After going here for the 3rd time, I had to write a review because I love this place! I work right around the corner and a lot of my coworkers were talking about this haircut place really close to our office that was awesome and not a one of them had a negative thing to say of Snip2Curl. So I went and had the best hair cut I have had in years, honestly. Winnie is fantastic and really asks you how you like your hair. She asks you on every single step what you would like, which is way better than my previous experiences at barbers/hair salons where they mainly just cut your hair in a quick 10 minutes and get you out. She knew who I was the 2nd time I went in 2 months later and still knew how I liked my hair. Customer Service at it's FINEST!!! Snip2Curl is very financially friendly as well, which is nice for me, as I do not like to pay over $20 for a hair cut. This salon deserves five stars and my patronage! I've been here twice within a month. The first time was with a groupon to get a cut and deep conditioning. And, the second time, I got fringe bangs. I've gotten my hair cut by both Sammie and Winnie, and both are great and very detailed. This is a great place to go in San Francisco for a haircut. You get all the attention you get in one of the regular and expensive barbers in the city, but at half the price! A dry cut is only $20! In San Francisco this is a bargain price I have found. Sammie is the main person here it seems, and she is so attentive. You tell her exactly what you want and she will check with you throughout to make sure you are happy. She will also remember you as soon as she sees your haircut from the last time (assuming of course you got it cut there previously). Very impressed and would highly recommend. read more

This is a great hair salon. Winnie cut my hair and she was super friendly and very skilled. She spent almost 1 hour and a half making my layers look perfect. You could tell that she cared very deeply about the quality of her work. They've been open for six months and know how to treat their customers well. I would highly recommend the salon for a very affordable place to cut your hair and they also are very nice and get it done very quickly. At first glance I was attracted to the fancy decors of many places, not to say that Snip to Curl doesn't offer that environment, but I have not found the hand of skills to match. Sammie is the best! I was recommended to her by a coworker who, one day, came in with amazing hair~! In the beginning, I had some reservations on getting my hair cut because it's extremely thick and wavy - just all around hard to manage. Not many people are able to cut it correctly so I was a little worried on cutting it short. I made the call for an appointment on a random Friday morning and was able to book an appointment for two hours later. I showed her some pictures from Pinterest of what I wanted and she corrected me on what the style actually was. She took some time to look at my hair and offered a lot of suggestions on how to cut based on how my hair behaved. Not only that, she's the only person who looked at my hair and wasn't excessively commenting on what a wavy mess it was. She complimented it the entire time and was extremely excited to cut my hair the way I wanted. Overall, I would recommend EVERYONE to her. She knows her stuff when it comes to cutting hair. Winnie is the best, period. She's become my second mom. I chose Snip2Curl because of their great reviews on Yelp and I was not disappointed! They were able to get me in immediately (I called at the last min) and Sammie was my stylist. My hair is long and my biggest fear with trying new salons is that they will cut it too short but Sammie kept the length for me and just trimmed the dead ends off, and added more body and volume! I initially was very upset by my haircut-- it looked way too short (honestly I needed to be more clear and firm about what I wanted, or not gotten a cut at all) but after a day, I am starting to really like the cut! From when she was located in Chinatown, South SF, or at her NEW Polk Street location (very clean, with high ceilings an incredible modern look with a very comfortable hair washing station might I add). I absolutely love this place! The lady who gave me my haircut was friendly and cut my hair at my desired length. Since all salons have been closed due to the pandemic, I have been adamant to going out to salons to get a haircut. Masks and social distancing was enforced and I felt very safe in the parlor. She took my appointment last minute and was very kind even though I arrived 10 minutes late. The cut was great, my hair feels so soft and the style lasted for a few days.
