Order at the window. They instantly grind the ice, then customers are directed to the side to apply their own syurp. My children flip for this part. I have to admit, that when I order one for myself, I get a little excited about it too. It is not uncommon to see one child making careful flavor pairings, while the next tries some of each flavor. What is more kid friendly than that. My personal favorite is watermelon and cherry with a touch of lime. It is like summer on top of summer. I have been to school functions, festivals, even a dentist office that has had Kona Ice come out to serve patrons. (Sometimes it has been the Kentucky truck. The ice is freshly crushed and flavors then poured over. Yum! To add to this you can have it topped with watermelon and mint. All in all, it's a perfect treat. The price is reasonable, $3.50 for a medium, which could certainly be shared. That's your prerogative; I don't often share.
