This place is just...pretty DOPE! I have been here a few times while visiting "The Little Apple". My GF graduated from K-state so she likes to remember what it was like to stumble out of So Long and not remember anything about the previous day. That being said, the raspberry chipotle bean dip is HUGE but amazing. Their fried pickles are some of the best that I have ever had and you cannot go wrong with their ranch cream cheese dip for them! The burgers are juicy and grilled to a perfect medium, which is just how I like them. The staff is how I imagined all Kansans to be...Nice, charming, personable, and would give you the shirt off their back, with the exception of the recently engaged bartender (forgot her name, oops) haha. So Long is one of my favorites to go to in the Ville. Guaranteed a wait but worth it. I always have to start off with the Austin Style Chili & Cheese dip! I am not a fan of beans so I haven't personally tried it - but I've heard nothing but raves about the Chipotle Raspberry & Black Bean dip as well. I absolutely love their grilled chicken sliders (on the appetizer list but great if you're wanting something light) They also have some really good burgers. and.....HOME OF THE NANCY! This is an amazingly fun place and a must go if you ever get a chance to make it out to Manhattan ks! It's located in the hart of Aggieville and is truly unique! During my stay in KS, I was told that the bar is actually an original bar that was shipped in from an old Texas saloon! Every scratch on it was preserved! The decorations in this place are unlike anything you will find anywhere. The service at this place was always super friendly now matter how long the wait list would be. The place is so good that you can expect a wait list most days and on weekends, you can expect a bigger wait. So get there before you are completely starved! When we would go there we would usually start off with the Texas Nachos to share and then I would get the Aloha Burger! It would hit the spot every time! The quality meat that they use is top quality too! They use bison meat which smells and tastes amazing! If I come back to Aggieville, this will be one of the first places that I make sure to stop in at! read more

Tried the raspberry black bean dip solely because of the Yelp reviews and we all did not care for it at all. The jalapeno cheese dip was wonderful, could of drank it I liked it so much. We all ordered the saloon burger. It was very juicy/greasy but I dont get the reviews it is getting, I felt it was pretty standard. The servers are friendly and quick with the refills. So Long is a great restaurant in Aggieville, but because it's in the Ville it's consequently small. I will applaud the wait staff for making up for the small space with being quick and friendly. They even get you a drink before you're seated at a table if you would like. The burgers are excellent, but have the tendency to be a little over cooked. Also, the nachos are a delicious appetizer. This place is awesome. In town on business with a coworker, saw the reviews on Yelp and decided to try. It is definitely a small place and there was a wait on a Tuesday night, but they manage it well and got us seats at the bar in ten minutes. They have a decent beer selection, but the food really impressed us. The raspberry chipotle black bean dip was amazing and as good as people said it was. Positive: 1) Burgers are amazing, had the Aloha which was delicious with the potatoe salad. 3) The Nancy pineapple beer was light and nice. Negative: 1) lack of seating, its so tiny! 2) They won't seat you unless your whole party is there so I would recommend you say your ready to be seated then as people come in add chairs which is what I saw the local college kids doing. 3) The bartender actually told us if we were still waiting on our party and he needed the bar seats we would be asked to get up and wait outside. 4) Flies everywhere, but I notice that everywhere here. read more
