I really used to enjoy this SoBol but something has happened. The last two times i ordered from here, it was around 1pm. Each time it was clear that the bowl I was given was frozen overnight. The first time I could taste the freezer burn on the açaí. The second time the açaí was better but the bananas had a funky freezer taste. I will continue to order from here, just no fruit or only strawberries because clearly something in the freezer isn't working right. read more

They make a pretty good açai bowl here. They have three different sizes and sometimes I get my kids the smallest one. A regular is more than enough and the jumbo one is over the top. They give you the option to really tailor your order you can swap honey for agave. You also have the option of adding chia, flax, hemp, nut butter, extra fruits, etc. I also think that they are pretty good for the price. Many places are charging over $15 for a regular size order. This is my third time eating at SoBol and my second time at this one. We were fortunate to come when nobody was there ( can't say that about the crowd that followed!) so the service was swift and easy. I always get the Açaí bowl, the small, and for about $9 it is a full meal, delicious and filled with beneficial ingredients. It is also filling. No complaints. The ambiance of the store is pretty bland, somewhat non-descript. They have limited seating so be prepared to take your order with you. During the warmer months you'll eat and walk. I rocked a Super Green smoothie for about $7, which comes action-packed with spinach, kale, mango, banana, agave, and almond milk. I've always heard of SoBol but never had the chance to try one...until today. It was much better than I anticipated, I always figured it was just a glorified cup of yogurt with fruit so it was a nice surprise to see it wasn't just that. I got a standard Açai Bowl with granola, banana, blueberries, honey, coconut shavings & strawberries. It was great. Nice and chilled with tons of flavor. 4/5 stars I also got the Super Green smoothie which has spinach, kale, mango, banana, agave, & almond milk. This was also very good. I'm not Brazilian, nor am I an acai bowl expert from a beachy California town so take my opinion as you wish, from the perspective of a hungry longguyland girl. *cue heavy breathing* These bowls are AMAZEBALLS. Perfect, flavorful granola, fruit that's fresher than an angsty teenager and creamy delicious purple acai in the middle. I don't inhale these because I think they're going to cure cancer, diabetes, crohn's or encephalitis but because they TASTE Good. I'm sure there are plenty of feel good healthy benefits too -- it's fruit after all. Sugary, yummy, fruit. NO extra honey (their standard comes with a drizzle) needed. It's also very raw and clean looking on the interior but its not like I stay anyway. I get my bowls to go. I love them and my entire office does as well. Is that enough for you? If not, they also have the hype worthy sail away cold brew ON TAP (I love you?) , by bottle and other local long island goodies like subtle tea and such. I came to this business on a Sunday morning to order açaí. The cashier looked upset about taking my order the second I walked through the door, and her facial expressions were not welcoming at all. While taking my order, she was slamming the iPad with her fingers and giving me a nasty attitude. I work in customer service myself and I understand that people have bad days. While my entire family got their bowls and enjoyed them, my bowl however was not up to par. I specifically asked for no nuts and no almond butter. I received the bowl with the top saying "NUT Free" and when I opened it up at home there was the Almond Butter under all the fruit. Also we ordered 9 bowls and only recieved 8 of them. So all in all not a great first impression of this place I'm sorry to say. Had I been like the numerous people with a nut allergy this mistake could have equaled a possible hospital trip. Listen, it's great Acai. I go here after training because I feel like death. And it always reinvigorates me. It's immaculately clean and the employees are well kept. I just can't eat at a place where I walk in a get all skeevatzd, you know where it looks like your server's beard is about to fall into your milk shake. That does not happen here. The ingredients are 100% fresh, no crinkly strawberries or brown bananas. Nice vibrant red strawberries with juicy bananas. The bowls I get made definitely aren't healthy for me, but who cares, it's delicious. If I wanted to eat kale chips I'd go do that, but I want a nice cold refreshing acai bowl, so I go here. This little shop has one of the best açaí bowls I've had, it's tasty and filling but you can really taste that it doesn't have the amount of sugar as some other places. They have lots of add ons to bowls/smoothies, and the menu even shows health benefits of the ingredients. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys healthy eating. read more

I tried to like this place but I continually get let down every time I come here. First off, I am not sure how they make their bowls but you can easily tell that it is made up of hardly any açaí. It always comes out super icy with chunks of frozen berries and hardly any banana blended-it doesn't taste sweet at all! Also, I order my bowl and within seconds it comes out which shows you they are not making the bowls to order but just using a batch or mix that's been sitting around. But the worst of it all is their portions. I always get the super size and over HALF of the bowl is made up of granola (which doesn't taste great) so you hardly get any açaí smoothie. So one day I decided to get the super with no granola and almost half the bowl was empty! (Picture attached) Seriously? So I am paying 14$ for just granola? Another overdue review. My friend recommended this place to me as she knows the owner who is always working there #girlboss (I own businesses myself so I know the struggle). I was like sure another açaí bowl right? Wrong - I love SoBol RVC! It's always clean (which is big for me) and quick to get your order (in and out, so I don't have to put much in the meter). My açai bowl was delicious and fresh per usual. I get everything on it and I love the toppings and can customize them. My favorite add ins are almond butter with chia seeds for the perfect crunch. I wish I could have a bigger bowl with more coconut flakes to enjoy it more when I am driving but nevertheless... a balanced açaí bowl. The only downside is the lack of parking and there is only metered for the village of RVC, can't mess with that! But I always get lucky! Horrible customer service. My boyfriend walked in without a mask which he realized and covered his face with his shirt by the door. Instead of offering a mask which they had, the employees started SCREAMING at him and was very disrespectful and told him to leave. As someone that comes from 8 years of customer service the right thing to say was sir there are masks to the right of you please take one. Employees should never have a screaming match with a customer whether the customer is wrong or right. It was 5 people against one person. The employees not knowing he's a doctor, he then tried to explain that protocol is you must have you face covered at all times. It doesn't not have to be a mask, it could be bandana, scarves, t-shirts, sweater, and towels according to the CDC. This place has poor poor poor service. I will never go back. I hope camera's where present at the encounter so you can review with your staff the appropriate way on how to handle conflicts with customers. read more

I come here 3 times a week for the "Regular" Açaí Bowl (contains granola, açaí puree, banana, strawberry, blueberry, coconut flakes and honey drizzled on top). Almond butter and extra coconut flakes is a must. If I'm feeling extra fancy in addition to that, I'll add pineapple and have the açaí puree blended with coconut milk. The newest place to eat in RVC! I love how there's a good acai bowl place close to me without having to go all the way to Long Beach (or to California haha). The workers are so nice and the girl at the cashier took the time to explain the menu to me. You can get the standard acai bowl and make modifications to it. I got the pitaya bowl, which is basically blended dragonfruit and it was topped with mangos, pineapples, kiwis, coconut flakes, and granola-- basically a bit more tropical than the acai bowl. I wish they had more toppings such as bee pollen or cacao nibs, but that time will come since they're new! They also sell smoothies as well! read more
