Very spicy kimchi beef tofu soup with mackerel combo.
    Paul G.

I've been to this restaurant many times, and it is located in a food court, so there isn't much service and ambiance is acceptable. This place serves the best Korean tofu soup in the whole DFW and it is really awesome! Furthermore, it is really affordable compared to other restaurants. If you do a combo and get a kalbi or mackerel, it turned into a great deal. If you love Korean tofu and haven't tried this place, I highly encourage you to give this place a try. Their seafood pancake is also the best I've tried in DFW.

Came here for a quick lunch. Fairly quick service. Tasted legit. I would come back again.

Great Korean food. Reminds me of my time in the service when I was in Korea. Dol sot bibimbap with a sizzling bowl, fantastic. The fried Mandu reminds me of the carts outside of base where I'd pick up a snack after a night on the town.

Awesome place for fast and great tasting Kbbq. For the kalbi and soup combo you can choose what soup you want and how spicy and they have lots of selections on the soup! Will be back definitely

The food is good but it's a tad unsanitary. The bowls and plates were sticky and dirty. Pro wise, the kalbi was good and all of the people behind the counter were nice. They even carry out the food for you.

The seafood pancake is packed with seafood and comes out crispy on the outside, while the banchan (Korean side dishes) are fresh and plentiful. Overall, a solid choice for authentic Korean comfort food in North Texas.

It is a nice spot to enjoy a meal with friends and family or even on your own. The grilled pork ribs are big, meaty, tender, and juicy. It's glazed in slightly sweet sauce and it has a smoky charred flavor from being grilled. A hearty yummy must try dish when you are here. The bibim naengmyeon or korean spicy cold noodles had a good amount of that spicy sauce mixture (not very spicy if you're worried about that), and it is refreshing with the kimchi and radish. You can even doctor it up with the vinegar and mustard they provide to compliment the dish. The banchan spread includes kimchi, cucumbers, fish cake, salad, and a korean sweet mashed potato. Great bites to pair with the entrees. Overall, the food came out at a reasonable speed, so service is good. Nothing too notable in terms of service and ambiance but the food is good if you want a no frills, simple, hearty korean meal!

We opted for the Beef and Pork Combo B (difference is bone-in prime rib and bigger quantity). The prime rib was fantastic (cooked medium) and pork jowl was juicy. We also tried the brisket but it was on the leaner side so it was a tad bit chewy. We had an array of banchans like kimchi, cucumber salad, steamed egg, tofu soup, corn, daikon, fish cakes, etc. We also tried the Seafood Pancake. Though it wasn't stuffed with seafood, it was perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Two servers rotated cooking our meats and were so skillful that the meats never burned. They gave us to-go boxes that had aluminum foil lining the bottom so the grease doesn't soak through. That was thoughtful! My only concern was the ventilation system. When we walked in, it was really smokey. I noticed the smoke from our grill not being sucked in by the vent directly over us. Maybe it wasn't on or maybe it wasn't strong enough. Either way, a lot of smoke was filling the restaurant.

My husband specifically requested runny eggs, but unfortunately, they still came out overcooked. The food was decent, but there's definitely room for improvement. The food is consistently great, and when the staff is properly trained, the service is excellent too. The waitress with the toast necklace was honestly amazing and the highlight of our visit. Her communication was perfect. She asked exactly how we wanted the meat cooked, checked in on the pacing of the courses, and adjusted everything when we asked to slow things down. That level of attentiveness is what makes Korean BBQ enjoyable. At Ari, multiple staff members rotate between tables helping out, which is normally fine. Unfortunately, every time the more mature staff member came to our table, things started getting worse instead of better. After we had already explained that we preferred medium rare and wanted a slower pace, she came over, saw a little pink in the meat, turned the fire back on, and cooked it until it was overdone. She also started putting meat directly onto people's plates without asking first. Everyone at our table had different preferences. Some mainly wanted vegetables, our daughter preferred pieces with more fat on the sides instead of the more pink cuts, and some of us simply weren't ready for more food yet. Since we know everyone's preferences best, it would have made much more sense for us to serve the meat ourselves instead of having it automatically placed onto plates. What made it more awkward was that she kept placing food only into my tray and not anyone else's, which confused my wife and made the experience uncomfortable. She also started cooking additional courses before we had even finished the first two, despite us specifically asking to slow the pace down. The side dishes were also noticeably skimpy this visit compared to normal. Usually the portions are at least halfway filled, but this time some came out barely a quarter full. We kept asking for refills, especially for the daikon, and each refill only came with two or three small pieces. At that point it felt strange having to repeatedly ask for something that normally comes reasonably portioned. One suggestion for management: name tags would really help in a restaurant where the staff is actively cooking and interacting with customers. In a professional service environment, it would make communication much easier and more respectful if customers could address employees by name instead of describing them as "the toast necklace waitress" or "the mature lady." Still love Ari overall and will continue coming back. Hopefully this was just an off night and the communication/training issues get addressed.
