My family ordered from here for our Yom Kippur meal. We ordered the family meal for 6 and the…read morefamily meal for 4 as we were 8 people. The family meals are VERY GENEROUS in portion size. Everything was also packed up and presented so nicely. My mom picked it up and she said that an employee helped and brought everything to her car. She even said the employee kept the meal for 6 and the meal for 4 separate. The cover for the tray with fries was poked with holes so that it wouldn't get soggy. Talk about a simple afterthought! The meals came with with different types of kabobs (2 different chicken ones, and two different beef ones), Chicken Shawarma, Israeli salad, hummus, fries, babaghanoush, two different kinds of rice and pita bread. We also had falafel. Let me tell you....everything was so delicious. I wasn't even hungry after my first plate but I still helped myself to more. Everyone in my family throughly enjoyed. We couldn't stop talking about how good the food and presentation was. 5 stars all the way!

You also get two sides when you do the lunch special and the dinner special. I had the cabbage and eggplant both very yummy. My girlfriend had the same Shawarma, but her sides were pita and hummus. I think next time I'd like to try it in a wrap to see how it tastes we also had fries that were very well done and nice and crispy. Just the way I like them. It was a large portion. The staff were very attentive as there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant on a Thursday afternoon. But they made sure we enjoyed our experience.

"Oy, would it maybe kill them to put out a nice brisket?"…read more (The Big Bang Theory, "The Vegas Renormalization") Yes, they can! That, along with some great pastrami and corned beef also! I've been to the Ben's Deli in Bay Terrace, Queens and the one that was on 38th St in Manhattan (now rebranded as Mr. Broadway) and there used to be a counter in the Roosevelt Field Mall food court across the street. Whichever one you go to, you can always count on a delicious, fresh sliced deli sandwich and a hearty soup accompanied at your table by stainless steel trays of crisp dill pickles and a heaping pile of cole slaw (aka Jewish salad). Another thing they all shared is the throwback 70's pastel Formica® décor. The menu is a HUGE tabloid sized card with a tiny font to cram in as many choices as possible. Imagine a NY Times full page in color, x2. Meeting up with our godson at Ben's, he had arrived early and ordered some appetizers to share, a Mixed Starter Platter (Chicken Tenders, Mini Franks, Potato Pancakes & Mini Meatballs) and an extra plate of Mini Meatballs in Gravy. Those were tasty and I saved the gravy for later. Some of us also got the Matzoh Ball soup and the Mushroom Barley soup in big bowls. I totally forgot to ask about the rotating Soup of the Day, because I was hoping for Split Pea. Next time! If you're at Ben's, you really have to get the pastrami and around the table, everybody got it in some shape or form. My wife & son got the Deli Duos, which is 2 sandwiches (pastrami & corned beef) on mini Challah rolls. My son likes those with Russian dressing. Our godson got the Ben's Deli Dog, a grilled butterflied Hebrew National frank topped with Pastrami & Sauerkraut on a Club Roll & thick Crinkle Cut Fries. My BIL & I got straight Pastrami on Rye. I wanted to try my stuffed pastrami sandwich with different dressings, first the meatball gravy and then Russian dressing, but the Ben's course deli mustard is always the best. As for the brisket, I always love to have it as a hot open sandwich with plenty of gravy and mashed potatoes, which I will keep in mind for next time. Hot Tip: Don't be shy to ask for a refill of pickles and slaw. We always do.

We enjoyed of a pastrami sandwich, a square knish, an egg sandwich, a side of potato salad and close our feast chocolate babka, simply the best babka. Every table gets complementary dishes of Cole Slaw and pickles. The service was excellent tops. The eatery is cleaned, nicely decorated and welcoming. It was great to visit since I had not been in that Ben's for a while. If you're craving this kind of food, stop by you won't regret it.
