I arrived at the glider port and then the instructor who was very nice Andy the owner came. We took a 40m drive to the glider port the team set everything up. Watched video on a iPad for quick training it was very simple instructions even kids can learn. We were up 35-40 high went fast, circled around and landed on the ground safe. Willie was my tandem pilot his landing style is very graceful and you land on your feet while Andy the former airplane pilot expert likes to land on wheels it was pretty cool. I'm really excited to get home and watch the gro pro footages of our mountain tandem hang gliding.

We flew with some turkey vultures in the area. This is the closest experience to flying like a bird. My instructor has flown over 10000 flights so I was in good hands. He answered our questions and was very confident and calm. Our brother learned a lot while we were the passenger princesses in the back. It's very tight and my 6'4" brother barely fit. It definitely feels like a rollercoaster at times with how delicate the controls are. Even just going slightly down or up had those stomach drop feelings. I definitely recommend taking anti-motion sickness medicine if you're sensitive. The views are definitely amazing on a clear day and the helicopter was mostly glass. 30 minutes was a good amount of time and went by slowly. Definitely recommend to try once as it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The flight there was beautiful, the flight back was beautiful as well but a lot more fun. Our Pilot, Dave, was a fantastic host. It is clear from the second you meet him that he has been doing this for a long time and loves what he does. He was very courteous and friendly. He pointed out various landmarks as we flew and looked like he was having as much fun as we were. Trust me on this, if you take the flight out to the Julian Pie Company let Dave have some fun flying through the canyons on the way back. definitely learned a lot here, unfortunately they exaggerate the AWS certification and job…read morepotential. the career center was a mess when it came time for our class which is just bad timing understandablely but still. for a "98% job rate" my class of 17, only 3 have jobs post graduation. other than the career center you definitely learn a lot and have great opportunities.
