I've been to this place twice. Thought would be better than Royal & Carsomething on the corner of Campbell & Plano Rd. Very pricey. I had to wait a month to wash my car after body work being done. Sprinklers hit my car twice a week hard water stains. Stopped ther Fri am $40 wash missed half the front window drivers side and all top of the hood, yet $7 drive thru was this am got both! Cool Water Auto Spa - more than your typical car wash. I've been here twice - once with a friend getting her inspection renewed. The place was brand new, meticulously clean, and had free Starbucks coffee. Plenty of magazines on the coffee table and a nice flatscreen to occupy your time as well. She also had a wash and interior detail - not sure of which package. We waited at most 25 minutes before the car was ready - the car was meticulous - one of the cleanest cars I've seen short of showroom quality. I normally do all my own cleaning but for the little amount of money that she paid, I'd gladly pay them to clean mine. The second time I had a simple inspection done. Took all of 20 minutes. They, much to my surprise, also gave it a free wash and vacuum. From dirty and expired tags to extremely clean and legal. I was very impressed with the work they did, in comparison to the amount of time and effort it would take me to do it myself. Simply put - there's not much else to say about the place - excellent service, never a long wait for an inspection or wash/cleaning. read more

I've been here several times to get my car washed and I really like the work they do for the price, and the staff is super friendly plus they go over each option with you when you pull in so you don't go over/under on the services. More often than not I have to point something out for them to go over. I know I'm a bit anal about my car and the way it looks and every time I ask for something to be redone they never once complain about it or roll their eyes or anything, but I find it extremely annoying that what I point out is something blatant each time. For example : they didn't wipe out all the soap in my side view mirrors and I got a streak of soap on the side of my car as soon as I pulled out. They have free wifi here which is a huge plus for me since it helps pass the time if there's ever a wait. read more

I've probably had a car cleaned four more times since my first review. I am continually pleased with Coolwater. I've glanced at the negative reviews and I think that two factors impact your experience at Coolwater. 1) I don't expect it to be fast. We live nearby and prefer to drop off rather than wait. 2) if anything ever gets skipped or not done well enough, point it out to the guys at the front of the line who sell you services, they WILL make it right. There is a new shop open that I have to drive past to get to cool water, and I will continue to do so. read more

I received a new resident card for $25 and was super excited to try out this place since I don't have a regular car wash since moving to the Richardson area. Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and the waiting area was really nice and comfortable. That's where my pleasant experience ended. I had such high hopes for this place but sadly should have heeded the negative reviews here. It rained outside while I was here so that is why I didn't notice the car not really being clean until I got home. Really not worth the money I spent, I could have taken it anywhere to get the interior cleaned. Pictures attached show just how bad it really was. I spent $33 today for a wash with interior ArmorAll (sp), and interior vacuum was not done well, and exterior front headlights and grill still had bugs on it, and rear wasn't wiped. Also, When I paid I asked for cash back in case I wanted to leave a tip, and was told I could only add an automatic tip to my payment. That way they automatically get a top and I can't inspect the car first to see if a tip is deserved, or adjust the amount of tip as deserved. Wasn't a great experience. They seem to just want to get you in and out fast without caring about a quality job. read more

Told man up front about problem areas within the interior and found out from the interior cleaner that nothing was said about these, so they weren't clean. had to request that door wells be wiped off and problem areas resolved, when i got back inside after there were further problem areas on the hood, in the crevices of my shift, and in my lower interior door pocket. I've been coming here with our 2 SUV's seen they opened. They are an excellent car wash with great management. We are all human and mistakes can be made or something was unintentional missed. If you bring it to their attention they will make it right. For example: one of the brushes or machine chammies caught the rear wiper and bent it. They discovered it when it came out and pointed it out to me. They offered to go to Acura and buy a new one and replace it. Since I was going there for a service check I said I would pick one up and bring it back. They installed it and gave my wives car a full detail which they did not need to but did. I buy their "loyalty card" which gives you 20% to 25% extra cash on he card depending on what you spend. I highly recommend this car wash! read more

I've been here before, and was usually happy with the service. I had brought my cars in for detailing about 2-3 times a year. I had not been here in a while, as I don't get detailing done during the winter, and went back today to bring the car I just bought in for an inspection. Things have gone way downhill at this place. First off, I went to get my car inspected. When I got here, there was nobody waiting in line, but somehow another car got in before me. Ok, thats fine, whatever.. Maybe someone got in before me. Apparently the tint on the car I just bought is too dark, so it failed. I need to get that fixed. Ok, thats my fault, fine. When i went to pick the car up, there was a huge dried water spot on the window, as well as quite a few water spots all over the car. I asked the lady up front, "Hey, my car looks like s***, could you run it through again?" "Oh sure, just let the guy up front know." The "Guy up front" tells me, "Oh, your window looks like S*** because you rolled down your window dude!" Uh, no, the inspection guy rolled down the window. Still, "Hey, do you mind taking care of this?" "I'd have to pay for your car wash, and I don't want to do that." Really didn't appreciate the lip Really. After a few words, the guy changes his mind and runs it through. The guy wiping my car down calls me "Maltido guero (or blanco)" (Just because i'm white doesn't mean I dont speak a bit of spanish.) A bright spot, though. After Mr. Maltido went to go do something else, another woman came up and did a much better job drying my car off. I usually leave a nice tip in the tip jar when people do a good job, but considering my experience, I gave her all the cash I had left in my wallet to thank her for the only redeeming part of my visit. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a car wash. I have NEVER been treated so rudely at a business before. I'm going to try and speak to the general manager when he's back in the office on Tuesday and explain to him why he's lost my business. read more

I took my Expedition for a cleaning and I didn't notice it at the time but it wasn't wiped down good and there was still dirt on the steps on the driver side. On a side note, a lady came in a Corvette and at least 5 guys were hovering over to get it spotless. More than likely I won't go back because of the service and overpriced. read more

This used to be my go to car wash. They were always so thorough and always had my favorite car scent for the inside of my car. They still do a decent job, but I feel things have gone down hill a bit here. The past two times I came in for wash, they were out of the creamy vanilla scent I like for my car. And the last time I came in for a wash, the man showing me the different washes available got an attitude when I wouldn't be pressured into buying the top of the line wash. I always get the basic wash. That's what I like. You guys need to stop pressuring people into getting more expensive washes and when the customer tells you no, there is no need to get an attitude. There are way too many other car washes out there that we can choose from. I have since started going elsewhere and will probably never go back to Cool Water. It's a shame too as you are very close to my home. read more

They washed my car. It's clean. It's a little expensive - $22 for exterior, wheels/tires, vacuum, undercarriage - but they seem to be the only people in the area who do undercarriage washes (or at least, they're the cheapest place that does). It's worth it for me as I do a fair amount of driving on roads covered in salt and sand. It's a car wash. What more could you want? read more

This place has gone down hill over the last year, I went in a couple of weeks ago and had the full clean ordered and paid for. As I sat outside I noticed the the employees were standing around talk to each other rather then cleaning cars, once they finished talking a couple of them went to my SUV and sat inside and started talking and not doing anything inside, no cleaning just talking. One of them was drink a soda inside my SUV, I guess when they got to a point during their conversation they decided to start a little work, now the issue became a problem because one of the guys took his cleaning bottle and just started to spray everything even my dry cleaning . I went up to them and told them to get out of my SUV, I talked to a manager so I thought and all he did was say sorry, that's it. Sad deal here is, I have been going there for over 8 years, I have given Baseball tickets to the manager so he could give them to any of the employees that he wanted. I also have had work cars and trucks go there to be cleaned, from now on, they have been told to go else where. Management, get people that work and cate about their jobs, until that happens you will miss ALL our business. read more

Every working member is following CDC guidelines and is incredibly kind! State Inspection and free wash is a great deal. While they have a spacious waiting room inside, my favorite part is the spacious outdoor covered waiting area that gets a great breeze on nice weather days. I noticed that it has gotten some bad reviews, but I've never had bad service here, however, this was only my second time here since it has changed names. When I went here yesterday to get my car washed Jafter a long road trip, Juan Ciadra noticed that I had white paint on my car & asked what had happened. (I had scraped our cable box.) He said he thought he could get it off. It didn't occur to me to ask him to do this. He buffed it out, & you can't tell that I had scraped something. I have been taking my Suburban to Soapy Jeff's for 4 years. Over the past two years, the service has gotten slower and sloppy. Today was the last straw! I always pay for the $39.95 detailing and today I did the same. When it was time to pick up my vehicle, they had not vacuumed under the WeatherTech mats or cleaned them. They didn't even remove the mats when I asked them to vacuum again. I explained that they are removable and that they need to vacuum under all the seats including the 3rd row. I also found where they didn't wipe off any of the mats. I asked for rag to wipe it myself and they send me to the final stage and then tell me that wiping mats is not included with the $39.95 package. That wiping is extra. I sat and watched the employees talk on their phones, slowly wipe down vehicles and spray window cleaner while allowing the cleaner to dry before wiping it. This is awful service. When I asked for a boss, they all acted like they didn't speak English. No one stood up as the one in charge and no one would try to make me happy. Four years ago this would have never happened. None of the employees acted like they wanted to even be there--bad work ethic. Never use Soapy Jeff's Car Wash if you want even the basic detailing service--not very vacuum and cleaning area is included! Bad! read more

I've never felt compelled to leave a review for anything in my life. However, the quality of my car was was so terrible that I am hoping to save anyone else the hassle and money of going to this place. I forked over $45 dollars to have my car thoroughly cleaned. Even after I complained to management and they re-cleaned the inside the results were way below any reasonable expectations. The exterior was so spotty I'm unsure if they even dried it. They used some awful cleaner on the inside and 5 days later I still haven't gotten all of the gunk off of the console. Take seven dollars to a drive through car wash and bribe your six year old to help vacuum with the quarter vacuums and the result will be 100% better; I know from personal experience. read more

My wife's SUV was a disaster in the back seat from our 5 and 3 year old kids. There was melted candy between the seats, spilled ice cream cone and mud from dirty cleats everywhere. I brought it in to Cool Water thinking that they might be able to get some of it out, but I really thought the car was beyond help. To my shock, the car looked brand new when we picked it up! I really couldn't believe how great it looked. It was worth every penny. This was our first visit, but it won't be our last. I have been to other car washes in the area, but I have never experienced anything like this. We will definitely be back! read more

I've also been here twice. The first time was to get my car inspected and also get the free exterior car wash. I waited about 20-30 minutes inside while my car was getting inspected. No one came to get me to tell me that my car was finished. I decided to walk outside and theres my car.. sitting there. I had to find someone to ask what was going on. Apparently it was done getting inspected and washed. My car still had a big splattered bug on my hood. I had to ask soemone to finish cleaning it. My inspection paper was on the passenger seat of the car and they told me I could leave. Fast forward... I'm trying to get my car registered and they tell me that Cool water auto spa had forgotten to give me a VI-30 form that they should have automatically known to give me since my car plates were from out of state. I go back to Cool Water.. no apologies. Basically wasted a day going back and forth from the motor vehicle registration place and Cool water. read more

I wanted to like this place, since I work out in the strip center 4-5 times a week that's adjacent to it, and I live very close by. But alas, it was awful and I wont be back. OK Here goes my gripe... I went here to get a car wash and a state inspection. The inside of the building is pretty clean, but some of the washing machinery appears pretty grease laden, and could use some good maintenance. Since they drive you're car through I'm sure they don't get many complaints about this, otherwise everyone would notice it. The inspection ran me 39.75 and the Car wash "wheel detail" was 19.00 (they give you a 7 dollar credit towards a wash for getting the expensive inspection. All in all it ran about $52.00. Not cheap, but ok, I'm Still game. I ask how long it will take and they say about 30 minutes. No problem, I go workout and come back 25 minutes later. I end up waiting 1.25 hours (total) before it is finished. There were greasy fingerprints all over the inside of the windshield and the outside, as well as the inside and outside of the door frame from the guy installing and removing the old sticker and putting the new one in. Typically they at-least make a good attempt to give you back a clean windshield when you get an inspection, even if you are not getting a car wash. Not the case here. sticky stuff, and fingerprints galore. They Probably should do the inspection 1st then do the car wash, to get the inspectors greasy fingers off the outside of your car. On the plus side, they didn't gash my dash or a-pillar with the razor blades they use to scrape off your old sticker. They also managed to install the sticker straight. Also, with this "wheel deal" wash they are supposed to clean the tires and wheels. while the face of the wheel was, somewhat clean and the tire was shined. The inside spokes of the wheel were cleaned very sub-par and in most cases the brake dust and all the road junk was still stuck on the wheel. And probably the most annoying of all, the car was left running the entire time. My car has an active digital timer that keeps track of the amount of time the car is on the road running, miles, etc. my car was left running for a total of..... 1 hour and 15 minutes... What a waste of premium gasoline. So what did I take away from this experience? 1. Don't get the wheel deal. (perhaps it should be called the "everything but the wheels deal?") 2. Expect to spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting. 3. Don't Expect an actually clean car if you get the inspection. 4. Go to Big Lou's (@ beltline/coit) if you need a car wash and don't have time to do it yourself. read more

I always take my vehicles here for their yearly inspections since you get a free exterior wash with the inspection. The waiting area is spacious, full of comfortable couches, and has a nice play area to keep my daughter occupied if she's with me. There's also free wifi as well. read more

I have taken my cars here for a while. They usually do an ok job. Lately I have had two cars done and another one detailed. The cars still had dirt on them and the detail on the inside was horrible. First off the guy sold me a $33 service but when I paid the cashier said it was written up as $49 service. She told me what that included and I paid. When I got my car back my lunch break was over so I return to work noticing on the way the stain on my seat was still there and now my leather had stains as well. Plus they didn't vacuum it well at all. I called the manager he said come back and they will fix it. I returned & they got out the seat stain & leather stains they caused but again I noticed new ones. I went back a third time and the manager himself cleaned the inside. Today I noticed more discolored areas in the back I didn't see before. Not going back - $50 down the drain. read more

This place is less than 1 mile from my home so I keep trying it. Continuously disappointed with their lack of professionalism and quality. They turn away business because of low staffing and do not honor signage. If you go close to closing time, they'll waive you off for a basic wash even with 15 minutes left and no line. They do not clean well, clean tires well or fully dry your car. I have a low car and they are inconsistent with forcing me to do a hand wash which is $40. I give them two stars rather than one because of their discounted loyalty program. I spent a couple hundred dollars and got 20% added to the card. read more
