I loved my time as a blonde I never in my life thought I would ever be brave and trust someone with my hair like I did her. The reason why I leave this 1 star is because as amazing as her work is her customer service is very unprofessional. I made an appointment with her weeks in advance like she asked. On the day of the appointment she texts and apologizes asking if I can come in later because she is running late with a client. I let her know that I was needing to leave by a certain time due to personal reasons. I didn't think to bring them up since they had nothing to do with my hair appointment. To be safe I ask if we can reschedule because I had gone to her 4 previous times and I know she can take a bit longer because after she still would have to prepare my color and clean and all that good stuff which is understandable. She says due to me wanting to reschedule she would let this time slide but next time she would have to charge me a rescheduling fee. I then corrected her and said it was due to her being late and she said that that is how she ran her business and if I didn't like that I could go elsewhere. She also mentioned she didn't know what was going on with me so I shared a bit to see if that would help her understand and that went even more south again pushing me elsewhere due to timeliness. She had mentioned she was all about her customers and delivered quality customer service. The whole time I was wondering where mine was at because every time either it was morning or afternoon appointment she would be running late it was to make a coffee run in the mornings, waking up late, or running late with a customer. I even offered to pay more money just so she could make it on time since i was going through a personal matter. I think she misunderstood thinking I was asking for VIP service or something because she said no matter what income she charged the same. NOOO! I was offering to pay extra in hopes she could agree to make it on time. I understand being self employed but maybe better customer service especially while representing a hair salon that is not yours is still very important. She also mentioned the owner of Hasbrouck House had made her fix someones hair due to a similar reason before this incident with me so I am guessing its not her first time treating customers in this matter. I have now gone to a handful of salons and everyone is scared to touch my hair because every time they test it it is very slimy and fragile. If anyone knows of anyone who can work on my hair like she could please share. This girl can definitely correct the incorrect and make any hair color a reality. Customer service and timeliness are definitely recommended to be worked on. I had asked one final time to make things work and she never replied back. I know her work is flawless but that shouldn't be an excuse to be treated like this or make me feel like it was all my fault.

Why not rate the skill set and start your stylists at a lower price point until they gain more experience. Appreciate that they took me in as a walk in. The nail tech was nice and fun to talk to. Would not recommend unless you are willing to sit around for hours for your nails to dry all the way through. This is an unacceptable manicure in my book. See attached pictures of me easily scratching into my still wet polish. The base coat was Seche Vite base, color- OPI Princess Rule, top coat OPI (not sure which one, but clearly not a quick dry), OPI laquer drying drops. I use this polish and base coat all the time at home and have no issues with prolonged drying time so long as it isn't too thick and a little drying time is allowed per coat (60-90 seconds). I don't understand how this manicure is so bad. Consider using Seche Vite quick dry top coat (can cause wronkles in metallic polishes) or Seche Vite gel effect top coat (great on top of all polished i have tried). OPI's quick dry top coat is also decent. I totally appreciate that I came in at the end of the day as a walk in and appreciate that I was given service with no fuss. I will even admit that I smudged a nail that the tech reapplied for me and I smudged my thumb while paying, but there is no excuse for my other nails to still be prone to gouging and smudging 90 minutes after the manicure. I think the tech may be more comfortable with gel manicures as she said that is what she uses kn her nails- to be fair- you can cure those in minutes. UPDATE- it's been almost 5 hours and the polish is still soft- It is easily dented and scratches off. What a mess- very gummy and bubbly! I was so looking forward to not having to do my nails this week, but it turns out I have to remove this mess and do it myself- plus I'm out $30

The front area is inviting and everyone is very friendly. I had a pedicure with Bethany that was perfect. It's been close to three weeks and my polish still looks great. Rutger was my masseuse, he is amazing! He found tense areas that I hadn't realized were there and stretched/massaged them. He also explained to me what areas to maintain and self-treat as I'm training for my first marathon. Courtney gave me the most incredible facial! Since I turned 35 last weekend, I felt obliged to opt for the anti-aging facial.I was so relaxed! She also recommended a chemical peel (I was nervous, as I've never done one before!) and I'm so happy she did. My skin felt instantly smoother and there was a noticeable difference in the fine lines and wrinkles that I was starting to spy.... The prices I felt were very reasonable for such a nice place. Despite specifically requesting highlights throughout, the back of her hair was left untouched. When she asked to have it corrected, she was quoted an additional $100. She also had to return the next day because the front still showed visible dark roots -- the job hadn't been done properly. They fixed the front, but then wanted another $100 to finish what should have been completed the day before. Afterward, my girlfriend looked into the salon's actual pricing and found it hadn't changed at all -- meaning she'd been misled about the increase. She called to raise this with the owner, Julie, who redirected her back to Katelynn, and Katelynn didn't answer her call. Between the inflated pricing, the incomplete work, and the lack of accountability, I'd steer clear. There are salons that will do the job right the first time and charge you honestly for it. Overpriced and dishonest business practices.
