Took my brother to get his hairs cut here in November and I get that it's a barbershop and customer service is probably not at the top of their list... but I'm a stylist myself and I think they could have been a little warmer. No one seemed all that pleased to see us walk in and the haircut was just ok. The barber just kind of did what he wanted to and didn't ask my brother many questions about what he liked or wanted. It also sucks that they don't accept cards in this day and age and resort to an atm machine. It's so much simpler to have square or PayPal on your device. read more

I've got my haircut here at SoCal barbershop a few times, it's been awesome, they have great barbers and a nice shop, everyone seems professional and willing to help everyone one out. I will advise to make an appointment so you know you'll be taken care of otherwise take a number LoL but other than that it's a clean and professional place to go and get a clean fade. read more

This place is a joke if I ever seen one and I've been to 7 different barber shops in Oxnard that are leaps ahead of this place in terms of skill in hair cutting and customer service. Aside from me coming in and waiting over 20+ mins with not as much as a greeting or offering a place to check in, I just decided to leave after I saw a new so-called "barber" walking in with a big gold chain not help any of the 4 total people waiting, but instead just grab some cash from the register and just talk to other barbers and leave. There were three other guys that came in after me and none of them were addressed either and one by one they all left too. I hate wasting time on bullsh!t places like this. They don't seem to be particularly good at cutting hair from what I was seeing but on top of that right when you walk in you see all these trophys for being number 1 in haircuts hahahaha that's a joke, right?! I mean anyone can print out a label for a fake trophy but clearly they are trying to be some serious posers. I just came here because of the good rating on yelp but I would not put it past these losers to have just had friends post those reviews. Not this (referring to me)guy. Real reviewer here, and be smart and save your money (btw they only take cash at that place and they have an ATM in the store that charges $2.50). There are a lot more barbershops that are legitimate. F*ck this place and all the Clowns that work here. In conclusion, if I could compare my experience at this place to anything, it would be calling a phone/cable or any billing office and just waiting on the line just to know the wait will not be worth it because they clearly do not care about their customers. I was in a pinch and needed a haircut for a wedding. The barber I normally go to was booked so I decided to give this place a shot. The person I spoke to on the phone was very cool and scheduled an appointment for the following morning for my son and I. We got there and there was two young guys there that had no idea who I spoke to but managed to fit us in. My son is 2 years old and still getting used to haircuts, the guy cutting his hair was visibly frustrated and suggested to bring him back at another time when my son is feeling better.. mind you, he had already begun his haircut. I was able to settle my son down for the remainder of the haircut and then it was my turn. Both barbers butchered mine and my son's hair. Later I found out that the so-called barbers aren't actual barbers but are still in training. Thankfully it's just hair and not the end of the world. There was another barber waiting for MY appointment to show up bc he didn't have a key. He calls Jose & the lazy ass says he's not coming. No reason, just wasn't going to make it. The only person working was the guy cleaning & sweeping. Then, a barber shows up while we're waiting inside & he walks in blowing his nose & dressed like a bum & starts calling the next client. Only been once but I love this place. I called to try and set up an appt for my 2year old son, they told me to just walk in. I said ok even though I was skeptical because it sounded really busy in the background. We got there after 5 if I remember correctly and it was indeed, packed. I thought we'd be waiting at least half an hour. Loved the vibe though, big screen TVs, pool table, friendly atmosphere and just the overall feel of a barbershop. We weren't sitting for more than ten minutes when Jose came up to take my son. He took his hand and off they went. Leaving mom behind and hung with the guys! Really great barbers as soon as you're walking in you are greeted to a warm welcome feeling like if they actually want your business. Hair cut was pretty good. Didn't very much appreciate a pool cue being shoved in my face twice while they were playing a game.

A friend of mine recommended this place because he said it was very professional and had nice haircuts, so I tried it out today and it was a great experience. The staff was cool and the place had nice design to it and good vibes. So I just started going there for my son to get his hair cut his barber Carlos Villanueva is great love how he does my sons hair just how I want it or my son other then that on Friday thy 4th of dec was my first time going to there restroom it was filthy smell nothing but urine there was no toilet paper or seat covers it was a disgust , the place is so on organized as well they need great customer service on the front desk and make people feel welcomed, when I went the first time I felt a little lost didn't know what to do it was my first time ever taking my son to a barbershop after an hour went by one of the guys there was very content with me making sure I was getting helped didn't catch his name but I was very appropriate , so this goes to the maneger make your place a better place. They will literally cut your hair the way they want even if you tell them how you want it . I walked in said I want a trim on the top and walked out with a side part . If I wanted that I would've asked for it and now I have to wear a hat bc the top is so unevenly cut which I didnt request for at all . Went into the barber shop to get a cut for the first time. I am really pickie when it comes to my hair. I am a good looking guy so I need a barber who has skills. I went to this guy, his name was lil puthy. He sits in the back and is kinda cute. I told him what I wanted and even before I could finish he knew what to do. After my cut he handed me the mirror and said if there was anything he can change. Never in my 21 years of life have I got a hair cut this good. They use the straight razor and give 5 star treatment. I just moved here to Ventura County recently and I had THE best experience. All the barbers are professionals. ESPECIALLY the barber who cut my hair.
