Everything is so good -- nothing like the flavorless junk in the supermarket. It's a little out of the way and possibly hard to find, but it's honestly only like five minutes from the freeway. You actually get to talk to the guy who grows the produce -- Mr. Rios. He said he has leased the land for 37 years, and he took the time to show us around and show us the 400 tomato plants he just planted. He was proud of his work, and he told us what fruits were coming into season in the next couple of months. Needless to say, I definitely look forward to return trips.

The strawberries were excellent. I am sensitive to chemicals so I avoid the store bought. they also have some kale and spinach growing, but they don't have any ready yet. They are sellling to high end markets and natural food stores right now. I think their label is Janet and Esther's. there are some other strawberry stands, but this is the only organic or "better than organic" stand I know of.

Raspberry picking was so much fun! For $20/3-pint flat (or $10/pint), we waded through the summer brambles and picked so many delicious magenta gems. We gobbled some raspberries straightaway at a shaded picnic table and made jam with the rest. A special shoutout to Josh, whose smiling kindness, excellent knowledge, and extra-thoughtful offer to split a full slushie into two cups for the little ones in our group made the visit even better. The store is wonderful, too, with homemade jams, jellies, and canned fruits and vegetables, olive oils and vinegars ($8/tasting), rustic merchandise, and a backroom bar featuring homemade wines ($20/5-wine tasting or $12/glass). The orchard has a good-sized parking lot as well as two bathrooms. PRO TIP: wear long pants if you want to avoid thorny brambles while raspberry picking!

The live music adds such a fun, relaxed vibe while enjoying a meal. I never leave without making a visit to the shop where they sell, unique items, souvenirs, organic jams and honey! Riley's is a place I look forward to coming back to especially in the fall. If I lived closer I'd be here much more often! The staff informed us that depending on what apples we want to pick, we would need to head to different parts of the farm and the price would vary. We went towards the pink ladies because I'm a huge fan. We got 2 bags and began slowly twisting the apples off the trees. Our son had a great time that he quickly filled up 2 bags and we ended up spending about $30 on all the apples. We saw they still had some pumpkins, a field for chestnuts, and fields for other types of apples. We may be back to pick other fruits when they are in season. We decided to take a break and there were a couple of stalls to purchase merchandise, snacks, and food. We tried some fresh kettle corn which was hot and popped to perfection. There was so much to see and do at the farm, such as corn maze, petting zoo, and being able to pick a bucket of apples to press your own cider! We lined up at the farm kitchen for lunch for some bbq. While waiting for 45 minutes, I could see them grilling the meats and it looked delicious. I ordered tri-tip sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, some ribs, apple slaw, and some cowboy beans. They gave us the bbq sauce on the side to put as much as we want on the meats. The meats were salty, which was disappointing, and the tri-tip was slightly tough. The ribs weren't fall of the bones, but perhaps I was expecting too much. After putting the bbq sauce on the meats, it did balance out the saltiness. The cowboy beans were ok and the apple slaw was my favorite. It had a good balance of sweet from the apples they grow and the vinegar taste that was mixed in with the other ingredients. Before we left the farm, I had to buy a small bottle of cold apple cider and a sugar free apple pie. The apple cider was definitely refreshing on a hot day and it wasn't too sweet! We arrived shortly after the farm opened up on a Saturday and was able to find a spot in the parking lot that was almost full. I read that the parking lots open up about an hour before the farm is open, so my advice is to get there early. Otherwise, you'll probably get directed to another parking lot and require some walking. The farm was clean and all the staff we interacted with were friendly.

The food was delicious and very fairly priced. We saw fruit vendors, vendors selling herbs for teas, we sampled and bought chamoy watermelon licorice, and we enjoyed some absolutely delicious tamales. A few quick tips for first-timers: Since it's downtown, it's surrounded by financial and government buildings. The farmer's market itself is a bit narrow and only takes up a very small part of space, like a parking lot, so it's easy to miss (I almost drove past it). While narrow, everyone was polite and friendly as they passed by. Also, it can be tough to find a spot initially. We found free parking just one street over, next to the Wells Fargo building, which has rows of spaces on both sides of the road. Overall, it was a pleasant Southern California day.

Lavender Festival Review (2026)…read more My group of three headed to the Lavender festival for the first time this weekend. Many events for the holidays take place at 123 Farms and this summer holds space for the beautiful lavender field and activities! The signs leading to the location were easy to find and you can either purchase your tickets online, or at the gate before you enter the festival. I loved the food, as they really try to incorporate lavender into their items, such as lavender honey, ice cream, pizza, and even a smash burger! Although nothing tasted as strong as I expected, the food was worth a try! I ended up splitting a lot of it with my friends so we could try different things. Our favorite item had to be the pepperoni and ricotta sourdough pizza! It was amazing! I'd pass on the sourdough mini donuts. Some of my first timer tips: The petting zoo ends at 5pm, so make sure to visit early if you plan on going! Go on the tractor ride when it's cooler, as my friends and I were struggling to keep cool on the ride since it's summer. And be prepared to pay for the tractor ride as it is $8 a person. Bring a fan or hat, and sunscreen! I personally don't recommend wearing sandals because there's many dirt areas and fire ants in the lavender fields! All in all, I had such fun filled day here at 123 Farm. They did a really fabulous job with the decorations and food which truly felt like a festival that didn't run you for your money. The gift shop items are definitely pricy. Definitely recommend this festival for your summer plans!

As soon as we got to the parking area none of the staff knew what we were talking about. No one knew if we had parking paid, no one knew where the event was and they didn't know where to send us. I showed them the flyer and they let us park so we went in. We talked to about 5 different employees and then we found the front lobby one directed us to. Once we figured out where we had to go we decided to get some drinks. I went up to the first drink place near the parking lot. Once I got up to order you could tell the cashier was very unhappy. I ordered two alcoholic drinks. She immediately said if I was giving alcohol to someone else I was going to have the cops called on me. I told her no I just wanted to try two drinks. She rang me up and once I picked up my drinks she again said to me, if I see you giving this to one of your little friends you will be escorted out and the police called on me. If someone reads this review it was an older white lady with dreadlocks working the booth. I am 26 years old I don't know what she targeted me for looking young and I didn't have any girlfriends with me. After that experience, I found the farmer that was leading us on the strawberry field picking. She was amazing, you could tell the farmers had a ton of passion with what they did. It was amazing history about the farm and then we all picked fresh strawberries at the end. They also gave us free fresh lemonade.
