TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE We have a 4 1/2 year old Golden. This was our first time here. I called the week prior and explained she has a nervous personality so we didn't want her there all day. The day of drop off the young Asian girl did not even greet Bentley. She grabbed her least and just pulled her behind the counter. She asked me if we wanted her stomach trimmed and I clearly said no, only the hair around her pads and her private area. I repeated this twice. i again let her know that she was nervous and she advised Bentley would be the groomers first groom at 9am. When I had not heard from them in a couple hours, I called and they said she would be done soon. They did not finish with her until 1:20. When we picked her up they had cut her feathers off her legs which they were never advised to do. Anyone who owns Goldens or grooms should know you don't cut their feathers. We will never use this place again! read more

Snobby Dog Spaw came highly recommended so I had no issues bringing my pup in for a visit. What I like: pups are allowed to roam around while they're there instead of being kenneled. What I didn't like: I specifically asked that my pups facial hair not really be altered as I like her shaggy. I was told they may straighten a line by her eyes and I said ok, but I still want her to look like a puppy. When I picked her up, the bridge of her nose had been shaved and she now looks like another dog. She wasn't even there to be groomed, she was only there for a wash and tidy puppy visit. I would have never agreed to clippers being used on her face as she is meant to be a shaggy dog. Super disappointed as I know this will take a long time to grow back out. Not sure why my request was ignored. She also got the sanitary cut, which is shaving from vagina to butthole and now she's running in circles trying to nibble her butt, I guess due to it itching from the razor. My husband and kids were appalled at her new look when she got home. Ugh. Also of note, she's a puppy and was there for hours and there isn't even a spot for her to relieve herself before we get in the car to leave. She whined all the way home until she could get out to potty in the grass. Overall, highly disappointed that I didn't get what I specifically asked for. When a client says not to alter facial hair, it should be a given that you not take a razor to it. Two stars because the hair will grow back and she was otherwise well taken care of. read more

We took our TEN YEAR OLD Wire Haired Fox Terrier to Snobby Dog for the first time and were HORRIFIED when we came to pick him up at 2:50 after dropping him off at 9:30 that morning, because all that ASHLEY could say was that he was so fidgety, she could barely cut his hair and that he was snapping at her, so she muzzled him. The reason we were HORIFIED was because ASHLEY didn't write down any of our instructions and literally, BUZZED the poor dog so bad that he seems embarrassed! At least he likes his Bow-Tie and didn't want me to take it off. The Pictures of before and after, if I could put them on Yelp, would prove everything that I am saying about ASHLEY buzzing him. If this girl supposedly knows dogs, then why didn't she take him out to PEE?? That is why he was so fidgety! I took him outside, and the poor dog took a whiz longer than ANY I HAVE EVER SEEN since we adopted him from the East TX SPCA in April. Which, to me, means he was NEVER taken out since 9:30AM! I think I, too, would have been squirming if I had to pee that bad. The thing that REALLY BOTHERS ME is that I don't understand WHY the staff at Snobby Dog's would NOT have taken out a TEN YEAR OLD DOG after being there that long?? The other part that bothers me about ASHLEY is that she DID NOT CUT MOWGLI like I asked her to! I really can't understand why a so-called "Professional Dog Groomer" would NOT LISTEN to HER CLIENT and then just BUZZ OFF as much hair as she did?? I asked for HALF of his eyebrows and beard to be trimmed and now he has NO EYEBROWS OR BEARD. We were supposed to get a discount for adopting Mowgli from the ETSPCA according to a foster named Kristen we met in our neighborhood, but ASHLEY said "I don't know anything about that". If I had not been SO MAD about Mowgli's Buzzcut, I WOULD NOT HAVE PAID ASHLEY, but after taking Mowgli out to pee, I just stuck my head inside the door and told ASHLEY that "HE FIDGETED BECAUSE HE HAD TO PEE"! I've been looking for a good alternative to PetSmart grooming for a while - the last time at the Big Box the groomers didn't seem to know what they were doing - and I was really glad to find Snobby Dog. I have a sensitive older dog, a skittish puppy and a laid-back basset hound and they all love to go here. In the past I've gotten whatever the groomer decided to do but Nicole Noa and Ashley Bailey listened to me when I asked them questions, answered me honestly and then followed through with everything they said they'd do. All of this and it's still cheaper than taking the dogs to Big Box and getting poor service. I'll be a regular customer and hope that everyone looks for this little shop in behind Game Exchange. Our little dog is not the tamest, Nichole has been the best to just pick him up, make him feel comfortable and handle his business we just LOVE her for that! I was worried, every time I'd walk out of Petsmart it's nearly 100.$. (PS, everyone seamed scared those days to even leave their loved ones at Petsmart. One lady's puppy's nails were bleeding from grinding...ouch!) but NOT these darling girls! They do a great job and aren't astronomical in their pricing. I'm impressed. They've got show dogs they handle here, so they really know their business & Ive seen some real beauty's come out, with their finishing touches and what not...just to die for! I have taken my pups to Snobby Dog Spaw for over 3 years. Throughout this time I had noticed pictures of dogs on their websites but never mine. I made an observation and comment. The owner of this place proceeded to belittle me on FB, but never once called me to discuss. After thinking about this, my attention went to the establishment itself & my recent thoughts. I started to wonder why they PACK ALL BREEDS AND SIZES OF DOGS IN ONE ROOM FOR AN ENTIRE DAY? Where do these babies potty; how do they get a drink of water; who is supervising them? As the owner did explain, they have 50 plus grooms a day! Wow! So, it is my opinion, these poor pups potty where they are; they're unsupervised; and, thirsty as heck. AND, there is no place for the babies to potty once being picked up. I'm searching for another facility!!!! read more

Read good reviews about this place and we wanted to give them a chance. My fiancé and I have three long haired dogs and we called in advance to schedule an appointment to have them washed dried and brushed only. The lady on the phone said it wasn't a problem and then Tuesday we took our dogs in for their apt and I asked the lady who was going to take care of our dogs if she knew what we wanted and she said no. So I told her we didn't want their fur cut AT ALL and she agreed on a bath, blow dry, brushing, and trimming the fur under their feet only. When we looked at the dogs they looked normal and then my fiancé noticed their privates had been butchered with clippers. I was furious and called to speak to the manager who left the phone so I could talk to the owner who told me to kick rocks and laughed when I said I wanted my money back. She said the girl spent too much time grooming them and that I was a liar and mistaken on what I specifically said 3 times before I let my dogs go. The lady that took my dogs never mentioned a sanitary cut because prior to seeing it I didn't even know what that was or I would have asked and not agreed. This place was highly recommended to me and I was really excited being that I am new to the Tyler area from Dallas. I called about a week in advance and was told I can drop my pup off the following Thursday between 9-11am and he would be ready by 3:30pm at the latest. I called the groomer at 3:15 to let them know I was headed that way to pick my dog up. I was then told that he would not be ready until 6:30-7pm that evening. I let them know I would be picking my dog up right away being that he was dropped off at 9am that morning. In my mind I felt best business practice would be to contact me as the customer to let me know it would be much later. I heard from another lady at my hair salon say she had the exact same experience when she used this business. read more

Service is horrible. after using them for years we have had enough! from not clipping all our dogs nails ( last time I got the clippers from them and cut the rest of my dogs nails on my tailgate in the parking lot. ) to the scraggly looking guy in the back yelling at the dogs to shut up. To this last time I dropped my dog off at 7:30 . I finally called at 1pm is my dog ready? nope. be another hour. I immediately left to get her by then it's been almost 7 hours since I dropped her off. I get there and they say she's still not done. I said I don't care bring my dog up here now. The owner refused. demanded I pay before they brought her to the front. ( which was wierd never before have they done this. And it's not like I wasnt going to pay and even if I didn't want to I could just call the credit card company later if I wanted to dispute. At this point I let loose because essentially they were holding my dog hostage. I should have called the police but I just wanted to get my dog and go. when I got home she couldn't stop drinking water so much so that I am sure she had been without the whole 7 hours! Please for your animals sake do not go to this place. from the shady looking guy that works in the back who yells at the dogs to "shut up" to no water for the dogs locked in the cages all day. We are so thrilled with our experience! Our pup has a crazy underbite, so most haircuts leave his face looking a little crocodile-ish, but Shaun nailed the teddy bear face perfectly! She was so friendly, very reasonably priced, and quick to get him done for how busy they were. She also went above and beyond, sending us home with a new client bag of goodies for Christmas and a thank you card attached! My dog was injured there about 14 months ago. I didn't notice at the time as front door only few steps from counter, parked handicapped right at door within about 6'. I had my hands full with leash, purse and keys. He layed still on seat for 40 mile drive home, I picked him up from backseat, setting him down was holding front right leg up.Called right away asked what accident happened as they have all size dogs,10# to over 100# running loose in grooming room,maybe be dog pounced on him as he was18# or was accidently dropped. When I called I wanted to speak but groomer answered said 3 owners were there and nothing happened and ut was maybe getting into car,about 5" off ground. GroomerJessica said he was so good when he was finished just laying in corner near her while grooming another dog, well yea, he was hurt and no one checked on him. They denied any wrong doing. Took to vet for xrays told nothing broken or chipped, most likeky pulled or torn ligaments or muscle. Expensive to use mri etc then nothing can be done anyway. Hurts me all the time to see him with limp and holding up his paw. They refused to pay xray saying nothing happened there. REALLY!!! He is Shitzu terrier mix, will try to post photo. I would hesitate using this groomer for above reason. read more

I have never written a review before but I was so disappointed with my whole experience I felt I had to share. They kept him ALL day long to find out that they only gave him a bath because he was 'too anxious.' I have had him for 3 years and we have never had a problem before. They didn't tell me this on the phone when they called me to tell me he was ready. Then they tell me they gave him a bath and then proceed to charge me $27 for a bath. I give him a bath weekly so NO I didn't need a $27 bath. I will never be back. read more

Excellent dog groomers and just all around caring people who will absolutely take care of your fur babies. They are very accommodating and worked with us to get our 150 lb guy in for a haircut. So I went to pick my dog up today, and a young lady named Shun groomed Marley. I must say she was very rude because I was not pleased with how much hair was trimmed from my dog. The impression I got from her this morning was not very professional because it was his first time going to her(my former groomer is no longer there ). She did not introduce herself no professional manners at all, and because I stated I wasn't intending for so much hair to be cut off she got an attitude and as I was walking out she said "can you please not put anything on Facebook cause they said you did before about your dogs eye". I was very offended because The issue had been resolved, and for her to bring that up tells me a lot about the character of some workers there! I have never felt so uncomfortable there but I did today and I will definitely not be back to that place. I was not going to post anything but after the comments Shun made I will be posting on all business and Maltese sights! My little Maltese has been going there for 2 years Shun is a very rude groomer! I was not upset until she made her comments as I was leaving. That attitude gives this place a bad name don't take your baby to Shun.The first time my dogs corena was injured and they did not want to pay and that's what she brought up so sad I have pictures my dogs eye! do not take your dogs there if you want them to get loving care some of the groomers there are not professional and the owner is not very supportive to the customers if a problem occurs. I will also report to the better Business bureau and any other site I can think of! I am really disappointed with snobby dog spaw and management!
