Warm apple cider donuts fried onsite
    Regina L.

Our family came on a weekend morning and we had a relaxing and enjoyable visit. Parking is a bit limited but we were able to find a spot in the designated dirt lot. I've heard the lines for their apple cider donuts can get long so we came early on a weekend morning to beat any potential crowds, and we were able to easily and quickly get a couple dozen of their delicious mini apple cider donuts which were soft and sweet. Forewarning, their tiny size makes it perfect for overeating, but no complaints here as they were delicious! There's a decent sized outdoor area with picnic tables for seating. It's mostly shaded from the trees and beautifully decorated with string lights. After we enjoyed our donuts at the picnic table, we walked around the grounds and looked at the apple trees, and also perused the country store which offered samples of their delicious cider and slices of their crisp and tasty apples. Perfect Fall activity and we can't wait to come back next year and make this a tradition.

Apple donuts (dozen): Not a big fan of the donuts they were soft and fluffy not crispy. Per my Asian sweet tooth, this was too sweet for me so I could only eat one donut while having my water bottle on the side. Tip: Price was reasonable, but Apple Annie's has a apple donut stand open during Thanksgiving time which sells $1-2 lower. If you go earlier than Thanksgiving then the stand might not be open. Parking lot available, no charge. HOWEVER, there is tight road to drive to the parking lot. I would recommend to go at nonpeak times because the cars entering the road are pretty much driving off the edge of the cliff.

1 hour long wait but well worth it for the yummiest made fresh apple cider donuts! They're perfectly warm and chewy and seasoned with apple cider flavored sugar. Just the perfect amount of sweetness. The apple cider slushie was good, but was a bit melted (which staff let us know prior to purchasing). Overall must try if you're visiting oak glen!

Fresh, warm mini donuts..what's not to like!? These donuts are delicious and addictive. We made a quick stop to grab these and enjoyed them outside on their benches under the trees. Super good. A dozen is recommended.

I LOVE these donuts! I visited last year and drove the almost 90 miles from LA again just for these donuts this year. They are so airy and light! I could eat a dozen of these. I highly recommend making this your first stop while visiting Oak Glen. P.S don't wear a floral or fruit scented perfume. The bees were after me XD

I went on October 5, Sunday and arrived around 10:30 AM. Parking: the main parking lot was full but there were still spots on the left side on the dirt road/path when you go through and past the main lot. We went around the loop twice and the second time, we were able to secure a spot in the main lot. The parking is busy, but people are generally in and out so don't let that intimidate you. Service: the cashier who took our order was standard, regular-- nothing to note! That makes sense though, the line can get long so they're probably trying to get people in and out. Ambiance: the line was out the door when we arrived and we waited for 15 minutes which wasn't bad at all. When we came out at 11, the line started wrapping around the building. Loved that the store let you try fresh apple samples of many different varieties. The store also sells ornaments and holiday trinkets. It was so cute inside! Food: 1 dozen mini apple cider donuts (1000/10)- they were sooooo good! Hot and fresh because they're literally made fresh in front of you. The donut itself tasted so good and it paired so well with the cinnamon sugar. The flavor of the donut reminds me of the flavor of the powdered donuts but the texture is different, the texture is better (light and fluffy rather than dense and cakey). It's soo good that I wish I got more and I plan on going back just to pick up donuts cold apple cider (10/10)- nothing extraordinary to note, but it was good. Very fresh and refreshing!

Every September for the past 4 years my family has been visiting Snow Line for their Apple cider donuts. This time we went on Labor Day and it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. Perhaps the first weekend of Apple season isn't as busy. The weather was however super hot. We've usually gone mid September when the weather is cooler but the crowds are definitely there. If you find yourself in Oak Glen be sure to make a visit to Snow Line. Visit their lovely shop go to the back room and try some apple brandy and pick up a bag of apple cider donuts. Parking is free however the lot is small. Lots of benches outside to sit on and some shade underneath some trees.

Marker a favorite in my book. So much fun and such a cozy little fall spot. I would travel around the world for their mini apple cider donuts and apple cider slushies. Sure the line might be long but they are worth it!!! I love the homemade salsas such as the pineapple mango salsa and apple butter they sell. There are so many delicious items for sale. Up the hill a bit there a vendors and some fun games, even a tiny petting zoo. Super cute for kids! It's usually hot every time we go so check the weather! Love the decor around the farm ranch. Everyone is always very friendly. I will be back!!

TL;DR - their apple cider donuts are DELICIOUS! I've been here twice over the last 5 years and I'm so happy to rediscover these donuts. Their apple cider donuts are so good that it's too bad that I can't get them anywhere else! If they made these available in other parts of socal then I'm sure they'd go even more viral. They make them fresh on the spot and you can even see them being fried. They're soft, warm, sugary, and taste just like apple cider but in a donut form. I wish I bought 3 times as many donuts!! This place also has other things for you to purchase including gallons of apple cider. It's a really nice place to hang out and eat with friends. Nearby is the popular apple picking farm as well as other fruits and veggies. I heard you can pick raspberries on this property but we didn't do it (we saw the raspberry bushes though!)

We had such a great time at Snow-Line Orchard! This was my first time picking raspberries and blackberries, and it was a really fun and relaxing experience. The orchard has a quaint, rustic charm with lots of character--quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by picnic tables where you can sit and take it all in. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and we especially loved meeting Slate, their resident cat and unofficial employee. He has a collection of beanie babies and clearly runs the place. It was $10 for a basket to pick berries, which felt very reasonable for the experience and the amount you could collect. Definitely recommend grabbing a dozen of their apple cider mini donuts too--they were $8 and so worth it. If you're looking for a chill, low-key day in Oak Glen with some unique charm, this is the spot. We'll absolutely be back.

    Ming-Jou C.

Line is long for donuts and apple cider slushie but it moves fast! Parking is usually okay if you go early meaning before 11 am arrival but of course it all just depends. Donuts are yummy and the slushie is delicious. Plenty of space to walk around and sit and take pictures!

    Ky-Anh H.

I don't like donuts much, but these were so tasty! And so fresh, you can watch them being made in real time to the side. The apple ciders were also all so good too, they had samples of all 3 of them and a variety of apples they sell, and I personally liked the cherry apple cider one the most. I've heard there is a long line, so come early! We went and got here around 10:30 AM on a Monday, so there wasn't much of a line. Definitely stop by if you're planning on visiting Los Rios Rancho! It's very close by.

    Steph P.

These apple cider donuts are soooo good! I've had them twice now and each time they were fantastic! The long line moves surprisingly fast. And the donuts are totally worth the wait. I eat about 6 of them myself, so a dozen is perfect for us to share.

No apple picking. In fact, hardly any apples left on the trees. We were there 10/17

Are you open? Yelp will not give directions due to road conditions.

Sorry for the delay. The roads were closed temporarily due to the fire but they are now reopened.

The apple cider was good, but I would've preferred it to be colder and not served in a Styrofoam cup. I'm assuming that's because it was the end of the day and it looked like they were running out of apple cider and other materials. I also got the apple cider popsicle for $2 which was a good deal. It was good, but I didn't like how the juice separated from the water during the freezing so it tasted like regular ice by the time I got to the core of the popsicle. For food, I tried their Strawberry Banana Sweet Bread and that was my favorite thing! It was not too sweet and moist. It was $6.50, but not too bad for a whole loaf. The interior was fun and rustic. There are several things to shop for from different baked goods to nic nacs. The service here was pretty good and the staff seemed nice and personable. There's some parking out front as well as some picnic benches and tables with nice views of the mountains and foliage while you enjoy your treats. Overall, a good stop for some casual shopping and to enjoy a sweet treat if you're ever in the Oak Glen area.

The staff informed us that depending on what apples we want to pick, we would need to head to different parts of the farm and the price would vary. We went towards the pink ladies because I'm a huge fan. We got 2 bags and began slowly twisting the apples off the trees. Our son had a great time that he quickly filled up 2 bags and we ended up spending about $30 on all the apples. We saw they still had some pumpkins, a field for chestnuts, and fields for other types of apples. We may be back to pick other fruits when they are in season. We decided to take a break and there were a couple of stalls to purchase merchandise, snacks, and food. We tried some fresh kettle corn which was hot and popped to perfection. There was so much to see and do at the farm, such as corn maze, petting zoo, and being able to pick a bucket of apples to press your own cider! We lined up at the farm kitchen for lunch for some bbq. While waiting for 45 minutes, I could see them grilling the meats and it looked delicious. I ordered tri-tip sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, some ribs, apple slaw, and some cowboy beans. They gave us the bbq sauce on the side to put as much as we want on the meats. The meats were salty, which was disappointing, and the tri-tip was slightly tough. The ribs weren't fall of the bones, but perhaps I was expecting too much. After putting the bbq sauce on the meats, it did balance out the saltiness. The cowboy beans were ok and the apple slaw was my favorite. It had a good balance of sweet from the apples they grow and the vinegar taste that was mixed in with the other ingredients. Before we left the farm, I had to buy a small bottle of cold apple cider and a sugar free apple pie. The apple cider was definitely refreshing on a hot day and it wasn't too sweet! We arrived shortly after the farm opened up on a Saturday and was able to find a spot in the parking lot that was almost full. I read that the parking lots open up about an hour before the farm is open, so my advice is to get there early. Otherwise, you'll probably get directed to another parking lot and require some walking. The farm was clean and all the staff we interacted with were friendly.

Check the website or call the farms to see which orchards are open during your visit, or book a field trip. We've had a couple of locations closed on us when we arrived in the past. You can't go wrong with any of the apple farms. If you're looking for a specific type of apple, ask the staff and they'll be happy to point you in the right direction. Apple samples can also help determine what type of apples you want. Prices vary depending on the apple type, and a minimum weight requirement applies. At the heirloom Winesap orchard, there was a two-pound minimum. We enjoyed exploring and picking fresh fruit from the trees--a real treat for the whole family, especially the kids. Wear comfy shoes you won't mind getting dirty. The weekends can be terribly busy, so it's recommended to visit as early as possible or during the weekdays. Fall is also an excellent time of year to visit. There are plenty of places to eat and things to do around the area as well--a perfect place to spend the day or half a day.

It feels like stepping back in time in the best way. When you drive up to Riley's there are staff that direct you to either the Colonial Chesterfield Restaurant & Bakery area (lower parking lot) where they also have archery, tomahawk throwing, and other colonial-themed games and activities or to the upper lot where there's Heritage Homestead BBQ, an apple and pear u-pick field, and a little barn area with goats. You can also do a ride-a-long on a tractor that takes you around the farm. We stopped at the upper lot to pick apples & pears first, and had some BBQ inside the packing shed. We had the chicken cowboy plate ($27) as well as the tri-tip cowboy plate, with 3 sides each. We ended up getting ranch beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and corn bread. Everything was quite tasty, and the apple BBQ sauce was great. The cornbread was also great with butter and honey. Both the chicken and tri-tip were cooked very well and tasted great with the BBQ sauce. Within the packing shed, there were tables/seats and a bar in which you can order drinks and listen to a band while eating. After that, we went fruit picking which was a fun hands-on experience for adults and kids at an affordable price. We also went to the lower farm area where we had desserts. You would order outside, and you can either sit outdoors or go inside of the tavern to sit and eat (there's air conditioning inside) which was nice since it was in the 90s the day that we went. We ordered the apple shake and a blueberry turnover, which were both good. We ended up walking around the grounds to see the pond and the different activities they had to offer. We didn't get to do any of the activities since we went there late and they were about to close. There were also signs showing that they do themed days, which looked really cute and fun. We'll definitely be back again to enjoy the different activities.

Casa Solano Orchards is a spot we added to our list of "must do's" when we come to the area again. It's owned and operated from their own family home. The cider options were all delicious, the family made you feel so welcome and happy you were there. There was so much room to hangout & grab a drink! Dont miss the seats by the creek or balcony seating! There is truly no bad spot. They had music playing, a childs playground, yard games, orchards to walk through and pick during the season... we will absolutely be back!

The orchard was beautiful and had lots of fruit to pick. They had a couple of different varieties available, some that were really sweet. Right when we got there, we were greeted by friendly staff. Apparently they're known for their ciders, I think specifically the hard ciders. We got the flight and my favorite was the guamica, guava flavor. It was amazing ! They also have non alcoholic drinks available and a bbq vendor there. Great for a nice meal. I really liked the place even though it was a smaller orchard because I feel like it embodies what I'm looking for when I go to an apple orchard. It's immersive and nature-y with such great vibes. It was quiet, bright, and peaceful. Everywhere else I stopped by was WAY overcrowded and stressful, but not here. It's family owned and it had that personal touch. We had a chance to speak with the owner, and he knew so much about apples and was so friendly. This place was definitely my highlight of Oak Glen and I'm looking forward to go back.

Surrounded by nature, with fresh mountain air and birds singing, it's the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the outdoors. We visited in December, so it wasn't peak season and not everything was open, but we still had a great time. Even with fewer attractions available, it was fun just being there walking around, taking in the scenery, and enjoying the quiet, outdoorsy atmosphere. It's a lovely place to visit, especially if you appreciate nature and simple pleasures. Even in the off-season, Oak Tree Mountain was enjoyable, and I can only imagine how charming it must be during peak season.

More importantly, we laughed and had a great time. When we arrived early in the morning, the temperature was 35 degrees and overcast. If you plan to visit here anytime soon, BRING a jacket as you WILL feel the chill the second you open your car door. It was pretty chilly, but it felt GREAT as the air was crisp and fresh. I read the many negative Yelp reviews regarding an additional fee to visit the upper area. Thank goodness they were not charging during our visit, as we would have done exactly what many other visitors did before us and left. The small shops were lovely to visit, as all the items sold are handmade and, surprisingly, very affordable. One shop was offering 50% off EVERYTHING, so my family and friends definitely took advantage of the savings. This is a fun place to visit and to get away from it all for a few hours, as long as they do not charge visitors any additional fees, including parking, which, during our visit, was free. Thank goodness for anything free nowadays.

Low-key and charming, with some unique surprises. Chief among them, the craft apple cider cocktails. I got a mule and my daughter and wife got a tasty, smoky Bourbon revelation in a glass. (Well, actually a plastic cup, but I'd drink either out of a rusty hubcap they're that good.) "Would you like some ratatouille crostini to go with that?" "But of course!" (Best call I made all weekend!) Sit by the fire or find a spot of sun at one of the scattered tables. Walk around and explore. Go to the creek at the back of the property and listen to the water go burbling along over the rocks and through the brambles. We were there early (just short of 11 a.m.) so it wasn't too crowded. If you want a commercial experience, go to the Village or else where on the mountain. If you want something truer, go to Stone Soup Farm.

The tour is relatively short, but very informative, which is perfect for kiddos, and there's very few people compared to busy weekends! The activities such as panning for gemstones and candle dipping are very fun for the kids, and I cannot say enough good things about their new children's garden! I highly recommend this farm, they have beautiful private picnics as well!
