Ive been coming to this location for many years with all of my pets. This location has a Banfield and grooming salon inside. My main reason for coming to this location has been the Banfield. I love the way Dr. Borrison cared and still cares for my loved four legged baby boy. I have always had an excellent experience with this Banfield even during Covid when I was forced to do what was best for my late four legged baby; having him put to sleep due to severe medical issues. The sincere care and nurturning they gave to my pet, self and family was grateful. They are never too busy to assist you and always respectful and friendly when you call or come. read more

Good sales and I saved $20 in rewards/treats points. This store always has the brands I need for my furry friends. read more

angel did my dog grooming and it was an absolute delight. angel took extra thought and attention into caring for my dog who suffers from dramatic stay at home daughter syndrome. The store is always clean and the employees are nice and helpful. That's the retail side. The reason I'm posting a review is the grooming side. I have a Beagle mix rescue and he is a difficult patient to say the least. Every one of the folks there that have groomed him and clipped/ grinded his nails has been patient and very sensitive to how anxious he is in there. They all appear to be true animal lovers which has to be essential to the job. We are loyal customers! read more

Ordered cat food for curbside pick up. Received text saying my order was ready. Arrived at the curb and the sign said call this number for pick up. Had to listen to a repetitive 5 minute sales pitch followed by "press 0 for curbside pick up". I did. "This option is not available" and it disconnected me. Tried to go in the store and the woman playing security guard sitting by the door said I could not go in, she would not get my order and if I didn't leave she'd call the police. Went to PetCo the next day and had no problem. Still have to wait for my refund! read more

We made a nail clip for our senior chocolate lab. We were told we needed proof of rabies vaccination. So we brought the records from the vet which had the date of inoculation as well as the special tabloids tag. We were refused because we didn't have a certificate. Never again. Avoid using Grace as your groomer. She is disrespected towards her customers and presents as an abrasive and uncaring individual. When challenged about her behavior she became passive aggressive and tried to embarrass me for calling her out about attitude and untrue comments. The store manager apologized and offered half my money back, which I declined to accept, as I told him I did not want my money back and what I wanted was for her to be dealt with. I usually come here to pick up some Greenies or a couple of grooming supplies here or a toy on a 'spur of the moment' basis. That's because I generally order stuff from Chewy or PetFlow. My review is simply just a word of caution and advice to other dog/cat owners that leave bad reviews for these types of stores. PetSmart/Petco is pretty much a training facility for newly graduated vets/vet techs, groomers, trainers, and it's a revolving door of employees. If you do get a great person there, they won't be there long because they'll know their worth and go work for themselves or a independent practice. Please do not expect the best service, knowledge, and best treatment of your animals. This place is a corporate franchise. If you want consistent good service, and consistent caring treatment of your animals then please hop on google and do your research. There are plenty of locally-owned pet groomers, reputable vets and pet supply stores in the Baltimore region that are very concerned about retaining customers and proper care and handling of your pet. The worst and don't expect the manager George to act as if he even remotely wants to b bothered I brought my dog in , which is not the first time to have his nails trimmed. I had called earlier to see if I should make an appointment and they said just walk in.Before we walked in i muzzled my dog and not because he is aggressive but I dont know what will trigger him around other dogs or cats They said they would not take him but if I had not done it then they would had. Why isn't this policy told when I called and after I drove 30 minutes?I think the worst part is the lack of any compassion from the manager who must had been interrupted to talk to me AND I was not yelling just trying to make sense of it. The only think he liked saying is I am the manager as if he is the top dog This is the final nail for PetSmart. The first incident occurred during puppy training and the instructor slapped my dogs paw and made him yelp. I should had made a very big scene then. Our dog had been going here for years for his haircut. Recently, he was sent home partially shaved, unwashed, and the groomer claimed he wasn't cooperating and she couldn't continue. We were also told to expect a contact from the manager Monday to resolve the situation. I had to call Monday and was promised a call back within an hour or so. I called at 9:30am and it is almost 5pm and have yet to get a call back. I am EXTREMELY disappointed by the customer service from this experience. First groom my dog got here was horrible. Too crowded with customers and no employees around to ask for them to take more off of her face (which was not touched) - see picture. She actually shook for a week after the groom, I think (and hope) that is was just because she had very bad razor burn on her butt. Against my better judgement I decided to take her back, with the intent to just be more clear about what I wanted them to do. Due to an accident on the highway causing very usual heavy traffic the morning of the appointment, I was late and they refused to take my dog. At that point I was late for work with my dog. The man at the counter did not even look at me through the whole interaction, he just tried to reschedule me. Terrible customer service in addition to terrible grooming. read more

Grooming service doesn't read your comments when you make appointments addressing your dog concerns. We made a trip to the grooming salon to be rejected. Manager wasn't helpful, he didn't apologize. This store needs help from Corporate to show them customer service skills. read more

let me start off by saying that this review is SOLEY BASED on the online prescription experience. I placed an order for prescription dog food on 9/24/21, Petsmart requires a 3 business day period to contact the vet to get authorization. It is now 9/30/21, and I still haven't had my order complete. I spoke to some one on 9/24/21 and they finally contacted the vet and emailed an authorization paper to them. Monies have been placed on hold and I still haven't received a confirmation email to pickup my order. I will never order a prescription diet food from Petsmart ever again. I went this route to try out a couple of cans of dog food before committing to a case. I'll stick with Chewy.com who is more efficient, Ive never had an issue ordering prescription food. I was told they have no fax machine, maybe this department should have a backup plan to get authorizations more efficiently. read more

Took my dogs there to get groomed. Horrible experience. My dogs came back scared to be touched by people. Obviously they were mishandled. The people were very rude. Reported to corporate and the store in turn calls and yells at me. Have not heard from corporate since even though they were supposed to call in 3-5 business days since it is listed as a dog abuse case. Don't take your dogs there. Overall this store is pretty decent, but there are a few pros and cons. Pros: Great management Decent fish selection Clean and well kept store Knowledgeable reptile staff Cons: The dog trainers are only good for puppies The store is small and cramped They are often out of dog treats and chews I will certainly shop here again for my dog food, toy, and stain removing needs. I will not take training classes at this location because the dates of the classes change even when you have already signed up, the trainer focuses on puppies instead of all class members, and the trainer could not help me get my dog to walk politely on a leash. Extremely uneven customer service at this location. At times, staffers greet you and are genuinely ready to help; at other times (as in a recent visit), they are indifferent or (in a very few cases) even rude. The last time I was in and purchasing about $100 worth of products, a young man who's often cashiering made it clear by his sullen attitude that helping me was a terrible waste of his time. On the other hand, I've noted that several female cashiers were so helpful and upbeat, I would have left my beloved pets with them for safekeeping. Management seems similarly inconsistent; some managers are customer-oriented and professional, others are clearly there because they've found nowhere else to go. At this point, I believe I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I was in the process of adopting a rescued greyhound and needed to buy a giant crate, bed, food and water bowl, and food storage container. I looked online and the PetSmart on Aylesbury Rd. seemed to be the only store nearby that carried the humongous crate I was looking for. Unfortunately, the wretched head of the rescue organization changed her mind twice! and ended up giving our dog to a family who walked in a few days before we were supposed to bring him home. To make matters worse, she promised to buy the items I had purchased, since we no longer had the box for the crate. Of course, she reneged on that, too. Fortunately, the manager at PetSmart was lovely and let us return our supplies (we did have the receipt), even though she couldn't resell the crate. She donated it to a pit bull rescue!!! Great people, great inventory! PetSmart made a heartbreaking experience better! read more

Have been taking our dog for for several years for paw/pad trimming, nail grinding and bathing. Just told because of a new store policy with "groomers" and "bathers" the groomer we have been taking him to cannot give him a bath unless we pay $60+!! Store policies concerning these pet services are no longer customer friendly, and make no sense! We will no longer be using PetSmart for our dog care services. read more
