, pickles, giardiniera, etc. and big to go containers to put it in. All super yummy. This review is only for their Reuben. My wife got another, lesser sandwich and unsurprisingly it wasn't as good. I've been searching for a good Reuben in the Denver metro area since 2019. I've probably tried between 10-15 different places in that time, including Leven Deli and Bagel Deli. This is the best Reuben I've found yet. The key to a good Reuben is the balance of flavors between the pastrami, dressing, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and marble rye. So many places get this wrong and seem to think a good Reuben is 95% meat, 5% everything else. This is the sin committed by Bagel Deli, which piles on so much meat that it's all you taste. Leven Deli does a good job with the flavors and it's definitely a quality sandwich, but it's also about the size of an adolescent cat. It's too much to comfortably eat at lunch when you have things to do besides nap immediately afterwards. Also, a Reuben is not a great leftover food. I want to eat the whole sandwich when I order it, because it's just better when it's fresh. This is where Lloyd's gets it right. It's a good size, it's clearly high-quality ingredients, and it very, very, very nearly nails the balance of flavors. I think maybe a tablespoon more sauerkraut and it would've been truly perfect. Still, it's definitely closer to 5 stars than 4. This isn't just a review, this is the end of a saga. My search for a great Reuben in Denver has come to a close. Thanks to Lloyd's, I may now rest in peace. PS. My wife's sandwich was actually pretty good, maybe a 4/5 if it had been toasted. read more

Now this is a sandwich shop! Nestled next to the old town Arvada train stop. I walked by and was shocked to know this spot had been here for quite some time considering I have never seen it! This is one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. Everyone in my group was more than pleased with the final product. I see a lot of reviews on here regarding workers not wearing a mask, when I went in yesterday there was only 1 worker and she had her mask on. I didn't sit in the shop while she was making the sandwiches, but it was on while ordering. The prices are steep but it was worth it! You can completely build your own sandwich, meat, cheese, breads, sauce, and fixings. Or you can pick from one their pre-established menu offerings, most included just the meats and you built the rest. Now speaking of the meats, they do not lack on them! Quick lunch today on the way to Denver from the mountains. I had the "Saturdays" in something sandwich. It had chicken, spicy giardnere, and garlic tabasco sauce. I also had it served hot.. it was delicious. My girlfriend had the Arvada (Turkey bacon ranch) and it was great. Definitely prefer the hot sandwich option for both of us! The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. They walked us through ordering and ensured we covered all of our bases. We've been coming here for years and it seems like things have been getting less great as time goes on. Don't get me wrong, the sandwiches are great, but the overall experience lacks in customer service which unfortunately makes you not want to come back. I'm always hopeful the next time I come in the employees will be in better moods. Nope...definitely not. Asked for extra onions and employee responded with "I'm not going to do that. Found this place in Old Town Arvada. Sort of out of the way right next to the train station. Store front type of location, almost looks like a bar. It is very deli like. When you walk in, you are greeted by a very friendly staff. The inside is clean, has a couple of dart boards, and has a foosball table. The sandwhich selection is solid and the options even include a build your own. Sandwiches are reasonable ranging from $7.95 for a half to $13.95 for a full. I came in to the shop. In my wheelchair with my service dog on my lap. Young lady It told me that they don't allow dogs in the restaurant. Which is understandable. However the dog is my service animal. She asked me what service he provided and I told her. She's told me that she didn't believe me. Its interesting she did this after I ordered my sandwichs. She did mention that if the dog was good he could stay this time. I told her he does not leave my lap. Paid for my order and then moved away from the counter so other customers could be served. She must have forgot what she told me. He told me that she would bring the order outdoors to me. So I left She brought them to me. She was wrong, I am a local and I have been in the restaurant before with my service dog. I have not had any trouble with any of the other merchants.And this includes restaurants in the Old Town.Are that area.In fact I don't have any trouble with any restaurant owner in the metro for area. So i'm going to leave bad reviews. However. I will be back when there are large events in Old Town. I am going Be on the side walk and I wil be talking to people walking in. Let me tell you, these sandwiches are so tasty and FRESH! It is also super cool inside, it is a sandwich shop but also a bar! It is also in a prime area in Old Town Arvada, this area is so cute and you can spend the whole day here in this area. I made my own pastrami sandwich with Priceline cheese, lettuce and avocado.
