Always my go to! The service is great, scheduling is super easy and flexible, and the ambiance is great. I love quaint, boutique style nail salons versus the "traditional retail" spots. I love the location in W Village; the parking is free and there are plenty of places to eat and relax before or after your services. MJ, Jeanine, and Tracey have ALL done a great job on my manicures and pedicures. The price is reasonable too especially with the better quality selection of nail polishes, gel and regular, they offer. Terrible, would not recommend. I walked into the nail salon around 10:50 am, hoping to get my brows threaded, a soak off, and a gel manicure. The nail technician informed me that she had an appointment but could thread my brows immediately. I could then return at 12:30 pm for my nail services. I arrived at 12:30 pm and stood at the front desk while the technician assisted a customer on the phone for about five minutes. After she hung up, she asked me to choose a color, which took only five seconds. I went to a chair and waited for another ten minutes while she chatted with a colleague about non work related topics, showing each other pictures on their phones. I was genuinely confused. At one point, I convinced myself that she wasn't going to do my nails and that I might be waiting on another technician. At 12:47 pm, she called me over and brought the empty soak bowls to my chair. From 12:47 pm to 1:00 pm, she went to the front desk and then disappeared. At 1:01 pm, I got up and left. I don't understand why I was treated this way. You're not doing me a favor by servicing me. She could have simply said, "Hey, we're booked today, but you can schedule an appointment for another day." That would have been fine. However, having me come in and almost ignore me and act like you're annoyed that I'm there is insane. Salim, please hire technicians who want to work and properly represent your company, even when you're away. An employee's tenure and "friendship" to you can easily cost you everything you've worked hard for. read more

I began unimpressed. I booked a 2:45 appointment because I had a special event that night and didn't want to wait too long as a walk in....and yet, I sat there waiting until 3:15. What's the point of making an appointment?! I know they take walk ins etc but I took in my surroundings and found it strange that the nail technicians switch from person to person throughout a single visit. But they all seem to have regulars and customers they know by name, so I assumed Saturday's were just busy busy and didn't let the late start bother me too much. I dragged my husband to Polished to get his first pedicure (plus it was a great excuse to get a pedicure myself ) The decor is super posh and it gives it a very cozy, yet swanky vibe. I got a standard pedicure ($25), as well as an eyebrow ($12) and lip wax ($8). The pricing is slightly more than some other salons I've been to, but not completely out of the ballpark. The staff was super friendly and social with us both which was a refreshing change, plus I think they all did a great job with our services. My only cons here: -their seating setup is a bit different, as they don't have the massage chairs and whirlpool spa for your feet like most salons do. Was it a deal breaker? Not really, but I do think it adds to the overall spa feel of what a mani/pedi is all about. -the amount of packages they offer is really low, and they're a little off the grid. One was a chocolate pedicure, which I wasn't exactly feeling. What happened to packages with extra massages, callus remover, hot towel wraps, etc? I informed her it was a few days out and mid sentence, she interrupted asking to put me on hold. I sat on hold and then they hung up. I'm a new regular of Polished so I can finally give a thorough review. Appointments - I would recommend that you always make an appointment. I'm usually started on right when I arrive but I wasn't seated until 4:30pm today for my 4:00pm appointment. However the tech did greet me with a smile, apology & offered me a mimosa. Cleanliness - Very clean. The table tops are always spotless as well as the floor & pedicure area. I've never had an issue with the tools used either, as they're always sanitized. Customer Service - They're a fun & friendly gang! Some days are more quiet than others but I always get friendly service during my visits. My favorites are Jennifer, the manager & the guy with the funky hair. :) My techs are always very gentle & make sure I'm well taken care of! Services - Manis, pedis, waxing, threading, acrylic & gel nails. I don't think I missed anything. A full list can be found on their website. Prices are a little more than most places but you get what you pay for. They have a large variety of regular polishes & gel polishes. Oh & I can't forget - mimosas on Sundays. :) Hours - My only con is that they're not open on Mondays, but they are open until 6:00pm on Sundays so that makes up. Overall - I love this place! As a new resident of the area I'm still trying to figure out where to go to get pampered. I found Polished on Yelp so I figured I give this place a try. When I walked into the salon I noticed that this salon has a boutique like feel. The color scheme is teal and pink reflected throughout the entire salon. The front sitting area has two oversized teal chairs sitting in front of a pink paisley wallpaper with a large pink cushion table. On top of the cushion table are magazines for waiting customers to read. In front of the sitting area is eight manicure tables. The tables are basic white square tables with clear acrylic chairs for customers with decorative cushions and white rolling chairs for the nail artists. The pedicure area is a long bench that lines the left side wall. *Eyebrows: ($12.00) I waited for approximately 15 minutes before one of the employees called me over to the back right chairs. The employee was very polite and helpful cleaning my brows up. She used a different wooden stick each time she dipped into the wax. After she finished cleaning up my brows she took a pair of eyebrow scissors to cut down my eyebrow length, and before I left she cleaned my eyebrows with aloe. When everything was finished I was delighted. I looked like a normal person again! Overall the salon deserves a C+. The prices for services are relatively decent in comparison to salons around the area and the employees were polite. Pitfalls, although the salon was nice the store could use a little TLC, many of the white pieces of furniture could use a repainting and cleaning and the waxing area felt highly exposed (the chairs were in the center of the salon in front of other customers). read more

I've visited this nail salon on multiple occasions since living in Smyrna the past 6 years. The first time my manicure was sloppy and not painted to the edge. I attempted again months later when my preferred nail person went on vacation. again, the service was sub-par. The pedicure was rushed and a second person had to touch up some of the paint. Lastly, when given I gift certificate there I went again. The technicians were not pleasant. The furniture does not live up the the pictures as the chairs and cushions are worn and should be replaced. This is a super cute salon. The bonus for me is they are open on Sundays. Sometimes I just can't get to the salon after work and Saturday's are extremely busy. I received a pedicure from a very sweet lady who told me so much about my feet! I asked her how does she know so much and turns out she works at a podiatrist office as well. She told me about different remedies to use and gave me the best foot and calf massage. My SNS manicure was good too. The lady who did my nails was very sweet and provided great service. This place is very pretty and clean, very open and bright. I love that they aren't packed with stations and that there is a very good selection of nail polish. Luckily a co-worker suggested Polished Beauty Lounge to me. I already knew ahead of time that I would probably need an appointment based on what my co-worker said. Once we ( my fiancé and I) arrived , we were greeted and told to have a seat while our nail techs were getting ready for us. We scheduled manicures and pedicures and we loved the experience and have been coming back for almost 6 months now. Each time, I am greeted and treated with the same warmth and professionalism as the first visit. I always always book my appointments with Christina or Christie. Both of them have such a high attention to detail and make sure my nails are flawless! They both work only on weekends so that's the only drawback, if I had to say. The salon's decor is very chic as the colors are pink, pale blue, and white. They have a large assortment of nail polish colors so finding something you like wont be a problem. After each service is rendered, you will see a girl sanitize the station in preparation for the next client. As well as sanitized tools used for each client. This is a necessity and I was glad to see it. I called and got a same day appointment on a Saturday. They were ready for me when I arrived. Service was prompt and great. My pedicurist even told me that she wouldn't recommend me adding on the $8 callus remover treatment. She didn't think I need it. At the time of this review it has been a full 7 days and my toenail polish has not chipped. The shop is very well lit and very clean. While it was my 1st time in Polished, I could tell most of the other patrons were regulars based on the personal conversations being had. Yes I was eavesdropping. I shall keep short, an to the point: getting an appointment was not all that hard over the phone, but when I walked in I was promptly greeted by someone on the floor while the person behind the desk was on the phone. Certainly, I understand scheduling at the front desk over the phone is important and can appreciate the aid of a fellow staff member upon entry of a customer. However, when I stated my name and time, they both leaned in, took a glance at the sheet and the lady from the floor walked back without another word to me, while the woman on the phone left me standing there at the counter. I sat, with lack of better to do for a few moments, to notice others that came in were warmly greeted and told to pick out a polish and have a seat. After considering my wording carefully, not wanting to sound agitated by it but wanting to be heard and clear with what I was to do, the lady at the counter gave off an impatient vibe in her tone, telling me ''I haven't forgotten about you, just have a seat and we will be right with you. Yeah, go ahead and pick your nail polish.'' A simple '' Oh excuse me, we're a little busy but we will be right with you'' would have been just fine, but her tone was not really appreciated and this is where I started to feel a bit unwelcome, ignored, and belittled by her choice of words and tone. I feel that unless you are a regular in for a pamper on a typical basis, you won't get much recognition here, even using the most appropriate choice of words with this staff. It does not seem the value of a new customer and the spread of good word is very important here. I would only recommend it for the ''pretty environment'', but that is about it. Maybe the fair pricing at the expense of poor customer service. Customer service was rather poor because of this, though was offered water I do not feel comfortable coming back or telling my friends to. My experience at Polished Beauty Lounge today has brought me out of the shadows as a Yelp "Lurker" to finally contribute a review. Sorry it's a bad one. After 3 attempts to redeem my "summer mani/pedi" Living Social Deal, I finally scored an appointment at Polished. It was set for 12:30 today - or so I was told last week when I called to schedule the appointment. I got there today a little early at 12:15. There was no formal receptionist so the first of three nail techs came over to check me in after I stood at the receiving counter for a couple minutes. The place was packed BTW. She looked at the book for my name and appointment and said okay, choose your color, someone will be right with you. As I perused the color options, a second tech came over to "check me in." She looked at the book and said oh, we had you down for 1:00 will that work.. I said, sorry but it won't. She left saying someone would be right with me. I waited about 10-15 minutes before going back to the counter for clarification. Then the third tech (who may be the manager, team leader or even the owner) came over. I asked when I'd be seen and what time they actually had me scheduled for.... so this must have been code red for her... She FLIPPED OUT. She goes, "we are like any other salon, give us 10 minutes or so." I'm like whoa lady, I'm just trying to see if I can stay or not. She goes, well, we actually have you down for 12:45 and there's no way anyone told you that your appointment would be at 12:30. Now, you can have a seat and wait for us to get to you. I can't explain my disbelief in what I was hearing. Mouth wide open... I asked for her name and I bet she lied...saying it was "Emily." She goes...I don't care, go and blog about me all you want. (At this I had to laugh...obviously not the first time for her.) Anyway...long story short, after all of this, I left, called Living Social to report the problem and got a refund. I'll stick to SugarCoat or Posh Spot for my mani/pedis. My advice... Don't Go Here. If you already bought the Living Social Deal, don't tell them about the voucher...maybe they will treat you nicer? read more

I cannot comment on their services because they have yet to accomodate me to get my services done! I haven't been able to use my Gift Certificate which was given to me because these people are the worse at answering their telephones. I have called for a week and left messages, they never answered. I happened to have stopped in the retail center for lunch and noticed they were in the same plaza by accident. I walked in and the employee finally stood up to come talk to me. i explained how I had left 3 messages for them to make the appointment and never got a reply. she answered "Sorry, WE ARE VERY BUSY". Then gave me an appt. for the following week the Tuesday after Memorial. I was called Saturday to tell me they wouldn't be opening until after 12:00 on Tuesday (Why, I don't know/care but they should have known this before making my appt) and they rescheduled me to a time I was not free. Of course, I called them back and what? No F***ing answer of course. 2 messages later, here I am giving a review about a place I haven't been to for poortastic customer service. If and WHEN I finally get to use my certificate for services, I surely would be a one hit wonder...the only reason I am bothering is that this is already paid for and do not want to waste it. read more

A truly lovely spot, and a nice step in between the divey nail shops and the upscale spa/salons that'll cost you an arm and a leg. The whole space is crisp white with fun blue and pink accents; all very modern and calming. All of the services are presented a la carte, so you can easily pick and choose what you want with the pricing being up front. I really really appreciated this, as I have been victim to many a paid upgrade in my day without knowing I was actually paying for it. They've got three different "levels" of your mani/pedis and then you can add in things like paraffin and hot stone massage for an additional charge. They also offer both threading and waxing. I opted for solely a manicure this time around, seeing as my feet won't be seen till next spring. They had a good selection of colors (both OPI and Essie). My manicure was quite pleasant, with a really great scrub and lots of TLC. They also guarantee against chipping here: 3 days for manicures, 7 for pedicures. I had never seen that before and left with great confidence that my nails will stay in tip top shape for quite some time. The staff was incredibly pleasant and friendly, and if this spot weren't so far away from me I'd assuredly be a regular. Definitely worth stopping in for a little self-indulgence. read more

On day three and looking great despite gardening , packing , and cleaning chores. Also received a no nonsense color change on my toes - Anita did a great job on both, was super friendly and made sure I was happy with the end results . This was my second time at polished. Let me start by saying, I am more than disappointed, given that this place was highly recommended by a reliable source. But, after reading several other reviews, I recognize the pattern ... very poor appreciation of and customer service for NEW clients. The regulars seem to get warm greetings and engaging conversation. But as a first-timer, I barely got a "hello." The poor customer service started when I walked in earlier this afternoon to schedule an appointment. The young lady (Pinky) who "helped" me barely spoke, was very monotone, did NOT smile at all, and could not have been less enthusiastic and/or engaging if she'd actually tried. However, I chalked it up to a bad moment. I was wrong, it's more of a culture! Although I only got a polish change, which I felt was a safe and inexpensive try-out, I went through the ENTIRE let's call it a 12-minute service without an introduction - didn't tell me her name (Solam - not sure about the spelling) and didn't ask mine, a welcome to the salon, or ANY form of engagement or conversation. She asked for my polish and my shoes - nothing more. When she finished, she extended the offer to stay seated while my nails dried, but walked away and never returned - no offer of refreshments - even water - or anything! She didn't even bother to ask if I was pleased with my service. After sitting ignored for an additional 10 minutes, I decided to take my chances with the wet nails and remove myself from this cute but cliquey environment. Finally, a smile! The very nice and personable young lady (Jovaline) who checked me out, greeted me with a smile, recognized me as a new customer, welcomed and thanked me for coming in, and apologized when she realized with was displeased with my service. Ironically, I asked another patron if she was a regular, she said she'd been more than once, but wouldn't qualify as a regular. I asked how she'd describe her experience, and I briefly shared mine. She agree that not all clients are acknowledged, treated and valued equally. She also stated that she's been tempted to walk out on several occasions. Her repeat business is obviously the result of convenience and having "found the right one," who happens to be the same young lady who was polite to me. So, if you're looking for cute ... this is your place. If you're ok with cliquey, and possibly being ignored - unless you're part of the clique ... this is your place. And, if this place is convenient and you really want to make it work ... ONLY see Jovaline. If you're looking for an overall relaxing and welcoming environment, find another salon. Very pretty salon and has OPI and Essie products but the staff members are rude! I had two different nail techs work on my pedicure and manicure. Both were very short in their services and I felt very rush. My pedicure consisted of cleaning my feet and filed then paint and a quick lotion rub down. When I went to get my manicure, all she did was put my hands in some soapy water and then filed them. Come on, at least the other salons put some heat pads and then massage your hands! So after my poor "manicure", I got the gel polish put on. The tech said jokingly but with an attitude," now I will be mad if you mess your polish on." and that's why she got a $1 tip. Needless to say, don't get caught up in the cutesy layout because their attitudes will definitely change your mood!! They charge premium prices but low grade services! read more

It pains me to give this place only 3 stars because I absolutely love it for its cleanliness, layout and decent prices. Very cute and bright space with friendly ladies. However, given that it's a little more than your dime a dozen nail spot, the services were too short for the money. I took my 9 year old goddaughter to get the "princess" pedi/mani while I got their "Barefoot at the Beach" pedicure which included a papaya sugar scrub and a mask complete with the hot towels. I was supposed to get an eyebrow threading as well but when I made the appointment, they failed to tell me that the person who does the threading is only in on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I was making our appointments for Sunday. Thanks. The services themselves were a delight but as I stated earlier, too short. It almost seemed like it was being done in a hurry. I've had many a pedicure at various places and I've never been done in about 30 minutes. The mask and towels seemed to be on for all of 3-4 minutes. With it being their most expensive pedicure service, I expected a bit more time and attention. Not that my feet need a chainsaw to them...you just want a chance to enjoy it. But this is not enough to keep me away. I will try to go to get that threading done this Thursday - which happens to be their "martini" night! Almost anything can be forgiven with a free drink. The decor is cute and the staff was friendly but a lot of people in my party of 5 were not satisfied with some of their services. 1. The customer service I rec'd at the front desk was nonexistent since the owner/manager never spoke to me. She kept a angry look on her face and rude attitude the whole time I was there (about 3hrs). I followed the lead of a friend who was in my party. I felt that my money and I were not appreciated. 2. I was left to dry at one of the manicure tables and no one ever came back to see if I was dry or ask if I was OK. I guess it was because I had already paid.
