Note: this review is for take out. Bf and I ordered to go orders. We got Cheng du braised beef, beef with green chilies and spicy wontons. Food is delicious and very spicy! We love that. Wontons were so plump and juicy! Well seasoned! We were wondering what happened to the peanuts though.. thought it was supposed to come with it based on the description. Anyways, I also love their take away packaging. It's one of the better ones! Will return

The noodle soup is good and the noodles have a good bounciness to it. The soup tasted great and I look forward to trying different kinds. They do have a large selection. The chicken wonton soup was decent too. Overall quick service and good food.

Excited to check out the new Noodology that is now open inside Ranch 99 in Plano! They are on their soft opening right now. This place offers a variety of traditional Chinese noodle dishes. We split a bowl of Cantonese braised beef brisket egg noodles, and it did not fail to please. It was a truly flavorful broth, a bit spicy along with somewhat sweet, creating undeniably good mixture. The brisket was tender. It was absorbing all those deep, savory flavors. The egg noodles? It had that al dente texture, providing a suitable degree of chewiness within each bite.

Exactly what you'd expect. The menu is mostly noodle soups with a couple of dry noodle options as well. I opted for one of those, and it was really good! You can choose egg noodles or rice noodles, and it's ready in like 10 minutes. Friendly service and a clean space. Worth a try if you're looking for a noodle fix!

Noodology is inside the supermarket if you cannot find it. I had high expectations for Noodology and really wanted to love it but the food was just okay. I ordered the Cantonese style, braised beef brisket noodle soup. The beef was tender but I thought the noodles were overcooked (I prefer an al-dente texture) and the broth was a bit bland and lacking complexity. I brought a group of 6 with me and normally they comment if any dishes are really tasty but no one said anything. On the bright side, the restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and attentive.

I always pass by this restaurant while shopping at the 99 Ranch, so I was excited to try this place with my friend this weekend! If you dine in, you scan the QR code on the table to order. I ordered the Classic Beef Noodle. When you order, they give you a few options to customize your meal such as rice or egg noodles and if you want to add chinese pickles. The food came out so quick! The soup was delicious, both the broth and meat were flavorful. The noodles were cooked to perfection! The seating is comfortable and the interior has good lighting. Staff is also very friendly!

My mother has been eager to try the noodles at 99 Ranch. I have passed by the restaurant numerous times without stopping to try it, as I have been disappointed by many other establishments. However, my mother suggested we give it a try. I ordered the original beef noodle soup, which had a decent flavor but was slightly salty, with a discernible but not overwhelming presence of MSG. My parents opted for the sour pickles fish noodle, and upon trying the broth, I found it to be saltier than mine. It is clear that individual tastes can vary. Perhaps the restaurant could consider adjusting the seasoning of the fish noodle soup to make it less salty. I intend to return to try other dishes.

If I could give 10 stars I would. This place is truly a gem. They have variety of noodles from dry noodles or noodle soup. Came here two times and tried the beef dry noodles and the fish Chinese pickle noodle soup. Everything was above my expectation. They were so delicious .The place is very clean as well Will surely come back here

This is a newly opened small Chinese restaurant located inside the 99 Ranch Market. I came here for Sunday lunch and it was already filled with people. Long lines and I had to wait for quite a while to be placed on the waitlist. I realized that on Sundays they close at 1:30 pm and reopen at 4 pm. Glad I checked ahead. After finally getting seated, I ordered via the QR code. I got beef scallion pancake rolls and shrimp wonton soup. Originally I wanted chicken wonton soup but they already sold out. So they offered me shrimp wonton soup and it'd be the same price as the chicken wonton soup. I liked the shrimp wonton soup way more than the beef scallion pancake rolls. The wonton soup felt fresh from the stove and homemade. The wontons were flavorful and filled with hearty ingredients. On the other side the beef rolls felt like having been sit outside for a while. It tasted a bit plain too, even with the light sweet sauce inside. I wish it could contain egg and cheese so it could taste more complete. Though it had a bunch of beef - good portion for the price. I'd still come back to try other food, and I'd avoid coming on weekends as it can get super busy.

Fried Tofu and Chengdu style Dry Noodles
    Noah C.

First time I came here I had the beef noodle soup. It was very ordinary with no complex flavors which I would give about an average rating. Second time here I'd tried the fried tofu and the Chengdu style dry noodles. The thin layer crust on the tofu was really nice and I liked the sauce to go with it, but do be careful -- it is very hot. The dry noodle was also good. It wasn't a "Wow, I'll come back just for this" dish, but it definitely hit the spot.

This place is absolutely made for a group outing, and we're already planning to come back with a group to take full advantage. The food was a delight. The Singapore noodles had this wonderful curry flavor that I absolutely loved, and the combo fried rice was just as satisfying. We also ordered the Peking duck (P1 on the menu). It was good, though not quite as flavorful on its own as we'd hoped. That said, once you load it up with the hoisin, cucumber, and spring onions, it all comes together beautifully. The bao buns that came with it were soft and delicious, honestly a highlight. We also sipped on hot jasmine tea throughout, which was the perfect, refreshing complement to the whole meal. A solid spot with great vibes, tasty dishes, and room to grow on us even more with a return visit.

But regardless, we didn't have enough skin so asked if we can get 2 more skins, even if we had to pay for them. The waitress barked at us that it comes in 10-pks and that she can't get us just 2 pieces. Fine, but there's no need to be annoyed and roll your eyes at us. The service was much to be desired. We ordered the A-Choy vegetable and it was awful, old and yellow and not cooked well. It's like they didn't sauté it in a hot enough wok so it wasn't crispy. So disappointing this time. Don't get me wrong, the Peking Duck and the soup that comes with it were still pretty good. Thus the second star.

We have dined at this location often over the last five years. Our recent visit (yesterday…read moreevening)was less than satisfying. We were seated ( party of four)next to a larger table in the corner of the restaurant. When we ordered, they only took our appetizer order and we had to wait a long period of time before they would take our entree order. During this time, a large table next to us filled up with 6 people who were making so much noise that our table could not even hear each other's conversation. The larger table occupants were loud, rude , and obnoxious. We asked our waitress to do something and the wait staff ignored our request to intervene on our behalf for calmer demeanor from them. Finally , someone from my table had to address this personally and confronted the loud group and asked if they could tone down their enthusiasm so we, and other patrons, could enjoy our evening at the restaurant. They only cut the noise for a few minutes and started again with the loud voices and over boisterous laughter . We were greatly disappointed with the staff and the overall establishment. We normally have a nice dinner with the attentive wait staff and enjoy our menu choices. Because our concerns were not addressed, we don't feel respected and wonder if we will dine again here.
