I just happened to walk in right behind 3 people, and two more people were in the salon ahead of them, waiting to be seen. There was only one employee who had her hands full with thread, a phone and someone's face. There is a sign up sheet to keep the order of customers who come in, and the services they want, so I was dismayed that the 3 people who got there ahead of me just shy of a minute were signed up for some heavy duty waxing services. I really wanted to get home, but I had a Zoom conference in the morning that I did not want my eyebrows to be the star of, due to their size and disheveled state, so I patiently on the outside but screaming at every passing minute on the inside decided to wait. It was worth it. Salima was so good at managing her time in between her customers, and treating every one of them with care and congeniality. When it was my turn to do my brows, even though there were a few more people waiting and it was getting close to closing time, she did not rush or cut corners (just my brows. hah!) and gave me her full, undivided attention. The thread that she uses is very thin, which makes for an easier threading experience and is more precise at getting those tougher to reach baby hairs. She made sure they were smooth and polished before I left, going over them a few times to catch anything she may have potentially missed. I loved my experience with Salima, and will definitely take the time to drive out a little further and pay a little more for this experience. Side note: If you are getting anything waxed that you don't want the rest of the salon to know about, I suggest you go when it is not busy. Us Indians aren't exactly known for our subtlety, and the acoustics in the salon are so that I found out some very interesting details about someone's Brazilian that I could have done without hearing.

I overheard that several employees were on summer vacation, but you never would have known it from the service. Between the massage, hot stones, hot wax treatment, and the attention to detail, it felt like a mini spa day. My feet feel amazing. I've been coming here since I moved to the area, usually about once a year, but I think that's about to change. The manager went ahead and prepped me for my nail techs (Felix and Tory) by gently taking off my previous polish. I was asked to validate my parking and then gifted my complimentary choice of wine (a Merlot). Felix was my pedicure tech and a dream to have working on my feet. I chose the very basic express pedicure as I had another time commitment, but WOW his attention to detail, gentle yet firm hands, and warm personality were exactly what I needed that day. He was very willing to talk like we were old friends (his words!) and personally I loved that. I truly felt pampered, not handled as I have previously felt at nail salons. Tory was a bit quieter but honey that lady can do manicurist magic on natural nails. She kept commenting on how excellent my nail health/length was and was excited to work on them even though my service was technically no frills... shoutout to my gma and those genetics though! What I appreciated the most was the attention to detail, precision, and gentleness that I experienced here. No yanking, no bleeding, no overly trimmed cuticles, no rushing. From start to finish it was 1.5 hours which is very fair. My subtotal was between $85-$90 but be mindful that this price included a 15% first-timer discount. From 12:47 pm to 1:00 pm, she went to the front desk and then disappeared. At 1:01 pm, I got up and left. I don't understand why I was treated this way. You're not doing me a favor by servicing me. She could have simply said, "Hey, we're booked today, but you can schedule an appointment for another day." That would have been fine. However, having me come in and almost ignore me and act like you're annoyed that I'm there is insane. Salim, please hire technicians who want to work and properly represent your company, even when you're away. An employee's tenure and "friendship" to you can easily cost you everything you've worked hard for.
