WHAT is this and where did it come from?!" I knew I needed to find this place ASAP. Fast-forward to my friend's birthday. I wanted to surprise her with something I already knew would be good, so I stopped by Sammy's on a Sunday to pick up a slice of red velvet cake. And since you already know I'm going to tell you about the parking vibes --parking is free and directly in front of the shop. We're talking park the car, take a few steps, and you're inside. We love to see it! The young man who greeted me was incredibly kind and helpful. I picked out a generously sized slice of red velvet cake and also noticed they still had some cupcakes available. I'd heard Sammy's can be pretty popular, so I was happy there were some left! Naturally, I grabbed those too and went with the red velvet and strawberry. I thought the pricing was very reasonable for what I received. If I remember correctly, everything came to around $25 and some change. The cupcakes came three to a pack, and the cake slice itself was a really nice size, so I felt like the value matched the quality and portions. Most importantly, the birthday surprise was a success! Everyone loved the cupcakes, and I was so happy with my decision to come here. Again, this is coming from someone who doesn't even have much of a sweet tooth, so the fact that ONE BITE of somebody else's cake was enough to send me looking for Sammy's should tell you everything you need to know. I'll absolutely continue supporting Sammy's, especially the next time I need desserts for an event. When you know you've found something good, you stick with it!

Business hours start at noon but she offered to come in early if I needed. She was very accommodating to my last minute add ons, pick up changes and questions. To my surprise, Yamesia used the photo on the oreos as well and that literally brought tears to the brides eyes at drop off. We had spent hours putting the same photo label on the party favor champagne bottles so now the cake, treats and party favors all match. I couldn't thank her enough. She is so friendly and knowledgeable about her art, unlike many of the new "bakers" popping up in the city just to make a quick buck.
