Under new ownership as of October 31, 2024. Found this nail salon after my usual nail salon was basically closed due to a power outage in the area. Rico Nail was open, not packed and had power! That's all that I needed to try it. Met the new and really nice owners. They just purchased the location and opened at the end of October. It's only the two of them for now...so call ahead to book an appointment and save 10%. Maria did SNS on my nails. She did a really good job!! The square round shape can look funny, depending on who does them. But I really liked the shape, her technique and the overall experience. The other owner, Maria's fiancé, did my feet. I got the Vocanol Pedicure for $57. I thoroughly enjoyed the pedicure. Let's start with the massage! He used the right amount of pressure, rubbing and kneading! The massage was just what I needed. The Vocanol also comes with a hot rock massage and paraffin wax. The hot rock massage was good; I don't I'm a fan of hot rocks...even with back massages. The paraffin wax at the end of the pedicure was great!!! It was an overall GREAT pedicure and worth the money...and he took his time!!! I will definitely be back!! read more

Nope! Wouldn't go back! This is a fairly new shop to my understanding. I went in for a simple basic pedicure. There was a black woman who did my pedicure. She asked me if I wanted a gel pedicure, I said no. She proceeded to do my pedicure with gel nail polish anyway.I had to stop her. She then tried to paint over the gel nail polish instead of removing it. I asked her to remove it because #1 I did not ask for gel and# 2 it looked terrible. After removing the gel polish and painting with regular polish I had to instruct her on the errors and ask her to fix each toe because she didn't plan on correcting her mistakes. I don't plan on going back here. Wasn't worth the time or money! I was in the shop for well over an hour for a simple pedicure and they were NOT busy. read more

I'm so happy I wanted because she's hilarious and an absolute beast when it comes to nails. Side note: I always find it funny when customers get mad for waiting 10/20 minutes to get their nails done. The world doesn't revolve around you sweetie (slight shade) That being said, Nina went above and beyond and efficaciously went between clients and optimized time to get us all done while doing an amazing job. To start I will say my nails turned out phenomenal. I am a routine manicurist type of girl looking for a new nail salon which is what led me here. I had a style in mind and Dana delivered! She did an amazing job, and I absolutely love my nails. However, I HAVE to talk about my experience because it has led me to never step foot in this joint again: Luxor nails is located in a small shopping center around the TJ Maxx/Ross/Ulta plaza, right next to the Taco Bell. If you know the area, it's that small street that should lead to the next street but leads to a dead-end. It's a very weird area. The plaza has some parking but I think I was lucky to have found a spot as it is very very tiny. One side of the salon is lined with about 8-10 pedicure chairs and the other with about 7 manicure tables and they looked about 80% full, but I was still greeted immediately, and sat down to start soaking my nails. to my dismay, they had me soaking my nails in A COMMUNAL SPONGE BATH of acetone. This was the most disgusting occurrence to ever happen to me in a nail salon. The container was filled with black acetone and a deteriorating sponge that had clearly been used for a minimum of 4 months. I sat with my nails in that septic tank for almost 45 minutes before someone came back to me. Eventually Dana did start working on my nails, and we started the process. SNS has a lot of steps and it does take time to do correctly, and I came prepared to sit for my usual 1.5 hours. Luxor is clearly a family run business, and they tend to their family first. They had two little girls that asked for a lot of attention and the nail technicians had no problem leaving their customer to attend to their family. This is both applausable and annoying. My entire experience took about 3 hours. They say SNS is $35, but I was charged an extra $5 to remove the old, and an additional $5 for coffin shape even though my nails were already coffin shape. Anyway, you'll get your nails done but this is not a place to come kick back and relax. read more

I arrived around 4 almost 5pm to get a full set and full set pedi... I was there till 9! I felt welcomed and at home. Was called pretty a couple times anyway, Rico took a while to get done with my pedi (we had a great convo and he had me laughing) he was also a bit rough with the nail filing and with the foot exfoliator. Over all toes look amazing! I moved to the desk and I absolutely loved how he shaped my nails! Unfortunately, I didn't like the acrylic shape on top. It looks like a bubble near the cuticle and it gets flat by the tip of the nail. My full set was $60 (regular price) my toes were $70 (never paid that in my life regardless of having acrylic on my toes!) $130 for everything... I like it but not worth the price. I will never do business with Luxor Nails ever again. I raved about this place to my co-worker but I regret that I did. I just got my nails done the other day and I have 4 CRACKED nails already. 1 of the 4 nails is BLEEDING. I am so irate at this moment and I had to change my review immediately. SNS is NOT supposed to crack or break so easily. I already went back once because the nail tech didn't put on a thick enough clear gel coat on top of the SNS powder. My nails felt so FLIMSY! The tech put an extra gel coat that ended up peeling off anyway. I took matters into my own hands and decided to put clear polish over it. I refuse to go back a SECOND time for them to waste my time AGAIN. In my experience of getting SNS I have never had this happen before. My nails will last d*mn near a month but these nails haven't lasted me a week. I don't know what kind of CHEAP supplies they use but I am truly truly disgusted with the quality of my nails. The first time I got my nails done here I had a great experience with the owner. I absolutely loved my nails! However this last experience is well below par. The guy who did my nails was very entertaining and nice but I don't think he cares too much about doing people's nails. #################################### 1 HOUR later from updating my review another nail breaks. First time ever being in this lovely nail salon! I had a bad experience yesterday at French nail and spa in mableton and desperately needed a fill in and repair done on my nails. My husband walked next door to the vape shop in the same strip mall while me and our little girl went here. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked what services I needed done. I had told them that I'd like to get a fill in and have my little girls nails painted. As soon as I said that, I was then seated and waited less than 5 minutes. I never got the name of the nail tech who did my nails but man!! She was super awesome, fell in love with my little girl, very professional and kind. Never have I ever been into a salon, had fast friendly service and a glass of wine! That was a first and an amazing experience I've ever had and I highly recommend this lovely establishment to any and everyone. I tried Luxor for the first time because of some of the great pictures on the reviews. I got a new set of the colored powder over tips. $70 later, I left with a set not close to their picture (catfished?) & with cut damage to my cuticles on both hands, because of the filling. When I asked the tech about it, she just said it's because her buffer was new & sharp. OK- no big deal I think. I'll just go to someone more careful in a couple weeks. But, within one day, my left thumb broke in half, and then the nail on my right hand middle finger, the next day. In spite of already spending a lot of time on a not-so-great set, i went back on the third day to fix this mess. When I asked the same tech about the breaking (which I've never had before in years of getting my nails done), she said it's because I asked for my nails to be thin. I said no I didn't ask for any specific thickness. She said well the picture you showed me were thin nails... really? So I got the repairs with no charge, but also with no care and no filing or shaping the 'fix'. I left with two new malformed block-like shapes for nails. They were laughable... The fourth day another one of the original tips broke in half (thumb finger right hand), And I see cracks in two others. I didn't even make it to a week-what a waste! I'll never go back!! read more

I've came to Luxor nails a few times now and was always very pleased with my nails. I came in again in March as I was heading off to LA and wanted some very specific nails. I asked Nina is she would be able to do them as she was the one who sat me down. She said she could do that and got started. She then offered I get something different an ombré pink and white.... I agreed even though I had ALREADY asked for what I wanted. Mind you price was not an issue. I knew the nails I wanted would be pricey but I wasn't told how much my nail tech simply kept implying I should do something different. Later she got up and handed me some lotus decals for my nails stating "these would look so cute with that ombré" again I agreed only Bc I felt weird and awkward that I had asked for a specific nail, was told it could be done only to find out that my nail tech wasn't up for the job.... it was rlly disappointing and I haven't came back since then because I still got charge $75 for nails I didn't like or want. In addition, I asked for coffin shaped nails and got bulky squared ones. I tipped well regardless but made a note to never come back to this salon. Idk what happened their customer service used to be amazing but it's gone down the drain with their rising popularity... Also they never clean your cuticle or the sides of your nails... idk what they're charging so much for when My hands still come out looking dry and undone.... save ur coin. Look into other places. Just moved from Florida and trying to find a good nail place. I have been getting my nails done for over 25 years. 1st time I have ever been charged for repair and it was their mistake. Very rude, place is old and dirty. Beware! I stand by my review especially after response from salon. My nail lifted, sign of improper work. However, even if I caused it, $5 for a repair and tech was on phone, rude and no greeting when I came in. Also, both times there , no other customer there. The job I have doesn't allow for much creativity with my nails but she always manages to make them pop. If you are looking for a great Nail shop this is the one, Her mom and dad are awesome. She knew from the moment I care in I was going to a wedding and not even that but regardless I paid money that I work for to receive a service and it wasn't what I was supposed to receive but most people know that nail shops don't refund you and they just kinda want you to accept it. I came in to get my nails done and less than 10 days later I'm having to look for a nail place after getting gel acrylics put on, which isn't even what I asked for. I had asked for just gel with tips which I was told would be $30 over the phone. The only reason I am leaving a review at all, because if I don't like a place I generally just won't go back, is because they asked me to multiple times throughout the visit. I thought my nails looked alright as I left, so I thought I would take a cute picture and go home that night and leave a short review. That's when I noticed the chip. I had gotten my nails done around 7 pm and by 11 pm I had a giant chip in my thumb. There is no reason me picking up my boyfriend, grabbing food, and watching Netflix would cause a chip. I lived with it for the next 2 days and on my day off I came back and got it fixed. When I went in I wasn't able to talk to the tech that had done my nails but the chip was immediately fixed. I wish I had just asked them to take them off for me. My nails had horrible ridges around the edges which I am now just living with until I have time to take them off. Very embarrassing to be walking around and talking to clients with nasty looking nails after spending $45 on something I didn't even ask for. Update: I came in to get my nails taken off after they've fallen apart less than 2 weeks after getting my nails done and was told that "that's just what nails do" in my past experience getting my nails done I didn't have ridges in my nails or lifting after a week. I am appalled at the customer service and the way they handled this situation when I came in just to get my nails taken off because the job that was done in my nails was poorly executed to begin with. read more

When I got there, they acknowledged me but didn't tell me when they could do my nails. They just kept working. About 20 minutes later, I asked when they could get to my 7:00 appt.
