Last Saturday I had a celebration of life for my husband who was a classic car fanatic. When I first found SoCal classic car storage and met the owner, Dean and his son, Jay, I knew that this was going to be the perfect place to honor my husband. From the get-go, Dean saw my vision and made the entire process so easy. He had recommendations for caterers, bartenders and assured they would help me every step along the way as I was coming 500 miles to host 75 people that day. They took care of ordering the linens and by the time I arrived Saturday they had all of the tables in place and everything ready to go. A couple of catering hiccups occurred, and both Dean and Jay to make sure that I didn't find out about this so as not to upset me. They could have just said. Oops. But no, Jay went out and got ice because the bartender was two hours late and they did everything they could to get people fed and make sure the day was a success. They helped with packing up and were so gracious and accommodating this entire process. I cannot think of a better place to say farewell to my husband and could not ask for better service. The space definitely yields itself to events. With a finished entry and lobby with seating, we didn't have to do much of anything to decorate these spaces. We worked together to configure a layout (in the car gallery) that would work for our event. They even made sure to curate the cars on display to reflect our event theme, Grease. For starters, this is a review of their sales practices as they just recently sold a car for me...in one day. I've known these guys since before they started this business and have become good friends with them. So much so in fact that I did not want to ruin a good friendship by doing business with them. So I decided to go it alone when trying to sell my cobra and got meager results on ebay. After a month, I decided to let them handle it. It sold in a day and for $10K more. Sure they took their cut but I netted over $7500 more than I would have. After seeing how they photographed the car and the description they wrote up it was no wonder. These guys are masters at this process and and it was so easy as they handled the sales process and customer for me. As for the facility, the storage area Dean has set up is amazing.
