Every time we're visiting family in Yucaipa we HAVE to stop at Manna's for the best donuts in town!!!! They're so light, they don't feel oily at all, which is my number one concern when it comes to donuts, and they taste so good!! I hate when a donut just taste like sweet and nothing else, these taste like a real donut should, and I love that the chocolate or maple glaze is tasty too. when I got home I realized I didn't get the doughnuts I asked for. I asked for three maple bars as part of my dozen and they were being counted in my count as the dozen and when I got home I only had one maple bar and two other random doughnuts I didn't even ask for. when I went to pay the amount was different for what was posted for the dozen. there was no breakdown of the cost but it was 6 dollars more than what was posted as the cost for a dozen. read more

Went here on Valentine's Day, at around 6am and they had about 3 people before me. The service was fast and they were able to take my order relatively quick. The gentleman whom I think might be the owner made his way to the front to assist. And was really friendly and greeted me with a smile. The location was convenient and the inside was well organized and really clean. Everything was fully and well stocked from the coolers with drinks, donut display, and even the self serve coffee creamer stand. I really enjoyed seeing this location operate at such a degree. Growing up donuts were a weekend staple for me and my family. And every place I've gone to, between Banning, San Jacinto, Beaumont, and random stops I've made throughout So-Cal. Over the years the quality hasn't been the same. This place however gets donuts right. The price however could be a bit much. But for what I left with and the quality plus taste. I believe it's well worth it. I've made frequent stops here when working in the area or visiting. For either a dozen or a single long John maple bar paired with an Arizona tea, Red Bull, or coffee. Love coming here with the kids on weekdays. The family running this place is wonderful and sometimes they even throw in an extra donut for us when we buy a dozen. Always so friendly and kind. I really like the apple fritters and the twist donuts, their recipe seems to be pretty fluffy which is my personal favorite. So it's a quite Sunday morning, and we saw a ton of cars in front of this donut shop - so we had to stop and check it out. As you can see from my pic, they were loaded and ready for customers. When we arrived it was slow, but then the crowd had followed us in. Suddenly, staff rose to the occasion, and became super-efficient. There aren't many tables there so I believe everyone had their donuts togo. As you can see from my pic, I had my usual apple fritter. It was the expectedly large and dense pastry. It had the right amount of crunchy parameter, and tender/soft center and the requisite super sweet glazing. In their fritter, they had ample amount of apple bits dispersed throughout. For variety we had their lemon creamed filled powdered donuts. This didn't disappoint on the ample amount of lemony sweet filling or the powdered sugar. I was so overwhelmed by the amount of filling, I don't exactly remember what the donut was like - I think a light dough that mushable when we pulled it apart to share (and what a mess I created with the powdered sugar!). read more

The donuts were mediocre. What I'm mad about is the fact the girl overcharged me. It should have been $8 plus the 75 cent fee to use my atm card. She told me my total was $9.76 and then charged my card for $10.14. So not only did I over pay, the donuts were mid. We were meeting a big group of folks in Yucaipa for a weekend camping trip and on a whim we decided to stop and grab two dozen donuts from Manna. We went in and were greeted with smiles and amazing energy from the staff. I asked for two dozen mixed donuts and without hesitation they began fulfilling our order. Honestly, I wish they were closer the donuts were so good. They were fresh and they tasted fresh. Honestly, probably one of the best tasting and most flavorful donuts I have had in a really long time. I can't wait to stop there again - even if I have to go out of my way to get there. We came here for coffee and donuts for the first time about a month ago. We have now changed our Saturday routine to come here every week for coffee and donuts. They always have the lightest and airiest glazed donuts- as good or better than Krispy Kreme! Their cake donuts (a La Homer Simpson) are delicious and have a perfect flavor as well. We have also never had better donut, holes, - I think they must toast them a tiny bit extra before glazing them. They are airy, and the flavor is incredible. Their coffee is always hot and they have a cream & sugar bar (complete with ice cubes in case you don't like your coffee hot hot hot). You can tell they don't put much effort in quality. They literally rolled a piece of ham & cheese and stuffed it inside a big croissants for almost $6. Also picked up 2 sugar donuts. This is a ripoff. At the time of paying, he said it was $8.50 and my receipt said $8.94. I understand they have a 50 cent charge but something doesn't add up. I actually forgot I was wearing the tshirt at that moment but as I was driving home I realized it was probably that. Awesome fresh donuts! I got a maple donut there, just got off the line... and wow! Super soft dough, like luxuriously soft. A warm decadent center, and the maple frosting on top was perfectly executed with love. From the even dip to the harmonious maple flavor that lets your taste buds know, "Hey I'm here, but I won't over power you, and let you experience the taste of the dough I rest upon." I find at other doughnut establishments that sometimes the maple can taste too much like maple syrup or sometimes I can hardly recognize the difference between the maple bar and a glazed sugar bar. There is just not enough flavor. But here, the maple sticky goodness is at that perfect homogeneous mixture. The customer service... is fantastic. They had no maple bar presented forthright for my eyes to gander at and thus I was not sure if they had any in their back office inventory, aka the kitchen. But upon my request, they acquiesced. Then we ran into a problem, they don't take Apple Pay nor could I just give them my card number. Not normally a problem but just after loosing my wallet I had no other option for payment. And I was blessed by them with a "good faith" doughnut, with simply a request to pay them back later. A gesture of kindness not so often found in today's world, especially after the political divide and the media induced stress of the constant reminder of Covid all the time! But there it was. It reminded me of the episode from Mike Judge's classic American hit cartoon, "King of the Hill." In one particular episode the propane selling protagonist, Hank Hill, was going through a stressful time when his boss Buck Strickland, got a heart attack and let the new guy Vickers run the company instead of his right hand man Hank who had been there for 15 years. Hank in return was demeaningly told by Buck that his responsibilities were to "Feed his hounds." At this point in the show Hank needed to take a personal day in a time when people in Texas needed propane the most due to the recent snow storm that came in. But Hank needed to figure out what his life's purpose was all about after being betrayed by Buck like that. As well as, after finding out Buck has an electrical stove and all electric appliances, upon visiting his house to feed his hounds. A true juxtaposition after Buck told Hank all these years that propane is 'God's gas.' So off to the lake, Hank and his family went. On the way up he stopped at a Ma and Pa store to buy some charcoal and other groceries, something Hank would never do. -- As we find out in another episode he is mad at Peggy for cooking with charcoal because there is 'soot under his boys hands from it.' "You don't get that from a clean burning fuel!" To which Bobby replies, "you don't get the rich Smokey flavor either."-- Now that we established Hanks strange dichotomy, we are found back at the Ma and Pa store. And while paying for the groceries at the lake house's near by Ma and Pa store. The total is $21.67 and Hank only has a $20. He offers to go to the car and grab the extra money, but "Pa" says, "Oh that's fine, we don't care about a buck here or there, people before pennies I always say." Hank delightedly responds, "Thanks Mister, your good people." And that is exactly how I felt here. Needless to say I'm on my way to bank to go get the $20 to pay this fine doughnut establishment the $1.24 I owe them. So in conclusion, Ma came out of the back office and mocked Pa and told him, "I know why they call you Pa because your Pa-thetic." To which he responds, " and I know why they call you Ma, because your always riding Ma-ass." Hank didn't start a general store and went back to work to help the people. Buck fired Vickers and went back to his right hand man Hank. And you, yes you the reader of this novel, are going to go to this 'Mama's' doughnut store, and order up some of the best damn doughnuts your mouth ever did water for. And we all lived happily ever after. read more
