    Athena Greek salad. So yummy!
    Connor L.

I am a total crunchy granola, rabbit food eating southern California girl; I will admit that wholeheartedly. Ha! Mad Greens is right up my salad loving alley and it's all so darn good. I found Mad Greens when I moved here in 2020 and it quickly became my regular spot to eat. In 2020, you couldn't go in for a while but they delivered curb side and through Doordash/UberEats. Once things reopened and until now in 2025 you can go inside and order. They have a variety of salads to choose from and each can be customized while they assemble your order in a stainless steel bowl. I've been here so many times over the years and the customer service is always excellent. They listen to requests and advise on extra costs if any. My regular go to is the Athena with beets but the Crazy Ivan and MAD Caesar and Ty Cobb salads are also delicious! Go...see...order...eat...and enjoy. There is indoor seating and a patio at this location. I've never dined in but the venue is always quiet and relaxed. Why doesn't San Diego have a franchise?! You're the freshest, MAD Greens!

If you're short on time and want a quick salad order, this is a nice location. Service was quick and there are plenty of seating if you planned on eating in store. The salads taste pretty fresh and I really like that they take time to mix all the ingredients together with the dressing. There's a lot more veggies in one salad order than I had realized. I ordered the Athena without olives and it was a pretty healthy meal that kept me full. The hummus trio was pretty good. The pita was okay and could've been warmed a little more but they give you plenty so great little dish to share with your group.

I was very busy at work and needed a quick, health bite to eat for lunch. A coworker recommended it and I decided to give it a try especially since its 5 minutes from the office. I did the create your own salad and thought they had plenty of options from lettuce type to toppings and dressings. The line moved very quickly and they had amble amounts of indoor and outdoor seating areas. For the basic build it yourself salad, I paid $13 and it ended up being two meals. Very tasty easy meal. I plan on coming back! Overall, 5/5 stars.

Raw shrimp. The manager could care less when I showed her.

I picked up our order, realized they had forgotten our drinks. However what I found next was worse, RAW shrimp. Luckily I saw it before I ate a bite. When I took it back I showed the manager at which point she stared at me with a blank face and said, " so what, you want a refund?" A simple apology would have gone a long way. Now I don't want to eat there in fear of food poisoning and for rude customer service.

Absolutely f up my order! Made it very clear, NO meat. I am severely allergic to the protein in meat. They put the chicken in the wrap! Absolutely horrible! Do not trust this place to make your order! You can see from the receipt that it states VEGETARIAN! I had to throw everything away as I could not trust that the other items were truly safe.

    Venus salad

Holy Venus!!!! I Love the Venus salad with spinach, strawberries, chicken and candied pecans. I frequent this place and the food is always fresh and the people are always professional and friendly. MAD Greens is consistently good and what's for dinner especially in the summer time. There is a $1 difference between the regular and large. So you might as well get the larger version and if you don't eat it all save it for the next day for a potential wrap. I typically don't switch up but the Ty Cobb is also a great, delicious chioce ! If you want an awesome dessert top of the salad with a brownie or toffee blondie. Lots of calories but well worth it if you pace yourself. Love the high level of consistent food quality, professionalism, and friendly atmosphere!

We tried a lot of things on the menu and liked each dish. But our absolute favorites were the kimchi sweet potato fries (this was a crowd favorite dish and we're still dreaming about it), ginger chili potstickers (so good!), and the hot fudge cake with ice cream for dessert (melt in your mouth warm chocolate cake with ice cream, it was 10 out of 10). We also enjoyed the butternut penne, everything crunch salad, and butternut squash arancini which were all delicious. Also, the bread deserves its own shout out - very soft and warm, and still rich in flavor. Easily the best bread I've had in a long time. Service was great with a friendly and attentive staff. Ambiance was warm, inviting, cozy and sophisticated. Would definitely recommend stopping here to anyone!!

I've been here many times in a variety of ways--sat at the bar, at tables with friends and by myself, both inside and outside, and even experienced the large farm table prix fixe menu, which was fantastic. My experiences have consistently been great--the food, service, and atmosphere have always been top-notch. Tonight, however, was my first disappointing visit. I ordered the root vegetable bruschetta, which was very good. I also ordered the butternut squash penne pasta, a dish I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it was extremely spicy. I'm not sure if the recipe has changed or if it was just a heavy hand in the kitchen, but it was not something I could eat. I mentioned it to the waiter, who didn't have an answer, so I simply asked for a to-go container. Since I couldn't eat it, I later gave the container to a homeless woman sitting nearby with her grocery cart. On my way out, I spoke with someone at the door who brought over the manager. The manager asked if he could see the dish, so I opened the container for him. He then asked if he could taste it and reached in, picked up a noodle, and tried it, saying he didn't notice anything unusual. He also wasn't aware of any changes to the recipe. I suggested that if the dish is now spicy, it might be helpful to note that on the menu so guests know what to expect. What left me disappointed wasn't just the dish itself, but how the situation was handled. There wasn't an offer to replace the meal or provide an alternative, which would have gone a long way. As someone who is only about six months into living in Colorado and a new business owner in the area, I often refer places I believe in. Tonight left me questioning whether I will continue to recommend Leaf based on how this was handled, though I'm hopeful that by tomorrow morning I may feel differently. That said, based on my many past positive experiences, I still believe Leaf is a great restaurant. I just hope this was an off night and that a little more attention is given to both consistency in the kitchen and how concerns are handled moving forward.

However, there were people sitting on their outside patio. Hardy folks, I guess! My friend was nursing a sore tummy, so she just had some grilled veggies and mashed potatoes. She loves everything she's had here. It was my first time. I ordered the chicken bowl with yakisoba noodles. It was lukewarm, but that's fine for me. I think they must have microwaved it because it was steamier as you ate down the bowl. The veggies were crisp, the noodles perfect, the chicken was tender. It was spiced at what I'd call a medium level, and quite yummy. My friend then ordered their vegan chocolate pudding, which we shared. Yummy and light. My one big criticism is that they charge $4 for iced tea. I questioned it and the cashier was kind of snippy about it, but the customer behind me approached after I dispensed my tea and said she agreed it's too expensive. The meal was appropriately priced and there is plenty of food, but the drinks? C'mon. It's worth maybe $2.50. They really should reevaluate that. It's the main reason that I gave the place 4 stars instead of 5. The other people who work there were nice and helpful. I didn't grab a fork but the server who brought my bowl cheerfully went and got me a fork and napkin. Very nice. It's obviously popular, it filled up as we sat, with quite a variety of people, from babies to seniors. I might go back, but perhaps next time I'll just get water. I hope they don't charge for that!

Overall the food taste and quality was good and the service was friendly. I will base my rating on that. I do have one comment not having to do with the food or service. Stop reading here if you don't care. Pure Kitchen has a 4% "Competitive Wage Compensation" charge. I was surprised to see this charge on the bill and only later saw that it was in the fine print on the menu, with an "opt out" option (what brave soul is going to "opt out" and risk spittle in their food). Maybe it's my fault for not looking at the fine print on menu, but it's a food menu, not a used car contract. Just my personal opinion, but I believe if a restaurant wants to have "fair wages" for their employees, it is their responsibility, not mine. Raise food prices, lower profit margin, whatever, but please don't add another tax. It just doesn't seem right. I have never once complained about high food prices in any of my reviews because it is my choice to go out to eat. I could eat at home if I want to keep within my monthly budget. I have avoided going to other restaurants based solely on this type of "fair wages" charge and will likely not come here again for the same reason (no matter how badly I want to try their Lamb Burger). I am really VERY SORRY for getting on my soapbox. I don't typically rant, but there are certain things that I believe should be addressed. I'm probably not the only person who feels this way.

I ordered the DDD special which was to come with chili and soup and a tortilla. The meat of the chili was so ground up it tasted like anything but meat, it was covered in a full layer of green onions, and the flavor was very citrusy with nothing else to balance it out. The soap had identifiable lumps of something that definitely didn't taste like chicken and just wasn't good. I finished the tortilla and had a couple bites of both sides. The tortilla itself was fine, but not great, and I don't think it would've tasted good if it hadn't been warmed up. I really appreciate that they cater to dietary needs, but I won't be back.

Collins has many wonderful restaurants we've enjoyed, but my favorite is Tasty Harmony. I'm not a vegan, but I do enjoy plant-based meals, and their food is delicious...!! The Nashville Chxn, Reuben, and Black & Bleu burgers are all excellent! Plus, they have an awesome staff there. Shout out to our server "Sam" for helping make the experience so enjoyable (and even remembering us from when we were there 5 months earlier.... :). )

Loved it! I was traveling in Fort Collins for business and visited this restaurant by myself, and…read morethe staff was very welcoming. I'm not vegan, but pretty close, so I always enjoy having a full menu of plant-based meals to choose from. I went with the samurai bowl and an impossible thoughts tonic. The samurai bowl exceeded expectations - the sesame nori-crusted tempeh was really unique and delicious with the caesar dipping sauce. They offered hot sauce but I ended up not really needing it because the bowl was plenty flavorful without. The tonic was also really interesting - lots going on but it really worked. In addition to the main menu, they also have a whole array of vegan cakes and cupcakes for dessert, many of which are also gluten-free. I had a GF lemon lavender cake. The cake was also fantastic and the texture was perfect. It was quite a large slice, so I'd recommend splitting a slice of cake between two people. A very good experience that I'd recommend for anyone interested in plant-based food!
