    Bulgogi

I saw bulgogi on the menu and absolutely had to give it a try! Was not disappointed! Great flavor, a good portion served with rice and kimchi. The gentleman was super friendly as he took our order and it took no time for the food to come out. If you like bulgogi then you have to try the food here! There were so many options I had a hard time choosing and can't wait to go back and try some other things on the menu!

The food was delicious!!! If you dislike mussels, please get something else. It was brimming with mussels, and I relished every bite. By the way, it's in the HMart food court.

Atmosphere: So Gong Dong is a Korean restaurant stand in the food court at Hmart. There is a decent amount of seating in the food court, but it can often be hard to find a place to sit, especially during the lunch rush. Service: Our food came out at a reasonable time, and we picked it up at the counter. Food: We ordered the Seafood and Beef Soondooboojjige. We ordered it spicy but were disappointed with the level of flavor and spiciness in our dish, as it was more salty than spicy. The seafood and beef inside was limited but tasty. This wasn't the best Soft Tofu Stew we've had, but it was a decent option. Overall: So Gong Dong offers a reasonable bowl of Soft Tofu Stew and can make for a good post-shopping meal. Again, the food was not spectacular, but we'd recommend giving their other menu items a shot.

GET THE BEEF SHORT RIBS! You won't regret it. I always get bibimbap when I'm here and I'll always love that but their beef ribs are outstanding. I can't even describe the taste because they are perfectly cooked and sauced. When it comes to red meat I'm very picky and do not like a lot but this is worth every penny! It's about $20.99 for the plate attached below.

Lots of different options, my favorite was the different pork bellies and the LA Galbi was great as well. Also really enjoyed the little side dishes (반찬). I really love the interior, they seem to have a good ventilation system for each table with a grill, there's a bar and the tables are fairly huge. Not super loud either, each table is spaced apart thoughtfully. Now, I have to praise the staff here for their AWESOME customer service. If I could give a 100/5 for customer service alone, I would. This was like Michelin-level elite service. They refilled my drink, changed my grill for clean one, brought over sauces, Really loved the energy and personality of all the staff that I interacted with :). Also my main hostess, Samantha I think was her name, was next level service like better than some of the Michelin star restaurants that I have been to. She assisted in grilling some of the meats whenever she brought them over and it was outstanding, I was just awestruck by the service provided this evening.

From check in to being seated, the experience was seamless we only waited about five minutes. Our server, Talaya, was incredible and provided outstanding hospitality throughout our visit. While the food was delicious, what stood out most was the teamwork among the staff. My water glass never sat empty, and sauces/sides were always replenished without us having to ask. The ambiance was relaxing, welcoming, and perfect for a casual meal. It's also very kid friendly, which I appreciated. I can't wait to bring my little one on our next visit. Looking forward to coming back!

It was enough for two meals for me, and the price is reasonable! ($13 for the entree, $2 for extra rice) The wait staff is always really nice. All around good vibes here! Edit: when my boyfriend and I came in at 5:30pm on a Sunday night, the service and food were both impeccable. We will likely come more often due to this! The kalbi jjhim is fantastic. The meat was very tender, and the sauce is so flavorful. The only reasons I put down four stars for service was the most recent time we visited, our servers were relatively inattentive. The atmosphere is nice, but the temperature in the restaurant is always just a little too cold. The pork bulgogi lunchbox is well worth the price! I love the way they season the bulgogi, although it is on the saltier side.

Grabbed lunch from here recently and enjoyed myself!…read more The staff were polite and helpful throughout the meal. My wife and I ended up splitting the kimchi pancake as an appetizer, and we both got the beef bibimbap for our entrees. We didn't end up getting any interesting beverages this time, but there were a few draft and bottled beers available as well as soju, sake, and other variations of alcohol :) Anyway, our kimchi pancake arrived pretty quickly, and it was very tasty! I liked how the green onion was integrated throughout, and the dipping sauce was very flavorful. It looked like it may be a bit spicy but in fact was sweet-ish :) Our bibimbaps arrived soon after, served in hot stone bowls. In addition, they provided six different small side dishes, all of which were very tasty! I really enjoyed the variety, as they ranged from pasta salad to kimchi. Honestly, the bibimbap was maybe my least favorite part of the meal, which surprised me. It wasn't bad at all, with plenty of tasty veggies included, but it didn't blow me away. Maybe I should have added more of the bottled sauce they provided :) Overall, we both really enjoyed our lunch at Okja and would definitely come back!

It was a calm day, not too many people in. The space is nice and clean. The waiter was welcoming and nice. We let them know there was a birthday and they bought out a piece of cake and sang happy birthday. I paid for myself and my partner but wanted it on one check to prevent my card from being swiped twice. There's a slight language barrier so I don't think what I was saying was conveyed due to my card being swiped twice. Not a huge issue. Overall experience was great. We will be going back and maybe even trying out the karaoke room they have.

I was good with that because the food was delicious and such good value. Shared 3 dishes between 3 people: seafood stew, ddeokboki, and spicy LA galbi. Loved all of the dishes, all delicious with substantial quantity and amount of veggies. Perhaps what stood out the most was the ddeokboki since that's the best value dish I've ever seen at any restaurant--large in quantity that doesn't shy away in the amount of mix-ins (fishcake, cabbage, green onions, etc). Definitely will be keeping this place in mind for the next time I'm in the area.

While the selection is limited, especially if you're looking for hard to find fresh produce, the restaurant has you covered for standard Asian products. Our go-to (only order) is the Korean fried chicken. The restaurant serves a whole cut-up chicken for approximately $20. If you've not experienced Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) previously, you're in for a treat. We typically order plain, as we've found (KFC) can veer too sweet for our palate - but we are definitely in the minority. The crunch factor is hard to beat. On this particular occasion we mixed, original with a flavored option. I love original/plain but did find the plain to be under seasoned and the chicken weirdly cut up. At any rate, it was still delicious and would recommend. We've tried KFC prior and would order here again, but there is a chain restaurant on radar. KFC: 3.8
