There's a lot of options to choose from but their most popular are the jajangmyun (black bean noodles), jjambbong (spicy seafood noodles), and probably the sweet and sour pork. I also love their cold noodles like their nengmyun and kong guksu. Their noodles are nice and chewy with the perfect bounce. I would highly recommend everyone to check this place out! read more

Oo another great Korean Chinese spot. Tried the Szechuan tang su yuk and jjajangmyeon. Tangsuyuk was a little over fried and pork a little dry but still good. The sauce wasn't spicy at all and too sweet. The jja jang myeon was good- sweet, savory. A pinch too sweet, but I still liked it. The noodles were excellent. They shock it in ice cold water before packaging (I'm assuming), because they were ice cold. The directions on the box said to run it through hot water before consuming with the sauce. Noodles were noticeably better than other restaurants- perfectly bouncy chewy. The jjajang sauce- the onions are chopped significantly smaller than other restaurants. It made it pleasant to eat. I visited this restaurant twice this weekend. Yesterday, I came with my husband and the food was excellent, so I decided to bring friends back on Sunday. Unfortunately, our second experience was extremely disappointing. We waited about 10 minutes just to place our order. After ordering, we waited over 50 minutes and still did not receive any of our food. During that time, there was no apology, no update, and no explanation from the staff. We ordered very standard dishes regular jjamppong, regular jajangmyeon, and milmyeon nothing that should take an unusually long time. After waiting about 30 minutes, we noticed that another table who ordered the same dishes and arrived after us received their food first. We assumed ours would come shortly after, but it never did. When we asked the staff, they said our order was in and would be ready soon. We waited longer, asked again, and were told the same thing. Eventually, nearly an hour after we arrived, we saw another table that came much later than us being served their food, while we still had nothing. At that point, we decided to leave. When we asked why later tables were served before us, we were told that dishes are prepared based on how quickly they can be made. Whether that is true or not, it does not justify the lack of organization, communication, or basic customer service. If this restaurant gets busy on Sundays, they should consider hiring more staff or improving their service system. It's truly disappointing because the food itself is very good. I was really excited to check this place out since I saw reviews on Instagram, raving about this restaurant. They suggested I order tang su yuk, and jjajangmyeon so I did just that! I went with 2 others, and we figured just the 2 dishes wasn't going to be enough, so we ordered the jjampong as well because we saw an appetizing picture out front! The food came out fairly quickly, like in less than 15 minutes. The food tasted like it had been microwaved to be hot, and not cooked fresh. //Tang su yuk unfortunately came with sauce on it, and made the pork soggy. The pork pieces that didn't have sauce on them, weren't even crispy! It was truly a let down. //Jjampong: tasted like packaged ramen, I couldn't remember which brand of ramen but it tasted just like ramen, no special jjampong flavor. The noodles were cooked to perfection though, and had great bite, great chew. //Fried Dumplings: 2 of 5, they were super "crunchy" and hard. That's how fried dumplings feel once you've fried them, then re fry them again. The dumplings were so hard to eat, one of my friends took a bite and couldn't eat any more as she has sensitive teeth. Kkanpunggi - 6/10 Good overall flavor--sweet with a little heat--but this one missed the mark for me. About two months ago, I decided to give it a another try with my wife. Boy !! the foods were much better and tasty. I could smell the fire burn taste on my Jambong. This week I got a carryout and ordered Yangjangpee, jambong and shrimp tansuyuk. All of them were really great. A lot of food on Yangjangpee and a lot of large shrimps on tangsuyuk. The broth was spicy, the black bean sauce savory and a little sweet, and we loved both of them! For two people we ordered a large jiajiamyeong, 5 dumplings, and a small pork tangsooyook which came out to around $50 with tax and tip. The dumplings were nice and crispy - filling was okay. The pork tangsooyook was light, juicy, and crispy. You can actually see the meat rather than just flour coating like at some other places! The sauce was sweet and tangy - pairing really well with the meat. The jiajiamyeong was a hefty portion and the perfect amount of sauce to noodles ratio. The noodles were chewy and had that perfect QQ texture. The sauce is a bit more on the sweeter side and doesn't have that wok hay, but overall still good. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

The sauce is good, usually the sauce is supposed to be extremely sweet. The only thing i like about this dish is that the sauce coats the fried pork and the fried pork is extremely crunchy. Noodles were 10/10, made me cold at the end. But the whole point of these noodles are supposed to be cold and filled with ice cubes. The noodle texture wasn't so chewy, but the noodles itself made me extremely full. The broth was cold and savory, which I enjoyed. The toppings are standard but the plating is very nice I would say. The service is very speedy and polite. Only a couple people working but the staff managed to serve everyone as fast as they can. Depending on the certain food you order, the preparation can take a while. Other tables ordered different dishes than us but that's because all dishes have different preparations and ingredients. I don't blame that. The ambiance of this restaurant wasn't so noisy, but since there are a lot of kids in the restaurant, it can get pretty loud. But that's because they're kids. I can say that it is a peaceful atmosphere and I can perfectly hear myself talking to my parents which is a good thing. Overall this restaurant was impressive. I have to say, if I don't clean my bowl after eating my dish, then that's how you know the food was mediocre. But today, I devoured my dishes to THE CORE. If you want good Korean in large portions for a cheap price this is the place to go! Dishes came with so much food we had to take some to-go. Both dishes was amazing and felt super homemade. The Gan jja jang with pork was so delicious, it was sweet and savory and the noodles were soft and chewy like! The seafood jjam bbong came with so much seafood topping better than other Korean restaurants for way lesser prices, it had shrimp, octopus, mussels, and vegetables. Spicy sauce is very very spicy. Checked it out because of the high reviews. Service was horrible, but the killer was our pork ttangsuyuk and gampoongi. Both meats where deep fried in the oil used to fry fish so all our dishes tasted like burnt fried fish. I'm not a fried fish guy so my first bite of the pork I dry heaved 3 times prompted my wife to smell the pork and confirming the rancid fried fish odor. The other dish was just as bad. Our server/owner never even acknowledged us the whole time and instead of complaining we just decided to never come again. Gan jjajang was the lightest (in color) I've seen and also very very oily to a point that no sauce would stick to the bowl. I'd say other spots would do better. Every time I order any types of JJA JANG MYUN here, I've never ever had good ones. Today, I placed an order of GAN JJA JANG that came out too salty. So they made new one but it was not new. They just poured hot water onto the salty one. Because of that, the sauce was too watery. For making an authentic Gan jja jang,you do not chop onions into small pieces. Ordered take out during the pandemic. Their sweet and sour fried chicken () and samsun jjajang () were on point. Samsun Jjajangmen (seafood): The noodles for jjajangmen were al dente so that you have to pour hot water over the noodles for 30 seconds when you are ready to eat. This is so that the noodles dont become too well done/mushy while you drive home. Instructions were on the packaging. The sauce had plenty of mixed seafood, including baby scallops, chopped squid, and tiny shrimps. Overall, love it! It was a bit more than the regular jjajangmen but worth it, if you love seafood. FYI it was $10.95. Sweet and sour fried chicken (no bone): they cut the corners of the packaging so that the fried chicken doesn't get soggy. The chicken, however, isn't meant to be crunchy because its soaked in the sauce. The sauce was sweet yet had spicy, tingly feeling at the end. Meat was fully inside the batter. It was pretty standard, noodles were on the sicker side, but well cooked and chewy. The jjamppong was definitely better. We also ordered beef tangsooyook, and that was the highlight for me personally. Nice, large chunks of beef, lightly breaded with a sauce that wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Definitely prefer the korean-chinese restaurants in annandale over this one. We've been coming for years and the food is always just ok - at least they're consistent? The khang poon sal is always too dry, too much batter. The jja jjang myun and jjam bong are very basic, the jjam bong is sometimes fishy smelling. Tried the naeng myun here for the first time and the naeng myun broth was not good - there was almost no flavor. To address this, the restaurant added huge dollops of a homemade gochu jjang looking sauce. Which completely dilutes what one thinks they're receiving for traditional 'mool naeng myun'. We initially were thinking about ordering the combo (in a dish that has two components), where you can get two dishes in one order. We ended up just ordering the full orders. We ordered the following dishes. Jia Jan Myeon, Chicken Fried Rice, Tang Su Yuk Pork and Katsudon Don. What we liked about the dieses is that they are not overly salty. The Jia Jang Myeon is not heavy and it's the kind you can just eat and eat and eat. The Tang Su Yuk was nicely done, hot (temperature) and crispy. The sauce is tangy and sweet with the right amount of sourness. The Katsudon is VERY crispy. Crunchy on the outside while tender on the inside. Our least favorite was the Chicken Fried Rice.
