What a great spot for lunch! We came in at 2pm, having late lunch. We were greeted promptly. You order and pay at the counter and sit yourself. The café style setting is inviting. Our banchan came out within a couple of mins. The TV is playing korean reality shows. Our food came out very quickly! We ordered the lunch galbi and hotstone bibimbap. The galbi was flavorful and tender. Probably came with 8 pieces but I didnt count. The bibimbap is a huge serving (this wasn't on the lunch menu) and stayed so hot. Loved that the rice was crispy at the end. The mixing were very flavorful. Quintessential bibimbap. Watch for the bowl, you'll burn your hand even after eating for 20min. You know its a legit korean spot when you see the boxes of spoons and stainless steel chopsticks on the table. When I am back in Plano, ill be back for a business lunch.

We enjoyed our dinner so much we went back for more. This time we tried chicken teriyaki, spicy pork, and kimchee soup. I am always in the search of local restaurants when traveling and this place just hit the spot. We spoke to the owners and found out that they have been there for seven years and their ratings have been going up over the years. Support small businesses!

Lovely small Korean restaurant. Don't go for ambience, but food was fresh, fast, reasonably priced -- and service was delightful. Great lunch stop. In and out in 25 minutes, happy and full.

    Chicken Bulgogi

My go to spot for chicken bulgogi. It is spicy deliciousness. Not too many places serve the chicken version and of the places I did try, this place ranks top. It's a casual counter service spot so the menu is placed in the front.

UPDATE: Dec 22, 2019 I ordered Seafood Pancake for lunch on a Sunday with the family. They've got new Menu better than the previous one. Still the Serving Staff don't smile to customers. Korean food here is authentic. ===================================================== Just got in this Korean Cuisine place for late lunch or early dinner. We ordered Bulgogi dinner and ddookbaege bulgogi (marinated beef soup with clear noodles). Their bulgogi was thinly sliced sirloin beef. Marinated well and top with sautéed bean sprouts. It's delicious. The marinated beef soup with clear noodles taste superbly great. We came around 4:30 pm, past their lunch hour (11 am - 3 pm). So theiro dinner price is $$. Only lunch prices are at $. Dinner serving portions are above average. Clean separate Men and Women's bathroom. No changing table, needs to upgrade.

A classic! Located in a strip mall with various cuisines including Mexican, Vietnamese, Filipino, and Italian eateries. Their kimchi jigae is so good. Even with a change in owners throughout the years, the taste remains familiar. Can say the same for the kimchi pancake, spicy squid stir fry, and bean paste soup. Prices have gone up with inflation but there also aren't as many Korean restaurants in the area, so it makes sense. Wish their dine-in hours were more flexible. They have re-opened dining but only until 3 PM, for lunch. It's great that they have lunch pricing on Saturdays though, and not just on the weekdays.

A homey restaurant with authentic Korean cuisine. It is well priced and owners were kind. They do not do side dish refills for free though

The seafood pancake is packed with seafood and comes out crispy on the outside, while the banchan (Korean side dishes) are fresh and plentiful. It is a nice spot to enjoy a meal with friends and family or even on your own. The grilled pork ribs are big, meaty, tender, and juicy. It's glazed in slightly sweet sauce and it has a smoky charred flavor from being grilled. A hearty yummy must try dish when you are here. The bibim naengmyeon or korean spicy cold noodles had a good amount of that spicy sauce mixture (not very spicy if you're worried about that), and it is refreshing with the kimchi and radish. You can even doctor it up with the vinegar and mustard they provide to compliment the dish. The banchan spread includes kimchi, cucumbers, fish cake, salad, and a korean sweet mashed potato. Great bites to pair with the entrees. Overall, the food came out at a reasonable speed, so service is good. Nothing too notable in terms of service and ambiance but the food is good if you want a no frills, simple, hearty korean meal!

The food is consistently great, and when the staff is properly trained, the service is excellent too. The waitress with the toast necklace was honestly amazing and the highlight of our visit. Her communication was perfect. She asked exactly how we wanted the meat cooked, checked in on the pacing of the courses, and adjusted everything when we asked to slow things down. That level of attentiveness is what makes Korean BBQ enjoyable. At Ari, multiple staff members rotate between tables helping out, which is normally fine. Unfortunately, every time the more mature staff member came to our table, things started getting worse instead of better. After we had already explained that we preferred medium rare and wanted a slower pace, she came over, saw a little pink in the meat, turned the fire back on, and cooked it until it was overdone. She also started putting meat directly onto people's plates without asking first. Everyone at our table had different preferences. Some mainly wanted vegetables, our daughter preferred pieces with more fat on the sides instead of the more pink cuts, and some of us simply weren't ready for more food yet. Since we know everyone's preferences best, it would have made much more sense for us to serve the meat ourselves instead of having it automatically placed onto plates. What made it more awkward was that she kept placing food only into my tray and not anyone else's, which confused my wife and made the experience uncomfortable. She also started cooking additional courses before we had even finished the first two, despite us specifically asking to slow the pace down. The side dishes were also noticeably skimpy this visit compared to normal. Usually the portions are at least halfway filled, but this time some came out barely a quarter full. We kept asking for refills, especially for the daikon, and each refill only came with two or three small pieces. At that point it felt strange having to repeatedly ask for something that normally comes reasonably portioned. One suggestion for management: name tags would really help in a restaurant where the staff is actively cooking and interacting with customers. In a professional service environment, it would make communication much easier and more respectful if customers could address employees by name instead of describing them as "the toast necklace waitress" or "the mature lady." Still love Ari overall and will continue coming back. Hopefully this was just an off night and the communication/training issues get addressed.

The galbi tang is the best Korean soup that I've ever had. Yes, it's better than soondubu (tofu stew) or budae jjigae (army base stew). Ok maybe at least twice a month lol The ajumma here is the sweetest person and I like to tell myself that everything from the soups to the banchan are her homemade recipes.
