Offer variety of selections. A bit pricier than other food courts in the area but the portion is very generous.

Humongous bowl of tofu soup with noodles and a regular tofu soup and rice

I've been craving silken tofu soup (soondubu jjigae) since I've moved to DC several months ago and finally got my fix. Simple but tasty. My boyfriend friend ordered the tofu soup with noodles and it was humongous. I'll stick to my bowl of rice, thank you. Great flavors and super friendly young dude working the register. Props to the tasty free banchan they give you (pickled cucumbers and bean sprouts).

My husband ordered this for dinner. It was a really big portion. He had it for two meals. They definitely gave you a lot of noodles! The soup was a little too salty for me though...

2nd time trying this place. I have been to the Super H but did not realise there are some restaurants (food court) on one side if the store. We had the Seafood pancake (my favorite type). We had the Bibimbab with mixed rice, assorted vegtables, and a sunny side egg ($16.95. Comes with several sides. Was very delicious. I had the kalbi (marinated short ribs) absolutely loved them. Comes with rice, kimchi, bean sprouts. Overall one of my favorite places

3/3/20 This past Friday we went to check out the Korean Market and get something to eat here. I have a feeling we will be making this a weekly thing. The young lady who took our orders was very informative about the various dishes. Since I despise spicy food, she told me about the foods to stay away from or things could go badly for me. The food I ordered was delicious, but I can't remember the name of the dish I got right now. Hopefully the photos will tell you what it is. During our meal, we got the pleasure of hearing a Ms. Rozee who is a singer and song writer and creative director. She looked familiar to me, but can't remember where we have met before. Her information is in the pictures I have provided. Eating and watching live entertainment is a great experience. I hope to see this again next Friday.

Kimchi Soondubu with ramen comes with beef. Yum!

I've eaten here several times now, finishing each meal with a happy belly. I tend to go for the kimchi soondubu which comes with beef. If you have it with ramen, the broth seems to be a little thinner than the traditional style in the pot without ramen. That version is a little heartier, and served with rice so it just depends what kind of mood you're in. The seafood pancake and kimchi pancake is delicious. Perfect crisp. I also enjoy the banchan served with the dishes. This past time I was enjoying my meal, the older gentleman working at the counter yelled across to ask if I needed or wanted anymore banchan. So sweet of him! I did not resist, and had some extra pickled chayote and cucumbers. Hope you enjoy it too!

a.k.a. So Gong Dong Tofu & BBQ We tried 3 Tofu noodle soups ($11.99) of various spice levels & 3 different types of Hot Stone Bibimbop ($14.99). Tofu Noodle Soups need a bit more flavor than just red chili pepper flakes. Perhaps we should've just ordered the Tofu Soups which were cheaper. Bibimbop is on the pricey side. However, presentations were nice & can't complain about the taste. The restaurant needs to work on getting it organized. Whoever does the last minute thing, each of us had a side dish missing or someone had sprinkles of sesame seeds vs none. The reasons I can't give perfect score aren't really in their control. I didn't like that we had hard time finding a parking spot, a table & chairs to eat at, and it's very noisy.

You see, sometimes the quality does matter and quantity is something that is overrated. Meokja Meokja demonstrates that at times quality trumps quantity in Kbbq. The cuts of the meat were all very fresh. I especially enjoyed the beef brisket. It was very tender. A lot of the times at AYCE Kbbq, the beef brisket can be quite dry. Not the case here. The waitress cooked all of our food, which is something I haven't truly appreciated in a while. It does make the food a bit more enjoyable when I don't have to do all the work. This restaurant is not super big. It was already borderline packed despite that we went there right when it opened. My friend told me there is one time they waited almost an hour at 9PM. So I would definitely get here early to avoid a long wait. While I had always been a loyal fan of AYCE Kbbq, I have found myself over the recent years slowly being tipped over towards the a la carte territory. Meokja Meokja has been the tipping point that finally swayed me over. The price here is about the same as AYCE, but with better quality, and I don't feel like trash after finishing the meal. Overall, AYCE Kbbq can be a messy affair, but I felt very clean and satisfied after eating here. A very solid Kbbq meal that I haven't had in a while.

My party of 6 frequents another AYCE kbbq restaurant so we were reluctant since this place does not offer all you can eat, but the Marinated Combo and the Pork Combo with sides were plenty to feed the 6 of us. We ordered one additional appetizer, the tteokbokki was a generous serving making it worth the $16, and it was a mild spice level. We were left very satisfied with the meal and service and have plans to return! We visited at half past noon on a Sunday and were seated right away with no reservation. No issues with parking.

My partner and I were seated quickly, but it took about 20 minutes before a server came over to greet us. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, and we repeatedly tried to flag someone down but were ignored. Meanwhile, we noticed other tables receiving almost immediate service after being seated, which honestly left a sour taste in our mouths before our meal even started. Once we were finally able to get a server's attention, we placed our order and everything else came out pretty quickly. From there, we received consistent service while our meats were being cooked on the grill. Still, the initial experience of being ignored for so long was frustrating and really took away from the overall experience. The menu is also pretty pricey for the quality, and unfortunately, I don't think it's worth the price. There are better KBBQ options in the area, so I wouldn't recommend this location. Definitely disappointing, especially as someone who enjoys their first location in MD.

What feels like a hidden gem serves some of the best Korean cooking I've tasted. The bossam was incredibly aromatic and came with a massive portion of fresh kimchi that was cut tableside, making for a fun dining experience. Together, it was more than enough to satisfy two hungry diners. The banchan selection was equally impressive and paired beautifully with the meal. The restaurant itself is cozy, clean, and welcoming, while the service felt warm, genuine, and comforting, almost like dining in someone's home. My only suggestion would be to offer a more fermented kimchi option as a side dish. All of the kimchi we tried was very fresh, and I personally would have loved a tangier, more developed flavor. Overall, this is an easy 10 out of 10. I would absolutely recommend it and will definitely be back.
