From the reviews, I was looking for a great experience. At best I would say. Eeeh. Shoe manufacturer said that this location was an authorized retailer. I went there and the woman at the counter, explained to me that they don't carry that brand and I was about to leave and she said to go see the salesman because he could help me with the boots that they did not stock from the company I was interested in When I went and spoke to the salesman. He looked at me like I had a third eye he said we don't carry boots why in the world with the woman at the counter have wasted my time and her salesman's time when she knew they didn't carry boots. Big store, never knew it was there. Greeted immediately, was asked my shoe size then was measured . Bought some socks because I needed them and the salesman brought me a couple options. I needed lots of cushioning for work because I walk and stand on hard floors. He brought the 1080 out in 3 colors because he said that would be my best choice. He slipped it on me and I walked around and it was super cushioned and it definitely is far better than the lower end New Balance they sell in the outlets. I am willing to pay for quality. I think the whole process took 10 minutes . I am hopeful my back will feel a lot better with these new shoes. Very nice store and the lady that checked me out was lovely too. read more

Today was a fun day. My grandson is turning 8 and he needed a pair of new shoes. Of course he has two younger brothers 6 and 2, so how can I not get them shoes too lol? So Dave and I and two of our friends met them at Synderman's shoe store in Ft. Myers. It's always the go to store for us, because you receive personal attention, as well as professional knowledge in fitting shoes. They also have lots of patience and are great with kids. So Joseph our salesman came to the rescue with several pairs for each child to try on. They really enjoyed having their feet sized, especially the two year old. My oldest knew exactly wanted he wanted. Bright colored shoes that look like they have flames on them. The 6 year old tried on three different pair and had to run around and test each one out. The baby made up his mind that blue was the color for him lol! Its my pleasure and joy to see each grandson so happy! ( I was kvelling lol!) Highly recommend this shoe store that is so much more than a shoe store. Fitting, and overall service, was professional, especially since I broke my right ankle almost 4 months ago. Finally being able to walk (off cast, mobility boot) in a shoe. The sales person, I believe his name was Bart, totally understood how to fit my injured, swollen foot and analyzed my walking gait for any signs of improper steadiness, gait, comfort. He brought out several brands of shoes for me to try. He told me to take my time and walk around the store to make sure they felt right. I was instructed by my Dr to go to Snyderman Shoes for diabetics, I waited 2months after turning in paperwork to get a phone call from Mr Snyderman telling me he needed more proof. I guess the original paperwork from Dr didn't suit him. I then needed to go back to my Dr, get a new note, pay for office visit, and perhaps please Mr Snyderman. Nice place, mom and I have going there for over 4 years now and always get Garry to help us, sadly he retired, so this time we were helped by another person who did not seem to be very enthusiastic about helping us. When I was trying to help my mom on making a decision, he commented on how "mean" I was, I literally felt like he did not want to show us more shoes to pick from. I have been in pain and trying to recover from an ankle injury. I could not find any shoes that would work with my lace up brace. My mom suggested that I go to Snyderman's. From the minute I walked in, it was a great experience! The salesman who helped me was very knowledgeable and caring. This is the first time that I went to a store where they insisted upon measuring feet. I'm so glad they did because I now have a perfectly fitting shoe. Coming to this store for a new pair of running shoes has definitely become a yearly event for me. I live in Denver, CO, and my parents live in Ft. Myers. When I'm down here around Christmas time, I'm always up for a new pair! The employees are always friendly and knowledgable. You come in, let them know what sport you're into, how seriously you're into it (i.e. marathons, half marathons, casual exercise, golf, walking, etc), and they bring as many shoes to you to try on as needed until you're set! Today was an exceptionally busy day at the store (the day after X-mas....), and due to our 10 minute wait for service, we received a discount at the end! There is a wide selection of shoes/brands, with a heavy New Balance presence. However today I am officially a convert to Brooks, I suggest you give them a try if you're a runner! They also have a variety of widths which as someone with slightly wider feet...I appreciate. FYI - There is also a medium-sized selection of activewear. I found them while trying to locate a local retailer of Vibram Five Fingers shoes & I was greatly pleased. Dan knew all about the different styles, loves and owns the shoes himself. He was able to answer all of my questions and genuinely liked the product. He helped find the perfect fit for both pair I bought. My mother has been having horrible foot pain with pins and needles. Due to this she has had to give up taking long walks as well as biking. We went to Snydermans today and were helped by Joseph. He was wonderful, very knowledgeable and patient. He spent a long time with my mother and we were able to buy a pair of sneakers and sandals that hopefully will help. We went for a short walk tonight with the sneakers and we are happy to report there were no pins and needles noted when she returned. My first review was less than stellar. I went back today to pick up my new diabetic shoes. Rick Snyderman was very accommodating and professional and went out of his way to ensure I got the shoes that would work the best for me. He went over all of the paperwork with me and explained what I needed to know in changing inserts and shoe care. My experience this time was far, far better than my first visit. He assured me that he would address my concerns re my first visit. I was still able to catch my ride even though I was late (not my fault), so he was efficient and conscientious of my time. Prices are typically comparable to what you would pay on amazon or direct from the shoe manufacturers. As great as the service is here I'd be willing to pay extra to make sure they are still around for years to come. Not a happy customer I was specifically told I could go home wear my shoes if they hurt my feet or I was not happy with them I could bring them back. He even told me I could wear them outside, which I did not do. They were worn one hour on the treadmill. I went to the store today to return them I was told no refund but I could exchange. I explained I had specifically been told I could return them. I feel like this is a very deceptive business practice and will never purchase anything from them again. I love the brand Stride Rite, and used to be a customer of their outlet store in Miromar, but since they closed I´ve been shopping them from Snyderman Shoes. They have very helpful staff who measure the foot, and help you find the right shoe. Best store ever! I have been taking my Father to see Rick Snyderman for his diabetic shoes for years now. Not only do they schedule us on a Saturday, to accommodate my work schedule, but the amount of paperwork and red tape he has to go through to fit my father is amazing. I've been getting all of my running shoes from Snyderman since arriving in SWFL 15 years ago. For the first time ever, a new pair of shoes I purchased there turned out to be defective. It was several weeks before I could make it to the shop, but the staff took one look and ordered me a new pair on the spot. I'm not sure another store would have done the same. While I was trying the new pair on, I overheard a staffer on the phone with a customer who may have had some mobility issues. Snyderman Shoes is the only shoe store that has properly fit me over the years. I have a very narrow foot and Jerry, Booby and Rick and their team have always put me in the correct shoe. Their New Balance fitting is amazing and they always have the latest models. The value they provide to their customers is second to none. We are from NJ and have a place in Fort Myers. Family owned place-SUPER attentive staff. They request you ask for an associate to help with trying on and they really will be very patient and bend over backwards to get you what you want in the right fit. Had tons of answers and patience for helping me find the right 5 finger shoe. I think if you have some sort of medical or physical issue with your feet I really think this place would be the way to go. (I noticed they have a wall of diabetics shoes). Help was friendly and attentive and prices were competitive. Only thing stopping me from five star is that they could probably have a larger selection but I do suspect they would probably special order for you what they do not have. read more

I purchased a pair of Vionic orthopedic sandals from Snyderman shoes Fort Myers in February 2017 for $120. That is a lot of money for sandals and I expected them to last for years. I do not wear them a lot but the velcro on two of the straps went bad so I could not wear them. I called Snyderman and I was told they were out of warranty and I should call Vionic, they did nothing. I called vionic and they said they could do nothing. I have shoes I have worn for 10 years that are still in perfect condition. These sandals are useless, I wasted $120. I feel it is a defective product and they expected me to go to shoe repair shop and pay for repairs. They would not reimburse me. I feel I should get a full refund. I had two pair of deck shoes for 5 years and the soles were going bad and the manufacturer paid for the repairs. That is customer service. I would never buy vionic again and would never recommend vionic. read more
