Worth the drive from Seattle. I paid $24 dollars for an early morning 18 hole. Un crowded course with friendly employees, try finding that around the 206. Course was in fairly good shape and it required a variety of clubs throughout my round( not just driver/ iron/ wedge. Got 18 holes in 3.5 hours. No houses, only trees. read more

Great course and good value. This is a tough golf course, but very beautiful and fun. Wish it was closer to Seattle, I would play this course a lot more. It is challenging and exposes any weakness in your game. Greens were a little inconsistent but that would be may only gripe. read more

Had a really great experience at Snohomish golf course recently. I took my two kids (jr golfers) with me. The staff was very friendly/accommodating and the course was in great shape. The greens roll great and the layout is very challenging, allowing you to hit a lot of different clubs. Played the chrispy Snohomish course today. Pretty sure they don't have a sprinkler system. Tee box was nice.....greens were fine....everything in between was a desert. I've played the course for 10yrs now. Watching it decline. Simply they don't take care of it. Still charge the same as Jackson or The Everett muni courses but both of those courses are in WAY better shape. Also.....I pulled my cart up to the 18th green like a normal person.....had some old dude approach me and ask me if the brakes on the cart were broken..... I said no...the cart is working fine... He said he was a few groups in front of me and heard me skid out serval times..... Said to me "please take better care of my carts".... I said ok and walked away.... Maybe he was the owner....never saw him in front of me all round.....just kinda appeared..... Maybe you should spend more time taking care of your golf course then your broke ass golf carts skidding on gravel... Just sad...that course has a lot of potential and it's a WASTE LAND....... I'll be playing Jackson and the Everett courses from now on. I'd give less than 1 start if I could. read more

I moved to Washington in 2016 from Bozeman, MT. As an avid golfer being in an area where golf season only goes from May to October, I always dreamed of living in an area where year round golf was possible. Sure, Southern CA, AZ or FL would have served that purpose better but we wanted to stay in the PNW where we feel comfortable. As soon as we moved here, I started looking for a local course that I can afford and enjoy every weekend throughout the year. I looked at other courses close to Mill Creek including the Country Club, but after several months of searching and trying other courses, I settled into joining the Men's club at Snohomish for a few reasons. 1. The members at the Men's club genuinely love the game and are very good/competitive players. but most of all they are "golf nuts" just like I am! 2. The Greens here are generally in good shape all year round. 3. Course layout appeals to better players. 4. Staff are friendly and are easy to talk to and treat their customers like people unlike some of the other places where it's more business like and players are treated like objects. I now call this course my "home course" and play there every weekend. If you genuinely love playing golf on a challenging course isolated from highway traffic noises, this is definitely one that you need to try. I highly recommend this golf course!! read more

Snohomish GC may be the best value in western Washington. It's for you if you loved a well-maintained course and superb track layout amongst old growth forest and the serene peacefulness of the surrounding farmland. If you hate reasonably priced golf and good, honest, down to earth people then Snohomish probably isn't for you. But please let me know where you play and I will make sure to never go there. read more

This is a great course. The price is beyond reasonable for the course. Great course length and a couple beautiful holes if the sun is out. I rented a cart but after riding the course I think it is a very reasonable walk as well. Greens were in good shape and I got off the tee on time. I have played multiple times on my own as well as a couple tournaments both were great times on the course. read more

Snohomish is a great course that offers some unique challenges while still being a course that even a beginning player will feel comfortable with their game. We played Thursday at 9:00 am. Pro shop was fine. The snack shop however was horrible. I never had someone so rude wait on me. We walked up to the door to put in our drink order and the guy looked at us like we were bothering him and said go outside to put in your order. What? After our first drink which we had with a frosted glass we ordered another with another frosted glass. The woman looked over at our table and said what's wrong with the glass we had ? RUDE !!! Then with disdain slammed a glass down. If that's the best they can find for their operation I feel bad for them. Also, the absolute worst hot dog I ever had. I asked if the pale tannish dog was cooked and after rolling her eyes muttered of course it's done. It wasn't and one of the poorest quality dogs I've ever eaten. read more

Have grown up playing this course. The layout is great and has always had potential to be a great golf course. Ownership has never spent the money on the course to make it better and has gradually declined over the years. The staff is clueless and most times has no idea what shape the course is in. In the summertime the course dries out and all the fairways die, in the spring and winter time the course has no drainage and is swampy. There may be two weeks out of the year where this course is in good condition. They will tear up fairways to add drainage, or let some of the greens die off, and still charge full price! If you don't mind overpaying for an "ok" golf experience snohomish golf course is the one for you. read more

Snohomish Golf Course is one of my favorite public courses in Western Washington. Just like any public course this side of the mountains, it gets a lot of play, but every time I take a trip out to Snohomish I know it is worth it. I live in Seattle and the city courses are usually very busy. The times I had an evening open up and didn't call ahead for a t-time I have almost without fail been able to get on right away at Snohomish. I realize that I would have spent more time waiting at a Seattle course that I spent driving to Snohomish. Also I have had good luck with the greens there too, everytime I seem to go out there in the summer I have had the luck of good hard semi-fast greens, which are a fun challenge. Another advantage is using the grass driving range before the round, hitting off matts is deceiving and I tend to have more consistent striking during the round because I get to see what I am truly doing at impact. The golf course itself is in a farmland setting. It is a beautiful landscape. During the summer they let it brown a little which allows the fairways to roll and the greens to firm up. I like that. It not only saves the course money in water, but ultimately saves the golfer money. It also adds a fun challenge to the course of landing your shots in the correct place in the fairway, something that Pacific NW golfers are not to accostomed to do, but is the way golf was meant to be played. I love the course design itself. It is an older classic design that makes the golfer shape the ball off the tee and craft shots into the greens. The tree lined fairways can be a challenge and cause one to have to make some decisions in which club to hit. It is long enough that about half par 4's require a driver off the tee, the par 5's are mostly all reachable in 2 for longer hitters. The fairways are undulated and most greens are guarded by well placed and manicured bunkers. My customer service experience has been great at Snohomish. I had a 4 year old rain check card that was itself rained on, faded, and torn a little. They were nice to acknowledge it, which helped me afford the weekend rate (though it is affordable compared to other courses around). Also the snack shack has a good selection of mid round fuel and honest prices. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that during the winter it could drain better and it seems the greens get soft and fairly slow. It is difficult with the sort of soil we have in this area, but adding more sand and drains in critical places would help a lot. Overall I really like Snohomish, recommend it to my friends, and have brought a few out there. I really like going out on warm summer afternoons, they are especially beautiful and affordable with the twilight rate. read more

I am a scratch golfer and have my regular buddies that tour around and play western washington golf courses. I have played Snohomish GC a bunch of times only because one of my buddies lives in Snoho .The greens have improved in the past 2 years, and they roll really well. But they are on the slower side. Despite the observation, I really enjoy the layout of the course and once you get golfing, you are isolated and its enjoyable. They offer a nice sized range and a pretty good practice facility, including 2 practice greens and a separate chipping green. The problem with this course is the management. The pro-shop is a remodeled mobile home. The course has potential but lacks the motivation by the Director Fred Jacobson. He often works the register. It is not a eloquent course or experience. Mr. Jacobson ruins my experience every time. I was on the range, and his dog was roaming the fairways, the dog relieved himself right next to my bag. After that Mr.Jacobson, (who always looks like he just got back from a hunting trip) yells across 3 holes for his dog. Talk about golf etiquette. Mr.Jacobson makes you feel like he is doing you a favor coming to his golf course. He is rude, stuck up and ruins the mood whenever crossing his path. What would be expected is a great full experience from any golf course. That what golfers pay for, the experience. He obviously takes no interest in improving the golf course. The course feels like you are going to his backyard, with his personal things in the background, and greedy to hoard your money without putting it to good use. I took a lesson with him, and was poorly disappointed by a hunter and his dog giving the same quality advice as his persona. The golf carts suck. Simple as that. Slow and old gas carts. The food in the cafe is pretty solid. John Brandvold is a great head pro who is a very compassionate golfer and is great to talk to. I feel bad that he is stuck with Mr. Jacobson and the Snohomish Golf Course. He deserves to be at a higher class GC, a country club. I always enjoy talking to him, he is very down to earth. Great man. (Also, at least he treats you as a paying customer and tries to make it worth wild, unlike Mr. Jacobson) That being said, if you pay for pure golf, and not the experience then its okay. I would recommend driving the extra distance to find a course you like and probably for the same amount of money. read more
